Giz Dinree used to be found around the corner to the right of the docks, by the shark.

Giz Dinree says 'Excuse me! I came here in hopes of being alone!'

Giz Dinree says 'You're a new rogue, then! Your mission is to kill the young daughter of the owner of the Seafarer's Roost. Wait for the right time. Why? You don't need to know. Do it and return Lyda's head to Tani in Neriak. I hope you can make it back to Neriak alive. Good hunting!'

Lyda Nasin was a spawn with a PH, second floor of the Seafarer's Roost.

I did this with a level 3 Dark Elf Rogue. I looked up the Tani when I finished to see if there was a 2nd quest, and found that he wasn't listed for this quest. I did it again to /log it.

We've been to the Roost four days now and Lyda doesn't spawn, day or night. Does anyone know if the quest is broken, or how to get Lyda to spawn? Thanks!

Talk to Tani N'Mar in the Rogue guild in Neriak. He'll tell you to go to Freeport docks and talk to Giz Dinree. She's out past the docks on the shoreline. You have to do a bit of swimming to reach her. When she spawns (at about 8 pm game time) tell her that "Tanl sent me" and she'll tell you to go kill Lyda Nasin. Lyda Nasin spawns on the second floor of the Seafarer's Roost, which is right nearby. At about 8 am game time, everyone else on the second floor despawns for a bit. Kill her upstairs, or lure her outside by telling her the ship is docking, and do the deed there. After you kill her, take her head back to Tani N'Mar in Neriak.

That's what I'm getting from the discussion here... but I can't get her to spawn. do you have to be in the Roost the morning after you talk to Giz? Lunce says she comes in at night to take over the bar, but she never comes in. She doesn't show up in the morning either... is the quest broken? I'd like that whip...

well i'm happy to say I finially got it. I am still a little confused as to how a lvl 2 did it they must have changed things since then. I made a mule once she is lvl 2 so I used her to fight lyda first. lyda killed her the first time. lyda was yellow to her. the seconed time i steped in and backstabbed but she was still on the mule so in 2 licks it was over. I think she may be tougher than she was before and maybe the running is new too. anyway anyone who did it at two can be proud she fought hard. I hope that wasn't a cheat but I wanted the whip lol

I'm a lvl 2 Rogue and I managed to finish this quest.

I took the portal to PoK came back to freeport and went through the tunnels. The NPC responded to "I was sent by Tanil" (the 'l' probably wasn't needed.

I used my sneak to get through the bar (eventually) and went upstairs. I finished the fight with 1/2 bub of health left and toom the head.

Faction for killing Lyda Nasin :
Coalition of Tradefolk got worse
Knights of Truth got worse
Merchants of Qeynos got worse
Coalition of Tradefolk Underground got worse.

I returned the way I had came and handed the head in with the following faction changed :

Ebon Mask got Better
Guards of Qeynos got worse
Wolves of the North got worse
Guardians of the Vale got worse
Carson McCabe got worse

I was rewarded with good XP, 10 Silver, and Cinctured Whip. Delay 30, DMG 5, AC 2. LORE Pri Sec Waist.

i am not sure but if you have MOD {Mask of Deciption} i think a bard can do it + bards got hide/sneak

You dont need to hide to pass the ogre and go upstair, just sneak. You are only KOS by one NPC and he dont look in your direction.

What level is Lyda Nasin? She is not in the beastiry and I would like to know plz reply

Can a barbarian rogue complete this quest if he has the mask that turns you into a dark elf?

Can I be a wood elf and do this quest

Also, Anaku, to get the quest from Giz you need to say "Tanl sent me". Even though the guy who give the quest in the guild hall is named Tani, the name you say is spelled t-a-n-l. She then tells you what to do.
