You say, 'Hail, Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Who dares to address me while I am clearly busy reviewing my daily research. I sure hope this is important Branaddar, I do not have time to waste on just any initate of House Spurned. Not a single day goes by that I do not come face to face with cannon fodder that is not even worthy of a headstone in our burial grounds. If you wish to [prove yourself] then I might be in a generous mood. '

You say, 'I wish to prove myself'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'I must admit this is not the first time I have heard someone say that nor will it be the last, however I am wiling to give you a chance. First thing we will need to do is get some clothes in your back if you wish to survive for any amount of time. If you are a young Wizard, Enchanter or Magician of House Spurned then I will present you with a [mystical sewing kit]. '

You say, 'what mystical sewing kit?'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'The Mystical Sewing kit that I have created is one that is able to fashion a material used for crafting clothes worn by all Initates of House Spurned. All that is required are Cloaks worn by Lightwalkers that plague our Forest to this very day. If you are to take my task and seek vegenence on this inferior group of Arcane lightwalkers you will pride your house along with gathering one of the [key ingredients] for your armor. I have heard rumor that they have tried to generate some kind of magic from a source shrouded by our forest. '

You say, 'what key ingredients?'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'You will be given different combination recipes for whichever armor piece you wish to craft. You will combine the specific items in the Mystical Sewing Kit that I will give to you when you are ready. After you have combined the correct items in your sewing kit you will fashion together a Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned. At that time you will put the pattern that I will give you for each armor piece you request in the loom along with this cloth to craft your Armor piece. I will also suggest that you craft your Breastplate last due to the difficulty of obtaining the items. Do you [understand] the instructions I have given you? '

You say, 'I understand'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Very well Branaddar, here is your Mystical sewing kit. I have the patterns and recipes necessary to craft Spurned Initiate [Skullcaps], [Bracers], [Sandals], [Sleeves], [Trousers], [Gloves} and [Robes]. When you feel you are ready to gather the items necessary to craft your armor simply tell me which piece you want to craft. The items that you will need to collect will mostly be found in the Forest but some will be here in town. As I said before seek out the Arcane Lightwalkers to collect the cloaks that you will need to make the armor materials. I look forward to seeing what you will make of this opportunity. '

You say, 'I want to craft the Spurned Initiate Sandals'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Vendui Branaddar, you will need to collect 2 Blood Drenched Cloaks, 2 Snake Scales, 1Ruined Bear Pelt and 2 bandages. Combine these all in your Mystical Sewing Kit to create a Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned that is used for creating your Sandals. Take this Sandal pattern that I have given you and place it in the closest loom along with your Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned to craft Sandals of the Spurned Initiate. '

It says you need a loom to combine these but were is the loom at? I cant find it. The combine doesnt work in my mystical Sewing kit (bloodstained Cloth for slippers and the Enchanted Slippers pattern)

The Loom is in the Silk Underground in the Neriak Foreign Quarter.

I could only open the Loom by clicking on one of the wooden parts of it, and the window that opened was titled 'Sewing Kit'... made me wonder if you could just use a normal Sewing Kit anyway?

I was able to use my deluxe sewing kit instead of the loom to combine the patterns and materials to craft these items. ;)

Has anyone managed to make sandals? The recipe (two cloaks, 2 bandages, 2 snake scales och 1 ruined bear pelt) doesn't work when I try it, I just get "You can't combine these items in this container" msg all the time. Anyoen out there who know the correct recipe?

Repeating the call for info - I'm running a 10th level Wizard on Innoruk, and can't get this quest to work. Anyone know of a correct recipie? Or is this quest non-functional?

I've tried all types of wolf/cat/bear skins, all qualities. No luck. I've seen a hint on eqtraders that "sleeve pieces" might be needed - but I don't know what that refers to.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

You have the correct ingredients. Just make sure you aren't stacking them. For all of the trade skills, it will not work if you stack the items.

I had the same problem tonight. I even went and got a different magical sewing kit to no avail. I'm wondering if there is a minimum level to combine the key ingredients. I had no problem with the bracers when I was at level 5 but this has been a complete failure for me.

*doh*

Figured it out - use bandages that you PURCHASE, not bandages that you MAKE.

I should've figred that one out WEEKS ago. It's identical to using water (when blacksmithing) that you buy versus water your forage.

Won't work.

Made my sandals last night. Fuzzy-boot icon, and gave me a CHA boost (What? I'm a short dark elf, and the boots have lifts in them making me taller and more impressive? Weird) among other things.

I had absolutely no trouble doing this quest with my dark elf wizard, albeit at level 23 she was a bit high for it.

The Arcane Lightwalkers are not called that as mobs, they are various Shapeshifter, Incantor and one other mob, Shapeshifters are mages with fire pet in the case of the one I killed, not sure what the others are as one nuke killed them instantly. I killed 6 to get 2 of the blood drenched cloaks, which are no drop.

Then it was just a matter of collecting a ruined bear pelt and two snake scales and I succeeded on both tailoring tries.

I was told you can do the second combine in a sewing kit rather than a loom, but I went to the loom in freeport on the 2nd floor of the blue building next to traders holiday in East Freeport.

I estimate the quest took me about 2 hours to complete. It would have been faster if I'd had a sewing kit, but it would've been slower if I'd been more of the appropraite level, so I think that's a fair estimate.

Actually, the Shapeshifters are enchanters, the Elementalists are the mages and Incantors are Wizards. Camping them tonight the Shapeshifters tended to be the higher (red to my lvl 8), the elementalists about 6-8, and the wizards 4-6. The enchaters never had a pet that I saw but the mages often brought up a fire pet and damage shielded themselves.

Also note: They have a HUGE agro radius and are very likely to help each other out if your current target wanders at all towards any of the others.
Cloak carriers

As Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says :
"All that is required are Cloaks worn by Lightwalkers that plague our Forest to this very day."

They can be found at the lavastorm mountains or the wizard spire

Do you mean in the Lavastorm Zone or just near teh Lavastorm Zone, but actually in Nek forest. I can't find these guys anywhere. Although, I have seen peops camping the area around the Wiz spiral
Faction hit?
# Mar 25 2002 at 1:02 PM Rating: Default
Does anyone know what the faction hit for killing the "Arcane Lightwalkers" is?

What race are they?
RE: Faction hit?
# Apr 30 2002 at 10:37 PM Rating: Decent
They're High Elves. You take negative hits to King Tearis Thex, Faydark's Champions and the Keepers of the Art. You get positive faction with the Dead.

Tailoring
# Mar 21 2002 at 10:37 AM Rating: Decent
These came up as trivial at skill 21 as did trousers and cap. Can't say yet if this will hold but another person and myself have made 8 pieces of spurned armor with no failures.
