I just did mine with kindly faction. Was amiable and tried to get the quest but he wouldn't talk to me. Killed about 50 - 75 giants, came back and was up to Kindly. He then gave me the quest, i turned in my eroded tunic and 3 unstacked flawless diamonds and presto, Cheastguard of the Beastlord.

Yeah same thing happened with me and get this MY FACTION WAS FINE he kindly considers me? is that to low oh i'm sorry I forgot it had to be perfect faction. Can someone tell me why this quest makes no sense when you hand it all in correctly and still get nothing and faction is good.

I gave Pearce Icefang the ingredients after talking to him and saying all the right things. after i gave it all it had failed. He kept my drops and did nothing what did I do wrong was I supposed to give 1 flawless diamond at a time or what I petitioned I am outraged
All Thurgadin quest armor requires a minimum of kindly faction. The gems need to be handed in UNstacked just like all quests that use stackable items(at least every quest I have ever seen).
who gives a ratts **** about how good rangers are or are not? this is a forum regarding this quest item, why not talk about the quest?, some faction info would of been nice, i just lost an eroded bp and 3 flawless coz im "only amiable" cheers nice one eq

I am relatively new to the EQ world. I have a lev 31 BST as my main. I love the character, but the weapons and armor i have, well, uh suck. What are some good quests for armor and weapons for my level.

where do Eroded Leather pieces drop? it isn't listed on Alak anywhere and I can't seem to find a single post or tidbit of info on any related link or page. Any assistance would be welcome
Eroded Leather armor drops in Kael off Lieutenants (higher level versions), Adjutants (higher level), Troopers, Legionnaires, Veterans, Sentinels (near Tormax), Guardians of Zek and a number of named giants.

it drops off any giant in the zone, just more common in the arena on veterans and such

Maybe I missed the intention for the Forum here but I thought it was about the Breastplate. Does anyone have this item or know of its stats? Oh yeah, buy the way who cares if some Ranger thinks that he's cool.... Rangers are probably the worst class in the game but I don't litter forums on the subject. A Rogue who knows how to Evade...

Hey, has anyone ever thought of getting your BL to 59 and getting group Clarity buff, that will stack with a Chanter's Clarity and AA skills.. Well, its true and was suprised when a lvl 60 Savage Lord (Beastlord) casted on me and I was being nice to a Chanter like I always am and casted SoW to get the attention of her Clarity. Well, she casted her C2 on me and I was suprised to see that it didnt cancel Spiritual Purity( BL Clarity). Kinda nice I'd say and a very good reason maybee to have a BL in your group rather than the typical 3 tanks along with a Shaman, Chanter and Cleric, beside at 56 my freakin pet rocks and I mean it. All you have to do after a fight when everyones medding is to scroll back up and count how many times everyone connected in the fight and you'll see that BL will give more damage output than any other melee class out there, but thats if your pet is buffed. I dont think people see that though because they're too busy watching what their own damage is or in denial to admit that just because they have higher AC means they should give more damage output as well. Well, my take on it is that every character has its stregth's and can add something to a group, but when I see 3 puller's in a group that got picked before me when Ive been on Ooc channel asking for group it kinda pisses me off when the leader wont pick you because he's too shallow minded to open his eyes and see what a BL can do. Well, I have to go lvl my BL some more now, but a word of advice as to what a BL should do to contribute to a groupm because the Chanter and Shaman can rarely afford to spend the mana on it and that is "Debuff", sure we dont have the better debuff spell for that task, but it makes a noticable difference. Beastlords get a 'crack' spell a bit earlier than 59th. Spirital Light (lvl 44) is a pretty nice addition to your c2/c3 spell. 1200 mana over 45mins.

To the 56 ranger : It's really easy to make a scenaro around yourself of what will happen but the fact of the matter is you don't know what will happen thats the point of dueling to simply sit their and say Ah yah ill root/snare pet the hand u ur **** is ridiculous ... I.E Beastlord Blinds u sicks pet chain blinds tell ur dead ... end of story .. see how easy it is to generate a scenaro of a duel to go in your favor? Think that's enough said

I played an SK up to 50 as my first toon and was amazed when i partnered with a lvl 50 BL and his pet outdamaged me and the BL... So i figured if u twink a Bst and have a pet like that you would rule... And at 44 i can noticably do more dmg than almost anyone near my lvl.. I mean cmon we get shammy spells with the spam of a monk.. Stop complainin they really pay off at higher lvls plate or not =p

I have a 40 lvl beastlord and it is my only character on this server. I would appreciate any advice on whether you experts out there think I should spend my time working on the twilight armor or the thurgadin.. I know all the stats havent been posted here yet, but id like to focus on one area for the time being...once again any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thurgadin armour is much better than the Twilight stuff, but it requires raiding on the arena, which is a 45 or 50 plus area. And it's very unusual to see it drop.
Ideally, you'd want these. Realistically, expect to put in a lot of time getting them.

Beast's are not warriors or pallies, they dont wear plate because they are hybrid caster/monk's. Do monks get to wear plate? no. And they do get good armor your just to stupid or lazy to find it or camp it. Hardened grey flesh doesnt have a high ac and decent stats? lol Even nathsar is decent armor. My god how much do you expect from a single class. There is alot of nice stuff out there you just have to find it. My beast is lvl 30 and i have mostly nathsar and various diff. pieces of gear and my AC is 678 at lvl 30, and im even wearing a few junk pieces. Yeah im twinked a bit but who isnt these days, so quit your crying and get off your **** and start camping gear.

Sure Beastlords may not get the best AC but Rangers have an even harder time with things. Why might you ask? How about because Rangers can/do generate more agro then warriors all the time. Unfortunately we dont have the AC or the HP to take the hit. Well neither do BL you cry, well that may be true, but you have your pet. The secret here is learn agro management. Keep the mob off of you and on the main tank, not too difficult. Ok, I'm done, Flame Away.

Hmmm I thought rangers have aggro reduction spells, therefore can manage thier aggro? .../shrugs

not till 51 and even then we have a tendency of it fizzling out. so up to that point we still have a tendency of aggroing the mob off the warrior which is not good.
i play a bstlord also and notice if i stay in the fight too long i start to draw aggro off also. and all im wearing is a siftclaw sash to make up for the loss of double attack. what do i do. well step back after i lose 2 and half bubs and nuke and watch pet.

You don't need great armor that is what the pet buffs are for. A lvl 49 BL pet can solo gaints in Kael. I was raiding Kael and I went LD, when i finally got back everyone on the raid told me that my pet would have solo killed a giant if it didn't disappear when I finally went LD. So If you think BL's are a broken class come duel me and my Warder and see how broken BL's really are. Or as the case may be. you will be the broken one. :)

guys dont delete your beasties yet they get a lot better when you start to see the world of eq trust me i level my beasty fast went from level 1 to level 40 i 7 days total time played and could woop a warrior my level easy infact have done so several times at guild bashems i would say we arnt the best class at low level but i now see at higher levels we are alot better than most infact i can still solo stuff yellow to me. stuff my 43 level pally couldnt solo if he tryied

What do ye mean we are a horrible class? I mean cmon our pet can freakin solo a wooly mammoth at level 22. We have one of the few pets that are level 60 as well. I have gotten to lvl 23 quicker than with my druid main. There are a few downsides, but definetely i would consider us a good class. The only thing that sucks is our quests!

truely i can't believe how bad we beaselords are getting shafted. It is a cool class to play but the only armor i have seen that is half decent is the Field priest armor in halas. Of corse me being barbarian it was east for me to get the whole set by lvl nine and the highest ac piece is the Field Priest's Leather and it only has 11AC and +2 to either str or sta, i forget which. But seriously verant needs to do something about beastlord armor , we arent that good a class to have to play with armor that a lvl 1 warrior would have it just isnt fair.

just guessing but based on the other "uber" BL stuff that weve seen this bp is prolly Ac4 wis4 str2 sta2 hp10 proc:lesser sheilding
nod...so far ive been playing my beastlord hapily and looking forward to some of the better no drop armors..NOT..from what ive seen so far all the beastlords getting the shaft real bad and being made to wear cheesy *** low ac newb armor with simple stats..i dont expect this stuff to be any different..sure we are a monk shaman crossbread but please we DONT get the ac bonus a monk does nor the weight penalties so at least give us some chain armor or a little more ac to work with..i outank most warriors already that are 5 levels higher than me and well the damage really sucks when ya dont have crap for a heal spell..shaman crossover bleh
