Eandalion keeps the other pieces just ask him about armor. You say, 'What about the breastplate?' OK STOP COMPLAINING! god this armor is good.It is better than BOTH crafted and crusty. also ALL races can use it so iksars like me can use this. if u want to say how crafted and all that peice of **** blue armor is better than post it on that armor page. sorry to be a nag but its true so STFHU!

I am so going to be doing this quest for my warrior. Its got nice stats and ITS FREE! You know not all of us have money to spend on crusty and crafted. This will be a BIG upgrade for my warrior.

do you need amiable faction with katta citizens to do this quest or is indifferent enough?
Look, I'm tired of seeing these post where people harp on others about what they have or what they want. If you don't like it, so what. Get over it and move on. Who cares about comparing this stuff to crafted or crusty. It doesn't matter, it may to you, but to other people, your opinion means nothing. So, do what you want. Get whatever armor you want. It's YOUR character, after all.

The meteor Jewel also drops in Scarlet Desert i got one off a bloodtribe warrior or shaman, cant remember which as it was one of many in my long session of xp grinding, hope that helped he who wanted to know

safehouse link seems to be the most informative so far that i have found. doing multiple quests now for guild..shammy, druid and warrior. spawn time on named turtles in twilight so far is around 1 to 1.5 hours. will post more later probably..

And to be honest CRUSTY SUCKS!!! why do you think it is only 300pp fer a damn bp? Cause it is so over used. The ac sucks. It crushs yer dex. And as a warrior u need to worry about AC,HP,and. Yer a meat shield, so do yer job warriors and get with it. =)

Ok for all of you who said this isn't worth the time.....did you happen to check the weight on this opposed to the crafted bp? Hello..zero weight here. Yes the AC is the same but with zero weight. I am questing for this the first chance i get.

Stats on soldiers bp are 22 ac +8 str +4 dex +5 sta +25 hp wt 0.0 id say that for the little people like us who cant use tree weave is a very good thing to make our strengh improve without spending 7-8 k on barbed ringmail or enchanted dwarven plate bp :)

I must say that this quest armor is a waist of time... not only are you getting close to your vel quest amor and have no need to even bother with questing this junk... but as it rthe ac is same as crafted... i dropped crafted back at lvl 20 and am wearing crusty and doing just fine without that little ac...
dont spend your time doin a quest like this just because itll raise a stat or 2 for so little... just get some lvls and get real armor... this armor is so ghey

/sigh, first of all, luclin is more for SOLOING than grouping or raiding. This armor is better than crafted. The best part about it is, you dont have to have a group, or a big raid to obtain it. Now, you speak of velious armor, your idea is good, but one problem, ITS HARD TO GET!! there is a reason that the Plate class quest piece for the Bp, multi-quests for some 40kpp, and thats just the thurg piece, wich is the weakest of all the velious quest armor. So ill work on gettin this twilight armor, and you work on velious armor, and we will see who has a full suite first k? Also, crafted requires you to buy gems, some wich cost 150pp or more, the twilight quest only require you to spend some time doing it, Id say that these new armor quests are perfect for the eq-er that wants to go solo for a bit.

I dont think Luclin is more of a solo'ing based expansion but rather it is meant to get better gear into characters hands at lower levels than before. Before Luclin what was the lowest level attainable generally accepted haste item you could find? The FBSS which is not a camp you can tackle before your 40's really. Now in Twilight Sea, Grimling Forest and Hollowshade Moor there are quest/mobs that can be done in 30's that offer some sort of haste (items that have Flowing Thought in 40's too!).
That is same with these quest they are part of character progression that is attainable for folks in their high 30's low 40's that hunt in the zones that alot of these pieces drop in. These fall in line right after the Crafted/Totemic line of armors which can be started in the high 20's low 30's. They dont take large guild effort, pickup groups will do just fine for all of these pieces (recommend picking up them trackers every chance you get btw).
The only real problem I have with this whole line of "upgrades" is the obvious lack of upgrading to the AC for the classes that really depend on it. The pure casters robes get huge upgrades from what I can tell from most readily available robes of the appropriate level. The melees, hybrids and shaman take a hosing on the AC upgrade end of this armor. These armors are nice for folks in smaller guilds to get as they head towards the quest gear of Velious.

no offense dude but if your gonna use ac as an argument dont use crusty as an upgrade to crafted, better stats but less ac
This breastplate isn't that great. It is alot like crafted, and takes a little bit too much time. As a young ogre warrior, I went all the way up to Level 50 in crafted, because at the time I'd never even heard of crusty or any of the other items. Stats mean close to nothing until you're higher leveled and working on achieving a certain AC goal. For myself, I've noticed 3 AGI = 1 AC, Dex is almost worthless, main stats for a warrior are AC, HP ( including STA ), Then resists, then AGI and Dex. Better to sell newbie low items you find while hunting, sell them, buy crafted or save up for something bigger like a treeweave.

Can someone tell me if vas ren dawnlord has a place holder or if he wonders around zone? can can somone confirm if he indeed does spawn in secret area under waterfall ?

Step 1 Visit dawn shroud and kill ervything in zone from wolves to shroom to light crawler it will eventually drop in 1 to a thousand kills
STEP 2 Pay a visit to tenebrous bring a pali friend cause u will have to fight some vampires that steal life for bout two hundred
STEP 3 go to twilight sea enter secret area which u may get by passing though under water tunnel right of katta follow river down to a secret cave under water fall and kill evrything and hope a vas ren dawnlord will pop in track

could someone give me a quick run through as in just item-zone-mob/lvl range for the items needed. I have a 42 cler. and tons of 46-58 melee friends. would love to get this for my war. would appreciate the info.

the meteor jewel drops off the vampires in Tenebrous Mountains we killed about 5 and got one so no idea of spawn rate sorry

i love how they put all the new twilight armor out, but they dont give any stats on it, not even gonna bother till someone does the quest to see if it is worthwhile
