It is a ritual that we perform to [purge the evil spirits] that are plaguing the thicket.' You say, 'Purge the evil spirits?' Hymnist Omiyad says 'Lately there has been a surge in the number of Loda Kai threatening our trade routes. This ritual is performed around a fire that burns from their [remains]. Setting their remains in the fire will free their tie with this world and shall ward off their numbers.' You say, 'What remains?' Hymnist Omiyad glances toward the fire. Quest still functions exactly as described here. I had better luck getting the remains off the harder Loda Kai in the West side of the zone.

I dont know if it helps, but off several guardians, on the west side, the hard side of the zone.... (other side of tunnels) I kept getting what looks like a leg bome off guardians. They are substantialy harder though. I cant remember the exact name, and I dont see it on Allakhazams loot table. Its the classic 'leg bone' icon, NO DROP, so most likely for a quest....??? I just looked at link, thats what it looks like .....

I did this quest after doing in some Loda Kai with a barbarian beastlord. It seems that indifferent is good enough.

Managed to do this quest while levels 9-11 untwinked. Got 4 remains after killing many Loda Kai. Just remember to hold on to them!

It seem's to be luck if you get the remain's I've killed near to 50 Loda Kai Brigands, and have only one remains to show for it, still have gone up several levels so not really complaining :)

Some people have said that the remains are ultra-rare, but I think it depends mostly on luck for that. I camped the LK camp for about three hours with my 22 ranger just for fun and profit, and ended up with seven remains. Not knowing what they were, since I'd not heard of the quest, I got rid of them. After finding out about the quest, I went back with my beastlords on three different servers, and after the past week, I have not found more than two or three total. :P Rangers have all the luck. *sigh* Oh well, off to kill more Loda Kai.

If anyone really believes this guy, must be as drunk as the author. Anyone who can't spell every other word and leaves out ALL the puntuation has got to have problems. Would you take advice from a person like that?
lots of questions pertaining to so many other quests. It is nice to see so many people actually attempting to complete them. There is ONE problem I will relate to you. The Lodi remains are VERY rare on the lower level side of zone. I've killed, butchered, maimed, destroyed and pillaged over 200 of the so called named creatures that are supposed to drop the remains. Fact is, if you go to the tent on the other side of tunnels that is where they seem to drop best. personally I think the quest is hosed. But good luck.

What are the Sharp Toothed Jawbone's for? Are these considered the remains here in stated for the quest getting the Talisman of Flame? Thanks for any help you can give.

I'm pretty sure this is the npc who asked me to return 4 darkened jawbones to her, the Spiritist at the tent between the merchants and the bank. She said the darkened jawbones could be found on the lesser shades, but I've not seen a single one drop and I have killed hundreds. Could she have meant the sharp toothed jawbone? I've seen several of these. They usually drop off of skeketal hunters though.

I completed the darkbone quest, the drops seem to have come in waves. The first night that I started hunting in Shadeweaver, I got something like 5 in about 3 hours. Then I discovered the quest (after destroying them) spent the next night without one drop. The 3rd night I got four in about 2 hours.
I have looted one and only one darkened jawbone off a lesser shade.

Untwinked at level 9 the Loda kai Brigands are reg blue to me but the pet helps me make short order of them, great for leveling and i have gotten the remains and the skulls relatively easily.

The Remains look like a single bone, and it's a No Drop item. They aren't as common as say the skulls or the insignia, but aren't as UNcommon as the earrings.
My Vah Shir is untwinked (using ONLY the weapons and armor he has gotten doing these and his beastlord weapon quests) and the LIVE "Brigands and Thugs" are light blue to him at 13, whereas the dead (ie skeletal) are still blue.

Please define "remains" We have camped Loda Kai everything, and have received "broken Loda Kai skulls" and have turned them in and he says "thanks for the skulls" We have killed a bunch of these guys, and have yet to find anything labeled "Remains". can someone please help?

These guys are all still red to me at lvl 6. I believe that the minimum level must be closer to 8 or 9 or higher. I know there are others higher than me. Have you done this at a lower level? Untwinked?
