Quest begins in Katta Castellum in the Gnomish area beneath the city. Find the small temple like structure and Toktonn is in a room directly across from the entrance.

'Hail, Toktonn Geerlok'

Toktonn Geerlok says 'Well met kind Human. I am Governor Toktonn Geerlok of the Loyalist Combine. It is my duty to oversee all matters concerning engineering, construction, and maintenance within Katta Castellum. There is a wonderful ore native to Luclin called [Acrylia] that has proved to be a valuable asset to my crew and I.

You say, 'what acrylia?'

Toktonn Geerlok says 'Yes, it is a marvelous luminescent ore that when properly smelted has properties similar to the finest of steels, and sometimes even better. Depending on the purity of the ore of course. The Tenebrous Mountains are rich with very pure acrylia veins but unfortunately the Grimlings have overrun the mines and are not willing to allow others to mine the ore. Instead they horde it for their tribes to the south. I am permitted by the Validus Custodus to reward those seeking to cleanse the mines of the Grimlings. More precisely to pay a reward for every four grimling mining picks presented to me.

Bring him four Sturdy Grimling Mining Picks. Found on grimling orefinders, geomancers, laborers, and foremen in the mines of Tenebrous Mountains. Seemed to be an uncommon drop.

Toktonn Geerlok says 'Excellent! Soon the grimlings may be coerced into being less stingy with their precious ore!

Your faction standing with Concilium Universus got better.

Ummm...these also drop off grimling orefinders in TM which a lvl 35 can mele solo so I imagine other classes as well could. Drop is sorta common, usually get 3 or 4 of these a night whilst farming.

Im either lucky or found something. I found a vendor selling two of them for 2pp each. Now considering they sell dor 100+ that is awesome. But im gonna give them both to my rogue instead, just for a twink item. They may not be magic, but when you are in your lvls, like 5 like my rogue, nothing is magic lol, so i love this.
Easy Way to find Picks

Bout the easiest way to find these picks is to wander around the southside of the Tenberous looking for wandering light sources. The sturdy grimling mining picks radiate light a little better than that of a torch.

On a side note, I gave these to my dwarf warrior just to see what my dwarf would look like as a miner. Turns out these little suckers ain't that bad of a weapon for lower levels.

We had a pick drop off one of the vampires at the fort last night.

The picks are actually a nice - of all things, piercer. They weigh 0.4, have something like 11/29 or 12/29 dmg/dly. If it wasn't for the fact that they have an absolutely lousy graphic (mining pick!), these would be rockin' piercers. They also have a save+3 to I believe Disease. (will have to check next time I'm on).

If players sell them to merchants in Katta, the merchants will sell them back to you for about 2pp.

And I have been giving these to the newbie VahShir! Geez! It is a decent weapon for them. (Not the War Pick, the Sturdy one.)
