You say, 'Hail, Latrag Darkaxe'

Latrag Darkaxe lets out a resounding belch. ''Har there lad! Ye be sure 'nuff to tell em all that Brewmaster Latrag is retiring.''

Latrag Darkaxe regards you indifferently -- You would probably win this fight..it's not certain though.

You say, 'Retiring?'

Latrag Darkaxe says 'Ya got that right. I'm goin' to concentrate more on me devotion to Brell as a holy knight!

You say, 'What holy knight?'

Latrag Darkaxe says 'I be a paladin of Brell thar Daias . Might ye be a paladin yerself?

You say, 'I am a paladin'

Latrag Darkaxe says 'That's good. Ya know I have some armor ye might be interested in.

You say, 'What armor?'

Latrag Darkaxe says 'Yar! I have me a helm, breastplate, vambraces, greaves, pauldrons, and a bracer. If ye want the rest talk to the mighty holy warrior Trallen over there about armor.

You say, 'What about the breastplate?'

Latrag Darkaxe says 'For the breastplate ye gotta bring me a star jewel, a mark of courage, a white marble bowl, and a jagged reed.

Why do these quests? That's the question everyone asks. Why not just camp for something better?

I did the Armor of Ro quests because I wanted them. Sure, there's better. And yes, I almost gave up on it because it was a major pain. But I stuck with it, completed them all, and yes, I wear it. First, because I'm proud that I actually completed it all. Second, because I've never seen anyone else in a complete set of Armor of Ro. People inspect and ooh and aah, even if they know there is better. I carry Soulfire for the same reason. It's impressive, even though my Shieldstorm is a better weapon.

So why would I do these? Because I've yet to see anyone in a complete set. Because I'll get to see zones I might otherwise not visit. And because there's more to the game than seeing if you can be more uber than the guy next to you.

That said, I'll start with the pieces the Armor of Ro does not cover. Shoulders, face, neck, waist. And move on from there to the rest. If anyone would like to join me, or trade for items for the other classes, give me a tell or email me.

You may be more uber than me, but I'll still be the best dressed Paladin on Veeshan.

I am with you ont he soulfire and complete set of Ro armor, but at 45 (sugested level for this quest) most pallys have a Deepwater helm just waiting to use the clickable daring and start their Deepwater set if they haven't already. Yet I am still going to get a full set of twilight armor basically to make my pally Mule look awsome :-)

Mark of Courage
# Apr 04 2002 at 9:43 PM Rating: Decent
Hello all

I would like to know how to get the Mark of Courage from A Courageous Vas ren Invader in the scarlet desert. Those blue things are everywhere and I didnt see one. I dont want to have to bring a raiding party to get one piece. Anyone have any idea? Thanks.

The mark of courage drops off of a courageous tro jeg invader (red alien) and you'll have to kill tro jeg invaders until the mob pops. Since the invaders roam it would be a good idea to bring a tracker along but be prepared for a long camp.

Where exactly in Twilight is the guy for the Pally Twilight? A loc or general area would be nice.

Latrag is in the house on the first isle in TS from Katta. Go up steps, down hall, then to right, thru door and Latrag and the other TA quest dude are there.
NICE STUFF!

I read the posts that say "this is crap". BAH! I play an erudite paladin as an alt, and the best armor i have found that would be better than ro armor is erudite racial armor--prexus imbued steelsilk, which doesn't require the highest tailoring to make, but is expensive! figure about 800pp to make it, considering 4 rubies for purified mana (for EACH piece no less!) and a platinum thread. Similar ac to ro armor, but much better stat adjustments. Now, there is this. Boy o boy! I'm not saying i'm gonna go out of my way and try to get the items for the armor here, tho i can use the xp to get the next two levels to start planar raiding, but if i find the quest items for this, the warrior armor (I like the idea of crafted ac with better stats!) or cleric or shaman (yah, yah, too many alts, i know), I'll hang on to them and turn them in. The posting does not show the pieces as no drop, so why not? Or, since no cash is involved, give them to a friend who's main char is a paladin. my baby can wait till she gets big enough herself for this unless the opportunity presents itself. I know my friend would love it, and mebbe I'll talk him into moving to the moon for a while to work on this. Mebbe i'll take my shaman so he can have some buffs and healing and work on shaman pieces too, and twink my main with the pieces (is it twinking if your alts get something your main can use, and your main is higher level than your alt? hmmm). I've done that before. So, in my humble opinion, for what its worth, this armor is worth the time to get, and xp to boot!

The armor of Ro offers some wonderful stats, the racial armor (at least for my Eru/Pal) was nice too. I enjoyed the crusty, dont get me wrong, but to say everything else is crap is innacurate.

I like the Twilight Breastplate, it's a nice upgrade from the Armor of Ro for meleeing. I think I will do these quests and use the armor until I venture to the plains and try to locate some nicer stuff.

Up and down and around and around I've looked for the pieces for armor quests in Twilight Sea. I've came up with many assorted pieces in my farming since Luclin came out and I must say it has not been worth it. These pieces are horrible when you consider the the quality of the piece/level needed to do. Once I finished my first quest, (wizard arms) I quickly ran to the washroom and threw up my lunch. Thanks Verant for wasting my precious time, I'm gonna go do something worth while now.

Got 2 sun gems off Coterie Legos by the GF zone in Tenebrous in successive pulls. Also got white ceramic bowl there and some other class stuff.

I'm starting to believe that gems and marks are random uncommons off of any mob that carries them.

havent seen anything drop for this quest in tenebrous yet, do you mean the sonic dire wolves or the vampyres in wolf form which are tougher.

think I will go for the full set of this and start getting rid of my etched iron.

Unless you are a quest junky these quests are not worth doing. I have spent hours hunting in these zones and all I have are a bunch of different items for a bunch of different classes and it looks like the armor that you get is pretty average. Not even worth doing on Firiona Vie server(which is where I play) I should note that the monk stuff looks to be nice, but it is much easier to go camp something specific and get something nicer than this stuff. AND no I do not miss the point of it being "fun" to do quests. These quests are all mixed together and by the time most people finish them they will be sick of the game. Go do your epic quest. I think you can finish it faster.

Ok here is the deal: After extensive board skimming, I have found that most if not ALL jewels are dropping in Dawnshroud Peaks off of Shrooms and Wolves. Other Hot spots to kill are the secret Lair in Twilight, Scarlet desert(Drops off of Cheetahs Grol Baku's I think and other things.) Marks are also dropping in Dawnshroud as well as Tenebrous mountains off of the Coterie vampires I think but not sure and marks I have seen are dropping in Dawnshroud as well as SD. Some of the other items are dropping a lot in SD(Scarlet Desert).

Recap:
Jewels drop mostly in Dawnshroud off of Fungus Mushrooms and Wolves which are dropping other items as well.
Other Jewels and Items are dropping In Scarlet desert off of ??Grol Baku's?? cheetahs and what not.
Secret underwater lair as well as the shadow island in Twilight are dropping them as well.
**Other Reports** Things are dropping off of Vampires and other Creatures in Tenebrous near Grimling zone and I have even seen a post with items dropping off of Grol's in the Vah Shir Newbie zone(try looking at the vendors to see if they are sellable, which most of these quest items seem to be sellable)

**Patterns** Things seem to be dropping off of mid to high level monsters, that have bad faction with Katta Castellum or Santus Seru.

Thanks guys dont stop, keep posting more as you go along, this is just the first step. They obviously designed the quests exactly like the velious quests (same jewels needed for corresponding pieces are dropping in specific zones).

Thanks for your time, I will be posting this on all chest pieces in forums for quests.

All Paladins go search and destroy all monsters in Twilight Sea and return back with info, I want some new Paladin armor that no one has got. And also, more than likey this armor will be close to armor of Ro in my oppinion.

Hey there, I was poking around in a SECRET forest in Twilight Sea and killed "a mighty underbulk"... when I finally did kill it, it dropped a gem for druid armor... altho its not Pally stuff, I think that the gems we need are dropped in there....
