When the event starts, you can attack Rufus and get him to 90. An engineer spawns; everyone burns it down, then return to Rufus. At about 70, we send three groups outside the arena to deal with three mobs that will pop in the towers north of the arena. Burn those down but balance it. When that is done, return and burn down Rufus, but have the raid plant two markers in the arena because during this last part, there will be people emoted that create an area that will be damaged by the surrounding mob of onlookers. Keep the raid bunched together and tank the boss on the markers. Just move the raid to the other marker to avoid the area that is going to be affected. Hope this helps! Good luck!
