This task is part of the Tempest Festival events that run in May.
You can obtain this task from Rand Tanlonikan in Barren Coast. He is found at /waypoint -169.02, -62.74, 4.80 at the merchant camp. Rand Tanlonikan says, 'That is odd. There are no sirens in this area. I guess I will be avoiding the water for a bit. It's a shame really, I was working on fishing for the Tempest Festival. Can't have a feast without the [fish].' You say, 'Fish? I can fish.' Rand Tanlonikan says, 'Really? Great here is a list of what we need oh and keep an eye out for anything odd. Sometimes its fun to catch something no one expects.' You have been assigned the task 'Method to the Madness'. A Crazed siren wrecked Rand's boat, and now he is too scared to get in the water. Rand had been fishing for the Tempest Festival feast and now has no fish to deliver. He is asking for help filling the fish order for the festival. Catch 10 Gruions and deliver them to Rand. Catch 6 Barren Croakers and deliver them to Rand. Catch 6 seaperches and deliver them to Rand. Catch 4 Thunderstruck Barracudas and deliver them to Rand. Catch something unexpected, perhaps something dropped by the siren, and deliver it to Rand. All of them items can be fished in the water right by Rand. All of the fish are tradeable. Barren Croakers and Seaperches fit in tradeskill bags. Gruions and Thunderstruck Barracudas do not. The unexpected item is a Siren's Pearl. It is No Trade, so you have to fish that one yourself.
