This is the third Tunare quest. You must do the first two before you can do this one.

You say 'I am ready to become a Warden of Tunare.'

Yeolarn Bronzeleaf says 'The crate that the you recovered from the Courier contained this black candlestick that radiates an aura of great magical power. I request that you deliver the candlestick to Lady Trilani who is studying with the High Men in Erudin. Perhaps she can divine the nature of the candlestick and offer aid in defeating its power. The remaining contents of the crate have been given to Crusader Swiftmoon to be delivered to a gnome in steamfont that is purchasing them on behalf of the Eldrich Collective. When you return be sure to present your Disciple Symbol to me with anything that Trilani may ask you to deliver.'

You receive a Black Stone Candlestick. Take this to Trilani Parlone (The Mystic Cloak Quest NPC) in the Erudin Palace.

Trilani Parlone says 'I sense a great evil power in this candlestick. I will need you to concoct a divinatory aid for me before I can discern more. Take this suspension and brew it in a brew barrel with one white hellebore (dropped by Gnolls in Split Paw or SK), a pouch of the red dust created by the Fire Peak Goblin Wizards, and the caustic substance used by the werebats in Unrest.'

You receive Magical Suspension Fluid.

-- Note: The pouch of red dust seems to drop off random goblins in Solusek's Eye. It seems like every goblin has a chance of dropping it.

-- Also, all of these items are NO TRADE, and you can usually just ask people hunting in the zones to let you loot them.

Get the ingredients and brew them to craft Divinatory Concoction (trivial?); Take this back to Tilani.

Trilani Parlone performs a subtle divinatory ritual. 'This is a powerful evil indeed. The smoke from special candles crafted by the Teir'Dal and burned in this candlestick allows the creation of undead of unordinary might. The Ghasts are only one of its many possible creations. I will concoct a powder for you to take back to Yeolarn that will assist in defeating the monstrosities the candle has produced. The candlestick itself will remain here within the High Tower of Erudin for the time being.'

our faction standing with King Tearis Thex has been adjusted by +1

You receive Powder of Unanimation. Take this powder and your Disciple symbol back to Yeolarn:

Yeolarn Bronzeleaf says 'Praise Tunare!! I will have our sorcerers examine this power immediately to see if we can reproduce it in quantities enough to eliminate the undead plague. I award you the rank of Warden of Tunare, the All Mother smiles upon you, ______!'

Faction changes for completing the final turn-in:

Your faction standing with Clerics of Tunare has been adjusted by 40.

Throughout the castle is where the offerers spawn. Deep inside from what I have seen.

A fellow druidess was extremely kind to me, and led me into Mistmoore Castle to retrieve the thick caustic fluid. I am not too familiar with the castle, but I believe that we took the staircase up right before you would go through the ball room. From there we went off to the right, up a set of steps, and into the room with the dark offerer. There was also a dark herald that was blue to me at 45, and a dark sacrifer, which was green. We were able to get all the way up to this room without any of the mobs there seeing through our invis. One of them does cast a fear spell though. It was cast on me a number of times, thankfully I resisted it each time. I hope this helps out, now to get my red dust :)
Same White Hellebore as for Poison?
# May 02 2001 at 6:04 PM Rating: Default
White Hellebore which is tradable/stackable has been a poison making component for some time, and drops off many gnolls, including the named ones in SK (and can often be found on vendors...). Does anyone know if the quest uses the same stuff, or is it different (Lore, non-stacking, etc)?

I guess I was just one of the lucky ones. I camped the Fire Goblin with some guild mates (who were there for fun and possible drops of the pouch themselves) and after only 2 PH the Fire Goblin spawned. What's even better, he had the pouch on him. So I only had to spend less than an hour camping him. :)

Just completed the quest on 4/27. After brewing the concoction, you go back to Eruden and give the finished result back to her. She hands you a Pouch of Powder of Unanimation. Its No Drop and has 2 charges of the lvl 60 Cleric spell that destroys Undead with no XP or loot. You take that powder back to Yeolarn Bronzeleaf and hand it in along with your Deciple Symbol of Tunare. He then hands you the Warden Symbol of Tunare. Just to verify the stats, they are:

AC 7
Wis +3
Cha +2
Mana +15
Effect: Grasping Roots

And for those who ask, yes its right-clickable. Good luck getting this item, it rocks.

Miserable, horrid, long time, extremely boring... on Druzzil, I camped the thing for 36 hours straight and still have not gotten anything. I wish these folks would do something about this... I will probably get it to drop within the next 20 hours.. but still, thats miserable.

Who gets brewing result?
# Apr 26 2001 at 8:56 PM Rating: Default
After brewing the items is the result returned to Trilani or Yeolarn Bronzeleaf in Felwithe together with the Initiate symbol?

I assume you return the brewed (whatever) to her and then she gives you something in return to return to Yeolarn together with the disciple symbol. Is this a correct assumption?

Is it possible to get the Warden Symbol and then recomplete the first two parts of the quest, thus getting the Disciple Symbol as well.

Red Dust
# Apr 21 2001 at 7:33 PM Rating: Decent
When you turn in the brewed potion you will understand the rareness of the red dust, your given a pouch of dust to turn in with the disciple of tunare symbol, the pouch has 2 charges of banishment of shadows, the level 60 necro & cleric spell which gets rid of undead for no exp or loot, and if the red dust were more common everyone would be camping it just to get the item to get spawns broken on raids, now only the people who really want the symbol & are willing to camp for MANY hours will get it
Large Goblin

Dang you guys got lucky :P I spent 4 straight days camping the large goblin to finally get it..I was wondering if you need skill in brewing to make the item ? or if they combine mo matter what
RE: Large Goblin
# Apr 21 2001 at 7:24 PM Rating: Default
No brewing skill is necessary, they combine in brew barrel with no skill
RE: Large Goblin
# Apr 24 2001 at 1:23 PM Rating: Decent
That information is incorrect. There is a brewing skill check. It is very low, but you can fail =(
Pouch of Red Dust
# Apr 21 2001 at 4:05 AM Rating: Good
As posted by others here, I looted the pouch off a large fire goblin who presumably is the place holder for Lord Gimblox (approximate location is -800 -350) in Sol A. The spot spawns about every 20 minutes, but isn't always a large fire goblin. The pouch finally dropped after over four and a half hours of camping this spot.

Don't ask me why the quest says a Fire Peak Goblin Wizard. /boggle

I found a pouch of red dust on a Fire Goblin Wizard - it may in fact drop randomly on all the Fire Goblins

It doesn't say the wizards carry the dust, only that they create it -- merely a pointer to the zone.

Something doesn't seem right, the other two are simple to get, but I've spent over 50 hours camping the dust off the Large Fire Goblin and haven't gotten it to drop yet?!? Got tons of gimblox rings to drop, and STACKS of asmag and soot hemlock. What am I doing wrong? Did they forget to put it into the loot table for my server? I'm pulling my hair out over this.

I am gona make a blind guess on this one. Is it possible that the "Fire Goblin Wizard" also drops this once in a while? Could it be an ultra rare drop for all the Goblins or specifically some of em? Why not?

Took about 24hrs online camping the Large Fire Goblin but i got the pouch today.

The Warden symbol of Tunare stats are as follows:

7ac 2cha 3wis 15mana Greater Lightsource
same race/class restrictions as previous symbols

effect: Grasping Roots (lvl 5 druid root)
aroudn a 4 second casting time, but easy enough to keep on with snare already in place.

That's kinda disappointing that they put a Root spell on it. I was hoping for a continuation of the poison/disease resist, perhaps one that would last for 15 minutes or so. Not that a free root is a bad thing though. Frees up a spell slot at least, if you don't mind the low level root. Is there a 4th quest?
RE: Finally Got mine
# Apr 23 2001 at 4:19 PM Rating: Default
Have you used Grasping Roots lately? It lasts quite a while at higher levels. Probably almost as long as engulfing roots, it just does less DD. It's a great spell even at lvl 50-60 and to be able to cast it for free isnt that great, its the freed up spell slot that rules, because you will always want root memmed.
RE: Finally Got mine
# Apr 17 2001 at 3:44 AM Rating: Default
I like the root effect. I have no need for a stupid poison disease buff. Maybe for a lower level the poison and disease would be nice, but now that root doesn't cancel snare, it makes our kiting a little bit easier (for a druid). So it's great for the levels that it is meant to be obtained.
RE: Finally Got mine
# Apr 17 2001 at 4:20 AM Rating: Default
actually its the other way around, root might be good for lower levels but that disease/poison (if it would last a little longer) is very good for dragon raids etc.

Need all the resists you can get especially in poison and disease against trak/wuoshi/severilous

ah well, better then nothing and sure as hell beats some of the other diety quests, not a bad item

I agree. The 5th level root would be a good mana saver for the low to high teens maybe, and the poison/disease is a nice bonus to Hate plane. I used the Aloe Sweat several times in Hate last night, boosting my PR/DR to around 95 with my other items. I got diseased on rare occasions, but I resisted almost all the time. Wish it lasted longer than two minutes.
RE: Finally Got mine
# Apr 16 2001 at 5:19 PM Rating: Decent
Nope, no fourth quest. This line is similar to the Inny et that DE's get...of course theirs has clinging Darkness which is broke as hell if you do it with a Troll Shaman.
RE: Finally Got mine
# Apr 17 2001 at 4:27 AM Rating: Default
I don't consider the Inny item broken for troll shaman, it's nice to have an item with an effect that is an extra beyond what they can do normally.

It is either a very very very rare drop off the gnolls in Lake Rathe or they don´t drop this. I was there for 3 levels with my alt (yes, after the patch) and haven´t seen one drop.
RE: White Hellebore

try the lteth gnolls in split paw, they dropped the white hellebore for me there. they are the grey, rogue gnolls.

After erasing a good lengthy description ... I'll give you the VERY shortened version...

Spoiler info...

Ghasts - They roam ... not a static spawn

DE - spawns at the undead pole thingie

DE Courier - Spawn at or near the DE Camp

White Hellebore - Leth gnolls in Paw *NOT no drop

Pouch of Red Dust - Large Fire Goblin in Sola - took quite a bit of time

The rest is pretty straight forward....

It's a good midlevel quest... did take some time though.

I do wear this now. Changed out a couple of items and got my AC up. Anyway... I'll not spoil the end product for you... it's a pretty nice necklace.

Tried combining some things today
Suspension fluid,
Caustic substance,
White hellebore (From casters gnolls in SplitPaw)
and...
Russet oxide from lavastorm, (just something I tried, oxide is red and everything hehe)

Combined those in a barrel and got message that it was incorrect something and the barrel ate up the suspension fluid and caustic substance which proves those are correct atleast (no surprise)
But it left the white hellebore and russet oxide(of course)in the barrel.

Any chance that this white hellebore is the wrong kind? Does it have to be a lore no drop tag on the item and does it drop off something new?
Just curious if someone found another kind
