At the end of the previous quest, you were told of a "quest of greater importance."

You say, 'What quest of greater importance?'

Tiam Khonsir says 'Very well then, you may be able to help us. Go to Breya and tell her I sent you. She will brief you.'

Go find Breya Nostulia.

You say, 'Hail, Breya Nostulia'

Breya Nostulia stares off into the distance in meditation. Her eyes are a light blue, much like the tropical waters of the ocean between Odus and the mainland. She ignores your greeting.

You say, 'Tiam sent me.'

Breya Nostulia says 'Seems you've slain quite a few kobolds, then. This is good. You will need to kill many more to fulfill your quest. While the kobolds are fairly primitive, they are an ancient race and have learned to wield the powers of the spirits. This ability is the only thing that has kept us from eradicating them completely. We need you to find instruments of their craft.'

You say, 'What instruments?'

Breya Nostulia says 'There are two items we seek. The shamans carry medicine pouches in which they hold the materials of their craft. Only the more adept shamans are allowed to carry the pouches; seek them out. The other item we seek is of greater importance.'

You say, 'What other item?'

Breya Nostulia says 'The other is a magical bowl from which a highly skilled shaman may divine the future or diagnose illness. Only the wisest of the kobold shamans have the intelligence to use the bowls, or perhaps an outcast with powers that the other, larger kobolds fear. Bring me a kobold medicine pouch and the diviner's bowl and you shall be rewarded with the armor of our trusted knights and priests.'

Kobold Medicine Pouches drop from A Kobold Shaman. The Diviner's Bowl drops from Krode the Diviner. Hand in the items.

Breya Nostulia says 'I'll need both the kobold medicine pouch and the diviner's bowl before I can reward you, ______. Good luck.'

Breya Nostulia says 'Well done, ____. I had a feeling you would return victorious. Here is your reward, the Leggings of Midnight Sea. Wear them with pride for the Ocean Lord. If you are interested in aiding us further, you may want to ask Gans about his brother.'

I just hope Verant will make other quest to get other visible part for midnight seas armor. I am in posession of the 3 armor piece in game so far and the look is awesome. Look is dark blue with some black reflection it. And with my Gauntlet of the black, that make a very cool appearance. Will send a pic of the armor for the fashion page.

Paineel Cleric

What's the stats on this stuff? You sure it's PAL & CLR too? The coat that drops in Warrens I heard was only Paladin.

What are the chances a Paineel Cleric can do this quest? I think I took too many molars into Paineel Palace hehe. Probably KOS now :(

It is highly doubtfull that an evil Erudite cleric will ever be able to to do a quest from the Deepwater Paladin's guild. Your religion will always make them detest you, though you may get faction high enough they don't kill you immediately.

Sorry to say, yes anyone can get good faction anywhere no matter of religion, as long as you work at it. I know wood elves who bank in Neriak, dark elf clerics who have an aegis of life. Just as long as you have patience, you can do anything you want.

Quite right. My fiancee's Cleric of CT has these things, but it was a pain in the patoot to do it. In this particular case, she was able to raise her faction with the Erudin guards simply by hunting the Warrens from Lvl 5 to 8, then moved into Tox and hunted some Erudite NPC that raised Deepwater Knights as one faction for killing him (don't recall the name, he sits at a dock and uses Necro tactics). That let her talk to the people, then we went off to do the Ocean scavenging. Killing the cat IS rough, but we got lucky and only needed two tries to do it.

Course, then she had to hunt the Warrens for another 3 levels to get where she could sell in Paineel again, but, hey! The sleeves she got sure go nice with the coat she had. Now we just gotta get these legs to match it up. :)

Krode the Diviner

Good luck getting this guy. He's in the batling caves under the warren. You can get there by going down the trap door in the kobold warlords room. Only problem is the batlings. All of them cast spells and they swarm all over you. They have taken down players in their 30s very quickly.

The key to Krode is simple it is called grouping. In a party of three (SK lvl22, CL lvl21, Ench lvl20)I have been able to take Krode and the entire room he is in with no party member deaths. The Ench needs to target the batlings by the fire and try to time an AE mez to get one or two of the wandering batlings. As the Ench casts mez the SK and CL hit Krode. Krode will drop fast as will any batling that you concentrate on. They pack a powerful punch but they have few hp relative to their lvl and die quickly if you can take them one at a time (which you can with an enchanter in the party). Incidently the above party has taken down every named mob in the warrens multiple times.

I fail to see how they can take down players in their 30's considering that Batlings stop aggroing after about level 25-28 or so. I've had no trouble jumping down there with my 30 Ranger, however my first visit to warrens when I was lev 25 was frightening experience. Dropped down unknowingly only to have 3 batlings all nuking me. I survived with about 50 HP left.

Easier way to get in there is to use a secret passage behind where Muglwump (the giant tadpole) spawns. Less chance of aggro using that route.

Krode the Diviner's room itself has about 8 batlings in it. Good luck to anyone under level 30 (which by the way, is too high to get the LORE loot of Krode anyway).

I was exploring down there with my lvl 20 druid, and found one mischievous batling and killed it. It conned low blue but it's spells dropped my hp bar fast. After that fight i hid and medded up. While medding I saw all these messages pop up at the same time in my chat screen:

a mischievious batling begins to cast a spell.
a mischievious batling begins to cast a spell.
a mischievious batling begins to cast a spell.
a mischievious batling begins to cast a spell.
a batling spiritchanneler begins to cast a spell.
Krode the Diviner begins to cast a spell.

Looked like one nasty gang in there. Good luck to anybody going in there.

You get midnight sea leggings. Then you get the next quest for midnight sea vambraces.. Really nice gear for the level you can get this stuff. About level 18. Erudite paladin or cleric only though.

And the important question:

What are the stats on these leggings and vambraces, and what do they look like?

And the REALLY important question:

Do they match the Barnacle Breastplate?

=)
RE: Reward
