You say, 'hail Jaylia the Faithful'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'Greetings Dryanna , I am Jaylia the Faithful, daughter of Raiston and Launa Lightmist. I was born in Qeynos while it was under the rule of Antonius Bayle III. My parents were both paladins of [Rodcet Nife] and protectors of the city. They saw to it that I learn the ways of the [Holy Knights].

You say, 'who is rodcet nife'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'Rodcet Nife is The Prime Healer. It was he who sent me to take my place amongst the [Realm of Heroes].

You say, 'what holy knights'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'My parents provided me with a vast amount of knowledge. I was taught the ways of the Holy Knights at the Temple of Thunder and the Temple of Life. After the death of my father, I was sent to [Freeport] to study the holy ways of the Knights of Truth.

You say, 'where is freeport'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'Freeport is a trade city to the northeast of Qeynos. A few years after going to Freeport, I received an urgent message from Qeynos. My mother had taken ill and I was needed in Qeynos immediately. When I returned home, it was too late. My mother had passed away due to a plague created by [heretics].

You say, 'what heretics'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'Many years before I was born, after the Erudite heretics completed the construction of Paineel, they began practicing with unique forms of diseases. These dangerous experiments were not confined within the walls of the dark city. They expanded their research to the animals in the plains of Karana.

You say, 'what realm of heroes'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'The Realm of Heroes is a place for those who have proven themselves worthy of being in the presence of the gods beyond Norrath. My [act of faithfulness] destined me to walk amongst the other Heroes in the Realm. Many of us have journeyed back to Norrath to seek out heroes that are deemed worthy of the same.

You say, 'what act of faithfulness'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'My act of faithfulness came at a time when a dreadful plague shadowed the Qeynos area. The plague spread so fast the priests could not cure the diseased quick enough. The City Council of Qeynos, with the approval of Antonius Bayle III, put into action a [plan] to end the suffering.

You say, 'what plan'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'A group of warriors were sent out into the fields to kill each animal that was infected with the disease in an effort to keep it from spreading any further. The few remaining [healthy priests] were sent out to maintain the warriors' health. The priests became ill and had to return. The warriors became infected themselves and struggled to perform their duties.

You say, 'what healthy priests'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'With the exception of the High Priests who were too old to make such a journey, I was one of the only healthy priests that remained. I traveled out into the fields where the warriors were and cured them as fast as I could. As I worked my way across the plains, I began to feel a bit dizzy and realized that I had been stricken with the plague, yet I [refused] to waste my energy on myself.

You say, 'why did you refuse'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'At that moment, I reached my hands up into the air and shouted, 'Rodcet Nife, Prime Healer of all! Give me the strength to go on. Too many have suffered. These brave warriors have
fallen. My mother has joined you. Please, allow me to go on so that I may assist the [remaining brave souls] before I, too, join you!'

You say, 'what happened to the remaining brave souls'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'I continued on toward the remaining warriors. Again, I cured them as quickly as I could. The tide of the battle slowly turned and the warriors began to defeat the remaining infected animals.
There were bodies of fallen heroes and slain infected creatures as far as the eye could see. I knew then that my [end] was near.

You say, 'what end'

Jaylia the Faithful says 'I stood silently with my arms to my sides and looked out across the plains. I raised my hands into the air once more and simply said, 'I am ready now.' I then fell to the ground and was raised to the Realm of Heroes, newly christened 'Jaylia the Faithful.'

Bidils the Quickhand (halfling rogue in Misty Thicket, loc pos338 neg1990) makes reference to her:

[Wed Sep 15 07:34:42 2004] Bidils the Quickhand looks your way apprehensively -- he appears to be quite formidable.
[Wed Sep 15 07:34:48 2004] You say, 'Hail, Bidils the Quickhand'
[Wed Sep 15 07:34:48 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Why, hello there, Jecour! And what brings ya to see little old me? Oh, let me guess! I am sure it is because ya wish t'buy a good spot of Jumjum and listen to my [tale]? Oh, quite lovely so! Why else would one well rounded Half Elf come to see the great Bidils the Quickhand other than to hear of this rogue's great adventures?'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:00 2004] You say, 'what tale'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:00 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Ahhh. . . I see the gods have found the time to be now for a good ear to lend to my words! So long as ya share the Jumjum, I can speak t'ya of the endless adventures and triumphs of Bidils the Quickhand! Now. . . where shall I begin? Yes! The [beginning], of course! Indeed, quite lovely so.'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:17 2004] You say, 'what beginning'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:17 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Yes, of course I shall begin at the beginning! No proper tale would begin anywhere other than at the beginning! You see, good Half Elf, I was once a humble rogue. . .er, merchant within this here fair city. Oh, how the Jumjum and gol. . .um, [merchandise] flowed in then! Quite lovely, indeed, it was. Well then, where was I?'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:33 2004] You say, 'what merchandise'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:34 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Ahhh yes! Those days were fair indeed. How I do miss them! Of course, that is not to say that Bidils the Quickhand does not appreciate the eyes and favor of [Bristlebane] upon him! In fact, it is quite the contrary! I do love a good prank! Yes, quite lovely so!'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:44 2004] You say, 'what prank'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:50 2004] You say, 'what Bristlebane'
[Wed Sep 15 07:35:50 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Bristlebane, indeed quite the trickster and with a sense of humor! I bet you could not have seen that Bidils the Quickhand would have caught the eye of such a dignified individual, now did ya? Yes, The King of Thieves. . . and merchants finds it amusing when one takes his [possessions]!'
[Wed Sep 15 07:36:05 2004] You say, 'what possessions'
[Wed Sep 15 07:36:06 2004] Bidils the Quickhand 's eyes grow wide with an eager, child-like anticipation. 'Oh yes! Upon one of my several adventures through this great, glorious land of Norrath, I did stumble upon a [lovely treasure], indeed! Great skill and cunning was used, skill that belonged only to Bidils the Quickhand, and has yet to be surpassed within this realm!'
[Wed Sep 15 07:36:20 2004] You say, 'what lovely treasure'
[Wed Sep 15 07:36:21 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'A lovely gem, far more beautiful than even the most delicate and furry feet of a halfling lass! It was larger than my face, and sparkled more than the most pure of Jumjum catching the rays out of Karana's blessed skies! Indeed, it was a divine treasure to behold. . . but little then did I know that such a treasure truly belonged to the King of Thieves. . . and merchants himself! But no, such truths still would not have [stopped] me!'
[Wed Sep 15 07:36:40 2004] You say, 'what stopped you'
[Wed Sep 15 07:36:41 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Ahh ha! I was not stopped, and the gem was mine! Right from beneath the nose of Bristlebane himself did I take it! That was when he noticed me. . . and that is when I was taken from the humble life of a merchant and placed within the glorious [Realm of Heroes]! Of course. . . Bristlebane took back the gem. What a shame. Indeed, quite so.'
[Wed Sep 15 07:37:00 2004] You say, 'what Realm of Heroes'
[Wed Sep 15 07:37:00 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'The Realm of Heroes, that is my new home. . . Well, it was. Ahhh, indeed, it is quite lovely! It is where all who catch the eyes of the gods in favor ascend if their deeds be true and worthy enough for note! Perhaps one day, Jecour, you shall rise as well!! Look at Bidils the Quickhand, once a sturdy merchant and now a [humble servant] and rewarder of deeds!'
[Wed Sep 15 07:37:37 2004] You say, 'what humble servant'
[Wed Sep 15 07:37:37 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Yes! Indeed, a humble servant I am! I complain not for my occupation. . . as I am humble. I collect [deeds] and make [recognition] of those who have caught the eyes of the gods. Why the gods do it not themselves, I am lost for answers. . . but, I do not complain. They are gods, you know. Quite busy! Indeed, lovely so!'
[Wed Sep 15 07:37:53 2004] You say, 'what deeds'
[Wed Sep 15 07:37:53 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Deeds! Yes, the gods are quite tricky and intelligent, you know! They have found a way to mark deeds in the form of a coin! A coin which one who has been fortunate enough as to accept would give to me. . . Or to one of the [other Heroes] who have recently come to this land.'
[Wed Sep 15 07:38:17 2004] You say, 'what other heroes'
[Wed Sep 15 07:38:18 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Oh yes! I am not the only one who has returned to Norrath in search of Heroes! There are many others, indeed! Although, as the gods, their colors vary. Some are [kind and gentle] while some are [vile and nasty] beings which ya should watch yer back for.'
[Wed Sep 15 07:38:30 2004] You say, 'what kind and gentle'
[Wed Sep 15 07:38:31 2004] Bidils the Quickhand sighs heavily, a twinkle in his eye and a warm smile upon his heavy cheeks. 'Yes. . . none so as Jaylia the Faithful, as she was so rightfully named. A lovely lass. Tender as a gentle morning mist. . . Yes. . . Indeed, quite lovely so. An enchanting creature. . . and as pure as Tunare's good grace itself. Maybe ya should visit her over in Qeynos an' hear of her adventures!'
[Wed Sep 15 07:38:53 2004] You say, 'what vile and nasty'
[Wed Sep 15 07:38:53 2004] Bidils the Quickhand glares and spits on the ground beside him. ' I know not why some of these. . . villains are called heroes. It is all part of the plan, I am sure. However, I shall give ya this warning of one of them, perhaps the most vile of all, and that is Kizrak the Tyrant, a brutal creature of the Warlord who has quite the taste for halflings. . . and I mean not in the sense of good grace and kindness!'
[Wed Sep 15 07:39:25 2004] You say, 'what recognition'
[Wed Sep 15 07:39:26 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Deeds! Yes, the gods are quite tricky and intelligent, you know! They have found a way to mark deeds in the form of a coin! A coin which one who has been fortunate enough as to accept would give to me. . . Or to one of the [other Heroes] who have recently come to this land.'
[Wed Sep 15 07:39:51 2004] You say, 'what other heroes'
[Wed Sep 15 07:39:52 2004] Bidils the Quickhand says 'Oh yes! I am not the only one who has returned to Norrath in search of Heroes! There are many others, indeed! Although, as the gods, their colors vary. Some are [kind and gentle] while some are [vile and nasty] beings which ya should watch yer back for.'

This "quest" was accually a GM event which started the plauge on the karana's....Also the realm of hero's is planned to be in the next expansion (planes of power) so those who participated in the event may have access to the plane, or it could be a one time event, Who knows.....BUT i like the thought of more events like this one....

personally the undead invasion in Q hills is getting OLD!!!

Maybe a gnoll invasion would be nice hehe

EC on Drinal
# Oct 02 2001 at 11:47 AM Rating: Default
Yea , on Drinal Server i witnessed with my lvl 10 bard a gm event with a "baby" griffen, it basicaly shouted in red (most likeley a Gm in a NPC's body) the bird was named "Little Feather" he responded to only his masters commands (high lvl female human) she told him to go find some "Pretty stones" gems basicaly - he went around really fast - i followed him with SELO and he stopped landed on the ground then went back to the owner - after a couple of seconds he droped the item and i picked it up - hehe out of 20-30 peeps (but BAH it was an opal no specail (lore or nodrop titles) just an opal) but i remember a halfling called (somthing) quickhands in Misty Said somthing about some gems (not specific though) so i ran over there and handed it to him and (nothing happend). i RP'ed best i could - no coin - no nothing - but if you are a bristle bane person u can get some more info from (somthing) quickhands in Misty he talks about some special coins from the "Makers" that he stole but bristle bane took back. he said bring them to him for a nice reward. Thanks

I did the quest with a few others. It took place over 4 zones, NK, SK, back to NK, EK, back to NK, back to SK, then summoned to Qeynos. The GM even killed the corrupt guards around so not to both us. We all received a coin to give to that NPC.

I, a 53 ranger on TZ, received a 5ac 3str 3sta 3agi 3dex 3wis 3int 3cha 35hp 35mana 3svc 3svf 3svp 3svm 3svd ring, all/all no drop ring

Another 53 ranger got a 5ac 4dex 4int 4wis necklace. Our Wizzy got a 7ac 10wis 10int 10svf belt. Our Necro got that aqua lung thing. Was fun. I suggest that people do this gm event. Well worth it even at lvl 53.

i personally was part of this quest on mith marr server, its a GM quest, a GM in the guise of a NPC came and told us to gather a party to to NK and serve as spectators anbd jury for a guy whom he thought had somthing to do with making the plauge. We ended up with only 3 people , the high lvls thought they were too good for the quest. We followed the GM(we think it was a cleric cause he could exp res)to NK then to the farmer. the GM talked with the farmer whom was also a gm, and eventually squeezed it out of him that he helped. we had to decide, based on his story, weather or not to kill him, exile him from the karanas forever, or put him in jail for the remainder of the plague. we eventually decided to have him killed, so the GM we went with kill the farmer. we were allowed to loot him, and i got a shovel (whoooooopie! shovels are so fun!). after that he rewarded us, me and the other lowbie got 150pp, and the high lvl one of us, a lvl 17 got a coin to give to jaylia the faithful. when she gave it to him she got a +5int, +5cha, +5 to all resist cape, she was a chanter so it was very nice for her. all in all it was an awsome quest, we did basically nothing but RP and sit around and we got lotsa money, or a nice cape in our chanter friends case.hope this helps yall with any curiousity you might have about this realm of heros quest. BTW i was on my new rogue, who was only lvl 7 at the time when i did the quest.
see yall, peace e-z!

Okei everyone.. she isnt part of any quest really. She was there to hand out the items for the start of this Epic GM Event. Whats happening in the Karana's is that Bertoxxulous cursed the lands of Karana. So.. a few things may happens:

1) Bertoxxulous and Karana might duel it out.
2) The Plane of Disease entrance might open in North Karana.
3) Both.. :)

Ah.. whatever happens.. I shall be right there. My Mage shall never lvl now.. ^^;;

For all you people that don't know these quests were a GM event...the ones with Azibel at least... Azibel is a GM controled NPC, she doesn't just spawn. I know this because i participated in this quest at lvl 9 and recieved a Thexian Loop 5 AC effect haste, which i still use at 49 today. I was a ranger and another ranger got this same item...so it is most likely class related. And the wierdest part is i follow karana, yet i kinda plagued it
Bloodsabres
# Jul 11 2001 at 2:40 AM Rating: Decent
Yeah, all the realm of heroes NPCs are for GM quests.. remember the thing in various newspapers about how the bloodsabres caused the plague in Qeynos? Well.. there are brandnew Darkelf camps in WC that are indifferent to all as far as I can tell, and they say something about the bloodsabres when hailed... Maybe there is about to be a plague in Freeport =) A quote (no exact) from The Freeport Observer Vol. 3 - "I for one feel safer under the watchful eye of the militia, and I sleep better knowing that nothing like this could ever happen in freeport" HUMMMMMMMM!!! Interesting - or maybe I am just crazy =)

Hello, sit back and here my tell, it is sad as well as couragous. One day i was walking though the the Hils Qeynos and i came apon what looked like a brave and noble paladin name Azibell, she was asking any one who would help to get her some items for a very important quest that she must complete that day. I being a ranger of gallant stock and all ways welling to help those in need stopped to see if i could be of assistance. she told me what she needed and i ran to where a knew i could find one of the items, a putrid rib bone at the ruins. As soon as i looted the bone she sent out a shout for all who were helping her to come to the entance of BB. upon arrival there she asked what was now three of us to give her the items., And we did, then she smiled evilly at us and said "Oh yes this wll do nicely, i must mix them together to make the Jar of Putrescence", or something like that. All i know is that at this point i was starting to get worried. She mixed the items and the sky darkened and the birds fell silent and a storm begain. And then she stated that we had done well and the her lord bertoxxulous would be pleased, and asked one of us to take the jar to NK and give it to a person name Meldreth the Malignant, we only had two hours to do this or he would be gone, So i gave each of us spirt of the wolf and she said "STOP you can not cast any more magic on your selfs or it would destory the jars contents. Know go, hurry Please". As we ran i knew the name sounded familiar and i was sure i had fought against such a person some where near Ak'Anon, but i did not realize what we where about to do.
We arrived in NK at the wizard spires after non eventful run from Qenyos Hills and there standing in black holding a staff with a skull on it was Meldreth. The one holding the jar hailed him and he asked if we had some thing for him and she said "yes". Sorry i do not remeber her name or that of the monk we were with, the horror of what we have done has driven it out of my mind. She gave Meldreth the jar and he said "Oh this is nice, you all have done very well, bertoxxulous will be very pleased with the plague this will creat upon this land". At that point i still was not sure what had just happend. Then he cast a spell and the area grew very quite. It was then that my heart sank for i knew i had just helped do some thing very evil to the land. I looked around trying to find some escape from what i had just done, but there was none. Then Meldreth stated that we are to be rewarded and gave each of us a Coin of Gallantry and told us to take it to the the Faithful one in Qeynos. and then he cast a spell and exploded right in front of us and was gone.
We took the coins to the one in Qenyos and she did reward us very well, but at what cost. I received a Azibell scarf of the night. AC 8 30hp save +10 vs all saves. and was told that i was now a member of the Realm Of Heros!
The next day as i went in to the karana's they where plagued with the a three fold curse. I was very sad for i knew i had helped to make this happend.
However i do believe that there is a way to cure the plague and am attempting to do that now. To right the wrong i have done! if you have any information on this please post it here and maybe just maybe we mortals can undo what the gods have done to are beloved Karanas!

Now that there is a plague in both North and West Karana, perhaps she has more quests to fullfill or maybe she will be instrumental in solving the plague? I will have to check this out myself.

Can anyone post info on this quest? Such as is there a level limit, or if the quest isn't finishable anymore. I've ran around Q Hills with a track for a good hour or two and haven't seen Azibell on track. Also, can someone post zones and spawns that these mobs are in.
I've have completed the quest with others!

It started in the Qeynos hills, a lady (Azibell) asked for diseased pelts and the like, people brought her some and she paid handsomly (I heard 20pps!!). When she had enough, she put them in a jar to send to a gnome, Meldrath the Malignent in North Karana. She gave the jar and I accompanied the bearer, he gave it and we received coins in returns that we had to give to Jaylia the Faithful. The funny thing is the quest is EVIL, once Meldrath got the jar, he was cackling at how the world would suffer. Anyhow, the party brought the coins to Jaylia and for it we got rewarded handsomely (Except for the one guy who did not get a coin, he got 448 pps instead, a very lovely reward as well). I received the Girdle of Mind and Body, AC 7, 10 str, 10 wis, 10 int and 10 fire resistance. The jar bearer received a level and also an earring of 2 ac, 10 int and 20 mana. One got a pair of shouldpads with good ac and 10 str I think while the other got a mask and one got a ice giant bone or something like that to use as a club (unless he got a mask as well, I am unsure). With that, we were all named to the Realm of Heroes!

Feneant
Level 5 Shaman
Zeb****** server

(Yes, we were level 5,5,6,6,7 and 10 I think so the rewards were kingly for us!)

Ok, this is actually part of a GM quest. The one in Qenos is the only one finished so far, with a 10 ac 10 str 10 int 10 wis 10 sv fire belt reward. It started in South Karana, so expect the other Realm of Heroe quests to start nearby the city as well.

I participated in this GM quest event which started in Qeynos Hills. The task given to our party was to take a potion to Meldrath in NK. We were to meet him at the Wizard spires. After running to the spires Meldrath appeared and our party handed him the potion. He rewarded each of us with a coin. I received the Coin of Gallantry. Each character received a different coin which depended on class. We were then instructed to take the coins to Jaylia the Faithful in Qeynos. After arriving in Qeynos we quickly found Jaylia and turned in the coins. Each of us received a different item and experience. I received Ognit's Aqua Collar. 8 AC effect enduring breath. When equipped it allows breathing underwater.

[Fri Mar 30 15:19:55 2001] Jaylia the Faithful shouts 'Hear ye, hear ye! Recognize now that you hold a hero of great worth and valor among you! Ikem has been proven in the eyes of the gods! As within this mortal realm, the name shall be known within the eternal halls of the Realm of Heroes!

Does anybody know the level range of the people that completed the quest? 20s? 30s? 40s? Just trying to get some more details after reading the accounts on Everlore.

Ok, I've been thinking this over and trying to come up with something to start with and this quest seems to be the one with the most solid begining. Perhaps a high level Cleric of good ole Rodcet Nife should go throught the various quests offered by the temple again and specifically how about the healing potion for the guy in the Karanas, maybe now it has a extra stage or some other comment. We have all seen how you need to be certain level sometimes to get certain responses this could be an example of things like this.

Perhaps these coins will be given out by GM's by truly powerful characters who actually roleplay. It seems to me that the people who don't care only about phat lewt (god I hate dudespeak) and powergaming deserve a reward themselves. This would be a great way to reward roleplayers.
