You say, 'Hail, Korah Kai the Gardener' Korah Kai the Gardener says, 'Ah, welcome back. With Binkl a bit less on-edge with your presence, we have a bit of a breather, eh?' She chuckles softly, voice coming with a purred lilt. 'I didn't get an opportunity to introduce myself before. I'm Korah Kai, a shaman of the Dar Khura.' She bows with a flourish. 'As this is one of the safer spots in the area, I negotiated my own presence here with Binkl. His is an unpaid [post], but this patch of land here will be more than sufficient.' You say, 'What post is that?' Korah Kai the Gardener says, 'Oh, the role as his personal gardener. An hour or so a day of trimming the grass, and I get this nice vantage point to view the [happenings] in this area.' You say, 'What happenings are you concerned about?' Korah Kai the Gardener says, 'There's been a political shift in the Umbral Plains. The Akheva, and their shade allies, have cleared out a lot of the ancient Elysian housing, resulting in not only Binkl Dirkwafer's relocation, but the relocation of many of the local denizens of the plains. Speaking of... are you up for some [scouting]?' You say, 'What scouting do you need?' Korah Kai the Gardener says, 'I'm looking for an up-to-date status on all of these groups, and it's been a bit since I've been able to step away from the house here. If you're able, check deep into the caves, as well as the gantru camp. Even if Binkl's not the type to pay, I'll do what I can to reimburse you for your troubles. Does that sound [good]?' You say, 'That sounds good to me.' Korah Kai the Gardener says, 'Thank you so very much, my adventurer friend. Please let me know what you find.' You have been assigned the task 'The More Things Change'. This step updates at northernmost room in Netherbian cave - mixed undead and living, so a bard is helpful. Pick up ground spawn Everfrozen Shard on mound in s/w part of Northernmost room. (/loc +2815, +155). Respawn timer is 100 seconds This step updates in easternmost room in Tegi cave. Collect ground spawn Firefall Portal Fragment - lump of mud in southernmost room in pit at center. (/loc -825, -2025) Kill 3 Shak Dathors. At the southern part of zone, update is at /loc -1075, -100. Kill 4 earth elementals. the western one can be single pulled Speak with Korah Kai about what you have found. Korah Kai the Gardener says, 'So, most of the northern-most caverns have melted and the two caves are now conjoined? Very interesting...' Korah Kai the Gardener says, 'If this is all that's left of the portal, that would mean that the Fyr Jen are now blocked off from Firefall. Was it done willingly?' You say, 'Hail, Korah Kai the Gardener' Korah Kai the Gardener says, 'You were right to question whether the Shak Dathor are involved. Although the few you took down didn't shed any further light on the situation, there's signs that the shadow tegi were involved. Whether the Fyr Jen and Syl Ren are aware, I really don't know. Give me a bit longer to look over these samples, and we'll see what next steps to take.' Things have changed in the Umbral Plains, and the items you brought will help figure out just how much they have.
