i could not get the quest until I did the other two frost fell quests Case of the Misplaced Dollies and Saga of the Empty Purse

if you're looting double for the collectible, do the hand in first, you can't get a second dose of magic dust without a fresh task.

To get more dust simply say to him "more dust" - no need to run it a second time. You can get unlimited dust this way.
he doesn't give you a second dust while you still have the first one. You have to finish the task and get it again in order to get another dust.
The quest is repeatable. You have to repeat the quest to get the familiar and the final collectible, as the Growling Dolly is not returned at the end of the quest.

Just completed it, no bugs, no problems.
Regarding the "a rebel clockwork", there is more than one mob that spawns. I saw about 4 up at once. Look around the entire area near minotaur cave entrance.

Rebel clockwork eye lens also drop off a runaway clockwork.

This isn't obvious, but you can get another magic dust without having to start the quest again. After you've completed An Adorable Yeti Doll task once, and you do not have the task running, you can hail Ganjleg Gigglegibber in PoK again and ask for 'more dust' so that you can make another Growling Dolly using your Frostfell Biting Doll Kit.
Ganjleg Gigglegibber says, '[Happy Frostfell] _____. I am happy to report that the dolls have been delivered to their proud [new owners].'
You say, 'new owners'
Ganjleg Gigglegibber says, 'What you want [more dust]?'
You say, 'more dust'

Note.. If u want to do the Doll Collections part. .you need to do this quest twice. .because when u right click the doll to add to the collections, it goes poof and hard to hand it in then.

I collected the five items but when I try to [Combine] them in the container provided I get an error message.
The bug has been submitted in bug reports on the official forums and is supposed to be fixed in the 12/7/21 patch
They didn't announce it, but the recipe works now as of 12/7/21 patch.
