Prerequisite Quests: None.

You can obtain this quest from Siremth in Western Wastes. He is found in the northwest corner of the zone at /loc 2613, 2588, -61.

You say, 'Hail, Siremth'

Siremth notices you approach and addresses you with a respect you are not used to seeing from dragons, 'Hail mortal, I see you are just as concerned with what has happened to Velious as myself. You returning to this hallowed ground means that things have gotten quite [dire] for the rest of Norrath, I take it?'

You say, 'dire'

Siremth gives a concerned look as she addresses you, 'I have felt whispers and voices, like trying to see a campfire through a fog. I know that there is a light, but I can't see where it is, or what is burning. This has been causing me a lot of distress lately. My kin have sealed themselves away in the temple and left some of us out here to protect the wastes, but...' Siremth looks off sadly for a moment, 'It appears the other [protectors] didn't make it.'

You say, 'protectors'

Siremth says, 'Yes mortal, you may have noticed that outside the Temple to the Mother of all Wurms, the abominations have set up guard outside. These abhorrent manifestations rose from the ground as the ice crept into this sacred space, slaying my kin. I've looked with horror as one of my brethren rose from the ground, days after being killed, just to fight for the monsters, further hindering passage into the great [Temple]. '

You say, 'Temple'

You have been assigned the task 'Neither Blame nor Praise Yourself'.

Siremth says, 'The outside of the temple is now being guarded by these corrupted beasts. Destroy some of them so we can further understand what is going on inside.'

Task Window Text: Siremth is trying to get to the bottom of why she has been locked out of conversations between the rest of the Claws of Veeshan. The restless ice has reached the Temple of Veeshan and she has been cut off from the rest of her kind who are locked up inside.

  1. Remove the dracoliches from the Temple of Veeshan 0/3 The Western Wastes

Task Window Text: Slay Dracoliches near the entrance of the Temple of Veeshan.

Kill 3 dracoliches as a "Restless Necklace" will appear on your cursor.

A f frosted dracholiche slumps to the ground with a deafening shriek. A necklace was found wrapped around it's neck. Perhaps this should be brought to Siremth for further investigation.
You have been given: Restless Necklace

  2. Bring Siremth the Necklace 0/1 The Western Wastes

You found a necklace on the necks of one of the Dracholiches, return this to Siremth.

  3. You have been given: Restless Necklace
Your task ' Neither Blame nor Praise Yourself' has been updated.

Siremth says, 'This is as I feared, I only faintly remember this necklace. Though I doubt that this little thing is what is causing all the torment we are seeing in the Western Wastes. Perhaps Kllythe-Tir will know more information about this. Please seek an audience with them and see if they can impart their wisdom to us.'

  4. Present the Necklace to Kllythe-Tir 0/1 The Western Wastes

You have been given: Restless Necklace
Your task ' Neither Blame nor Praise Yourself' has been updated.
Kllythe-Tir puffs himself up a bit, making tiny grunts as he flexes his wings in intimidation. 'You again!?' he bellows, 'You have a lot of nerve visiting this sacred space after what you did the last time you were here. Don't act like I don't know who you are!' Kllythe-Tir notices what you handed him. 'This was Ygordin's necklace. They were very attached to it and would wear it wherever they went. I'm not sure why you, of all people, have it.' Kllythe-Tir lowers his voice to grumble under his breath, 'Probably killed them yourself.', He raises his voice back to a normal volume, 'Now go away! Return that thing from whence it came before I stop feeling generous today and slay you where you stand.'

  5. Bring the Necklace to Siremth 0/1 The Western Wastes

Your task 'Neither Blame nor Praise Yourself' has been updated.

Siremth looks like she knows exactly what you had to go through. I'm sorry, I was hoping that enough time had passed to where his grudge against adventurers would have lessened. Once of his brood mates were killed during a raid by other adventurers, so he doesn't hold your kind in high regard. Since you left, I took the time to do more investigating about this ice. It appears that some coldain, who were also affected by this curse, have made the Wastes their home. perhaps further study of them will help us understand further about what has happened and how it is affecting my kin.'

  6. Slay the restless coldain to the southeast 0/5 The Western Wastes

Slay the forgotten in the southeast part of the zone.

Your task 'Neither Blame nor Praise Yourself' has been updated.

  7. Return to Sirenth with your findings 0/1 The Western Wastes

    You say, 'Hail, Siremth'

You have been given: Restless Necklace
Your task 'Neither Blame nor Praise Yourself' has been updated.

Siremth looks very intrigued by what has happened. 'Fascinating, so the way the ice affects the coldain is the same as my kin, so clearly it is indiscriminate. It is as if the Mother of Wurms herself is somehow pulling the strings and orchestrating this madness herself, but that is just speculation.' Siremth takes a moment to contemplate her next words, while staring at the necklace. 'We have all that we can get out of this, I'm not sure we will be able to get to the bottom of what is happening in the temple without entering. Please, help Kllythe-Tir's troubled soul. Return Ygordin's necklace to him. This will not calm him at the moment, but it may help his soul to heal long after you are gone from the mortal realm.

  8. Gift the Necklace to Kllythe-Tir 0/1 The Western Wastes

Bring the necklace to Kllythe-Tir, perhaps this may thaw their cold heart.

Your task 'Neither Blame nor Praise Yourself' has been updated.

Kllythe-Tir lets out a loud cry, his voice is full of rage, but is also full of sadness, 'You return to mock me mortal?! Presenting your trophies to your enemies in order to prove your superiority to them? You are a monster, don't you ever forget that! I will keep this token for as long as I live, but not for one second think this means you are welcome here. Begone!'

  9. See if there is anything else Sirenmh needs 0/1 The Western Wastes

    You say, 'Hail, Siremth.'

Your task 'Neither Blame nor Praise Yourself' has been updated.

This information is dire indead. Perhaps Siremth will be able to sort it out. Perhaps a visit back to Temple of Veeshan might be the way to get answers.

    You receive experience!
You have gained 25 ability point(s)!
    You receive 425 platinum.

Siremth says, 'This ordeal has taken a lot out of us, but I'm glad you were able to help us get a closer look at what is happening here in the Wastes, and specifically to my kin. Thank you mortal, please leave this defiled place in high spirits, you've made a huge difference today without fully understanding what. I look forward to meeting you again in the future.'

You receive 425 platinum.
You have gained 24 ability points.

Someone said they were able to get one of these CoV partisan quests at 113. You weren't able to get this one until 115?
