NOTE: A patch on April 22, 2015, added a work-around to obtain bottleneck items from Phinigel Autropos (Kedge Keep), Gorenaire (Dreadlands), and Talendor (Skyfire Mountains), including the Torn Books required in this quest.

    - In Kedge Keep, a harbinger of the seas can help adventurers get their epic 1.0 pieces that would normally drop from Phinigel Autropos.
    - In Dreadlands, a harbinger of frost can help adventurers get their epic 1.0 pieces that would normally drop from Gorenaire.
    - In Skyfire Mountains, a harbinger of flame can help adventurers get their epic 1.0 pieces that would normally drop from Talendor.

Find someone to port you to the Plane of Sky. Remember that all buffs are wiped when zoning in. Hand a friend at least 500 pp 1 cp. Have your friend buy a Veeshan's Key from the Keymaster on the first island. Your friend must then head to the northern teleportation dish on that island, hold the key on his cursor, and click the dish to enter the quest room. Have your friend chat with Dason Goldblade:

    You say, 'Hail, Dason Goldblade'

Dason Goldblade says 'Greetings, ______. Are you pure of heart and soul?'

You say, 'I am pure of heart and soul.'

Dason Goldblade says 'Then choose. Do you wish your purity to be tested by Gregori or Dirkog?'

You say, 'I wish to be tested by Dirkog.'

Dason Goldblade says 'Dirkog is a gruff one, but his faith is what all paladins should strive to equal. Read this book and return it to me. After you have done so, I shall summon Dirkog to test you.'

You receive a book called Walk with Evil, which reads:
    The Fall From Grace

I be tellin' ye that I know the way me mate fell from the grace of his god there. He be fightin' and bashin' out in front of Butcher. The gobbies were movin' in makin' their presence known, and the King 'imself was there fightin. We got 'em back, pushin' and pushin' till they ain't fightin' any more but he went on a fightin'.

They were screamin' and hollerin', beggin' fer their measly little lives and he warn't listenin'. Ye see, he was caught up in the ol' battle rage and was a fightin' like there was no tomorrow. The gods don't be lookin' kindly on this and he be a warrior now, plain and simple.

I guess he likes it that way, but he be whinin' all the time how he doesn't hear Brell singin' in his ear no more. Aye, 'twas a sad day, one that I be takin' to me grave.

When you're done, have your friend hand it back to Dason. Dason despawns and Dirkog Steelhand spawns.

    Dason Goldblade says 'Farewell.'

Dirkog Steelhand says 'May faith guide you always.'

    Dason Goldblade says 'Farewell.'

    You say, 'Hail, Dirkog Steelhand'

Dirkog Steelhand says 'Leave me be, ye orc kissin' son o' Innoruuk!'

You say, 'I am not a son of Innoruuk.'

Dirkog Steelhand says 'Eh? Ye say that ye ain't one o' the cursed dark elf dogs? Well then, laddie, are ye ready to get started or are ye here fer somethin' else??'

You say, 'I am here for the holy swords.'

What is the in-game text or lore that leads you to say this?

Dirkog Steelhand says 'Eh, lad? What was that? Ye wish to hear o' holy swords? Well, lad, I ain't the one ye be needin' t' talk to!'

You say, 'Who do I need to talk to?'

Dirkog Steelhand says 'A follower o' the water god he be, an' one o' the most powerful holy knights e'er to walk Norrath. His name be Inte Akera, an' he kin tell ye what ye be wantin' t' know.'

You say, 'Where is Inte Akera?'

Before you continue you will need to have better than apprehensive faction to Deepwater Knights in order for Inte Akera to not just hand items back to you.

Dirkog Steelhand says 'Ah, I see ye wish t' speak with him! Why didn't ye say that earlier, laddie? It would've saved ye some trouble! If ye wish to speak with him, ye must donate some spare change t' me ale.. er, t' me holy crusade fund! Well, lad, what d' ye say?'

You say, 'How much should I donate?'

Dirkog Steelhand says 'Eh? Oh, 500 platinum will be plenty, laddie!'

Have your friend hand him 500 pp.

Dirkog Steelhand says 'Thank ye, laddie! He's awaitin ya up top!'

Inte Akera immediately spawns in the windmill on the fourth island (/loc?), commonly known as the Horse Island, Griffon Island, or Pegasus Island. He will stay up for about five minutes before despawning if no one has hailed him, so it's best for you to get yourself there while your friend does the hand-ins and dialogues.

    You say, 'Hail, Inte Akera'

Inte Akera says 'Greetings, ______. I am Inte Akera. I have retired to the Plane of Sky after a long life toiling on Norrath's soil. Have you retreated here as well, or are you merely visiting?'

    You say, 'What toil?'

Inte Akera says 'Long ago, before I came to this plane, I fought in the name of Prexus against all the evils that plagued Norrath. In that time, I have done everything one can do. I have fought for the causes of good. I gained the esteem of kings and lords. The sword I hold is but one example of the treasures I have sought and won. I have accomplished all that I can, have all that I desire. My toil is done and now I sit among the clouds in peace, occasionally blessing those who seek it and are found worthy.'

You say, 'I seek your blessing.'

Inte Akera says 'Many come seeking my blessings. No matter how minor the blessing they ask, all must prove that they embody the qualities of a paladin before I bless them.'

You say, 'How can I prove myself?'

Inte Akera says 'I believe the two most important qualities of a paladin are nobility and sacrifice. Hand me an item of yours that proves you understand what nobility and sacrifice are. Be warned however, if I do not think as you do, I will simply accept the item as a gift, and give you no blessing.'

    Need dialogues.

Inte Akera says 'No.. I was unable to kill my most hated foe, Miragul. The head of this wretched, foul necromancer is forever out of the reach of justice. It would be worth restoring him to his former state for the chance to take his head as a trophy.'

You say, 'Why were you unable to kill Miragul?'

Inte Akera says 'You think you can succeed where I cannot? Perhaps you can noble one.. Bring me the head of Miragul, his robe and hand me back the two blessings I gave you, and in return I shall bequeath to you this sword I carry. Good luck my friend.'

Need dialogues or game lore used to determine what quest items are required. We'll skip ahead here for convenience.

WORK IN PROGRESS, TO BE CONTINUED...

    Old text is below.

Based upon the log with Inte Akera, these are the items you need for the fiery avenger. Given the difficulty of traveling within the Plane of Sky, it is recommended that you get the head and robe of Miragul, Ghoulbane and Soulfire beforehand.

Note: To get the blessings, you need to talk to Inte Akera. He is located on the Fourth Island in the Plane of Sky. You first need to talk to Dason Goldblade. Tell him, "I wish to be tested by Dirkog." Dason will hand you a book; read it if you wish. Return the book to him and he will despawn; Dirkog Steelhand will spawn in his place. Give Dirkog 500pp to cause Inte Akera to spawn. Inte Akera can despawn quickly, so you should be at the island and have a friend hand Dirkog the money so that you don't lose the spawn.

    1) The Blessing of Nobility: You need a high faction with Akera, who is a Deepwater Knight. Give him Soulfire to receive Inte's First Blessing, the blessing of nobility. The details on getting Soulfire are here.

    2) The Blessing of Sacrifice: You need a high faction with Akera, who is a Deepwater. Give him Ghoulbane to receive Inte's Second Blessing, the blessing of sacrifice.

    3) and 4) The Head and Robe of Miragul: First, you want a Burnt Book and a Frost Book. You can get the Burnt Book off Lord Nagafen, Severilous, Talendor, or Melalafen. The Frost Book can be looted off Lady Vox, Gorenaire, or Faydedar.

Take the Frost Book and Burnt Book to Rysva To`Biath, the bartender in the Blind Fish Tavern in Neriak Commons at +10, -850, along with 1000pp. She will combine them into the Book of Scale.

Alternatively, you can take the 1000pp, Frost Book, and Burnt Book to Rineval Talyas, a Human Enchantress near a small supply camp outside the walls of Northern Qeynos and get the same result.

    You say, 'Hail, Rineval Talyas'

    Rineval Talyas says 'Hello, _____.'

You say, 'I seek a scribe.'

Rineval Talyas looks at you strangely. 'Who told you this?'

    You say, 'Karn told me.'

(Karn who? Dialogues and full name needed.)

Rineval Talyas says 'I see. If a scribe is what you seek, then bring me the torn books of fire and ice. A donation of 1000 platinum is needed as well. The donation will be offered as a blessing to the gods.''

Find Oracle of K`Arnon in the Ocean of Tears at -28.99, -6737.39, -197.58 post-revamp.

You say, 'Hail, Oracle of K`Arnon'

Oracle of K`Arnon says 'Greetings, ______, I am the Oracle of K'Arnon. Do you quest for [knowledge] yourself, or do you offer that which I [seek]?

    You say, 'What knowledge?'

Oracle of K`Arnon says 'I have lived long and have insight into many matters, yet I despise charity. To learn from me, you must first bring me that which I [seek].

You say, 'What do you seek?'

Oracle of K`Arnon says 'I seek knowledge, which is superior to all things. And no knowledge is greater than that which is contained within the [Tome of Ages].

You say, 'What is the Tome of Ages?'

Oracle of K`Arnon says 'The Tome of Ages has been compiled over the millennia by the Scribes of [Dal]. It was divided into seven distinct books by the scribes to keep the knowledge from one such as me. That said, with aid, I shall unite these books and the Tome of Ages shall be mine.

You say, 'Who are the Dal?'

Oracle of K`Arnon says 'They were elves once, but now are Teir'Dal, and as evil as they are wise. Many tomes have they written, but none greater than the Tome of Ages.

You say, 'What are the books?'

Oracle of K`Arnon says 'The seven Books that make up the Tome of Ages are those of Enlightenment, Scale, Turmoil, Monuments, Elders, Blood, and the Lost Book. Each of these great books is an important chapter in the history of Norrath. If ever you find one of these books, bring it to me.

You say, 'What about the Book of Scale?'

Oracle of K`Arnon says 'Ah, the Book of Scale.. It would be wondrous indeed if you could recover the Book of Scale for me. If you do manage to procure the Book of Scale, I will gladly part with an artifact of my own that may be of interest to you.'

Hand in the Book of Scale.

Oracle of K`Arnon says 'Unbelievable! The legendary Book of Scale is mine! Please, take this as a small token of my thanks. I warn you however, if you ever manage to join the corporeal body to the evil that resides within, you will rue the day.'

He will give you back an artifact called Miragul's Philactery (dialogues needed). You must then head to the Everfrost caves, which you get to by going through a hole in the ice at the river (enduring breath is very useful for this trip). Get an enchanter to charm the Lich and then hand him the Phylactery (charming may not be required - lich will be KoS but you can still do the hand-in). This will spawn the true Miragul, a 53+ necromancer who is as hard to kill as a dragon, so make sure you have lots of friends with you. When you kill him, he drops the robe and his head.

Turn in these four items for the Fiery Avenger.*

*at this point we'll let Gbaji's summation of this quest roll:

Ultimately, you need four items to start: The burnt book, the frost book, ghoulbane, and soulfire. Assuming you have them all, the rest is just turn in's (more or less). But each is transformed in the following ways:

    1. Take the burnt and frost books plus 1000 pp to Rineval Talyas and receive the Book of Scale.

    2. Turn the Book of Scale in to the Oracle in Ocean of Tears to get Miragul's Phylactery.

    3. Turn the Phylactery in to Miragul's Lich to spawn the real Miragul. Kill him and get his head and robe.

So at this point, you've taken two items and turned them into two other items.

    4. Go to the PoSky and spawn Inte Akera (have some one else spawn him while you wait in the windmill on pegasus island).

    5. Hand him SoulFire (and only SoulFire). Receive Inte's First Blessing.

    6. Hand him Ghoulbane (and only Ghoulbane). Receive Inte's Second Blessing.

So at this point, you've turned those two items into yet two other items.

    7. You should now have 4 items again: 2 blessings from Inte Akera, Miragul's Head and Miragul's Robe. Hand him those four items (all at once) and receive your Fiery Avenger.

Need all dialogs, faction hits if any, /loc of quest mobs, missing quest items, any other relevant quest information.

    Book of Scale
    # Nov 28 2002 at 5:34 AM Rating: Excellent
I just got the torn book of frost the other night, dropped off Gorenaire in Dreadlands, she dropped 2 of these books. I have the torn burnt book, which if I remember correctly dropped off of a dragon in Emerald jungle. Now that I have the 2 pieces I am moving onto the next part, having them combined.

In North Qeynos, if you exit the city gate and move to the right, there is a lady in a blue robe, her LOC is pos 250, neg 300, her name is Rineval Talyas. Hail her and say " what scribe ", she says " who told you this ", say " Inte Akera told me this ", she will tell you that she will scribe for and to bring the torn books of fire and ice, and 1000pp donation for the blessing.

I have not been to the Plane of Air yet, and therefore never spoke with Inte Akera, but I still got the quest text I was looking for from Rineval Talyas.

I am indifferent to her, and don't have the 1000pp yet, but I assume that indiff is all you would need to get the book of scale, since she did give the text with directions.

Going to kill some HG to get the money and try this tomorrow, hopefully I will have a book of scale. I will post with my results.

The book of scale can be found on sale in the bazaar if your guild like mine is perhaps not as large as many other ones are. I bought it this week for 25k.

Hope that helps some people dreading doing naggy and vox raids.

    A few dragon questions...
    # Oct 04 2002 at 6:15 PM Rating: Decent
I've finished up the Fiery Defender portion of my epic, but still need to complete essentially all of the Fiery Avenger portion, which at lvl 55, isn't gonna be easy.

I've heard that the "Torn, Burnt Book", besides dropping off of Nagafen, can also drop off of Severilous, Faydedar, and Talendor.

I've heard that the "Frost Covered Book", besides dropping off of Lady Vox, can also drop off of Faydedar and Talendor.

My guild isn't huge, but we have managed to take down Talendor on numerous occasions for the Druid epic. I've yet to hear of the Frost Covered, or Torn, Burnt Books dropping off of Faydedar on any of our raids.

We've also assisted in taking down Gore a time or two, but again, no Frost Covered Book.

I'm assuming the book halves aren't regular drops off of any of the dragons with the exception of Naggy and Vox?

Anyone have any insight they can share?

Gorenaire shares the same loot table as Vox, so she also drops the pally books. We killed her on Mith Marr on Saturday and she dropped 2.
    RE: A few dragon questions...
    # Oct 05 2002 at 3:15 AM Rating: Decent
i can answer the Faydedar question, the Faydedar for the druid epic ISNT the real dragon that drops the books, its the spawned one who only drops the epic piece. The real dragon only survives for a couple of hours (around 2-3 i heard) before being killed by the Iksar Monk Trainer (which is a pretty nice fight to watch :) ) or despawning. also, the books arnt a regular drop off of naggy and vox, its just sometimes they are there, sometimes they arnt.

For the Soulfire turn in you NEED to be Ally with the Priests of Life which are on same faction as brother hale. The faction necessary for FA is Warmly with DW Knights .... Guildie just completed it with Warmly faction.... I am about to do the same :)

I got my faction up to Ally with the DW Knights. When VI moved the cap from warmly to ally, I saw another pally lose all his stuff on the Soulfire turn-in because of his faction being too low at warmly. I would assume the same is true for the FA turn-in. BTW, I finished the FD last night. I would also like to make 1 more point as another poster mentioned, Steelhead will probably not be up. Whoever goes to the quest room with the 500pp needs to talk to Goldblade to get Steelhead to spawn. It freaked me out not to see Steelhead there but I finally figured it out. Would have been good to know in advance. Good luck to all that are questing for FA and FD, FA is way harder, it's all downhill after that.

Can't find it anywhere...How much faction do you need with Inte Akera? I just started doing the faction cycle, went from KoS (yes, KoS, i killed that guy in East Freeport by the docks too many times =-) to Indiff after all my kills. What do i need to get up to? Warmly? Kindly? Amiable? I doubt ally, that'd be insanely long?

This walk-through has to get updated. It hasn't been only the bartender in neriak since kunark came out I don't think. Or Velious, namely, it's been a while.

Some prominent points that have been missed: Steelhand is not normally up, nothing on the pegasus island is aggro to you or inte akera, the pegasus island is the 4th island, and inte doesn't despawn after turn ins. He was up for probably 5 minutes after a turn ins.

Now, beginning island can be done in different orders, so saying island 4, does not necessarily mean pegasus island.

Steelhand is spawned, look at the Girdle of Faith quest.

A note on jumping. If you land on gorg island and are a pally without DA you will take 10K of damage, trust me. If you miss you may end up in FP, or on the chain. I did see someone do this, and they were out of range of the people above, so we couldn't do the express summonning.

Lol, too much time invested to switch now. Also paladins LOH, used strategically against upper lvl mobs (such as in ToV can save the much more useful clerics.) Granted a cleric can Cheal, but I draw less aggro, and me getting killed and saving a cleric makes it worthwhile. Secondly, if you've ever been on a Vox raid you'll understand that a chealing mob is possible the most annoying. They just don't want to die. The more pallies, the less completed heals, the shorter the fight. Also, instant heals, spell interruption, low aggro and good ac makes us one of the longest lived raid classes.)

One of my friends has the burnt book and is gonna MQ it for me, and being above 52 and not being in a high lvl guild, it's gonna be tough for me to take down gore to get the other book, but I occasionally see the MQ for the books being sold. So my question is, can I buy the MQ for the frost book and have that guy turn it in, while my friend turns in the burnt book, and I hand in the 1000pp?

My 56 bard friend and their group dropped Melalafen in Western Wastes this weekend. I logged on just after they killed him and lo and behold he dropped a torn, burnt book. I was able to get there and loot it barely in time.

I have not read anywhere that he drops this, so I thought it might be welcome information for those of us who have not yet gotten their epic.

I've read stuff that says this-that-or-the-other is MQable - how do you actually MQ with an item? For example, once you give the Book of Scale to the Oracle and you get your Miragul's Philactery, there's no way for anybody else to take that exact same Book of Scale and give it to the Oracle in order to get a second Miragul's Philactery, is there?

    Thanks!

Multiquest is where 2 or more items are required to be handed in to recieve item.

One person hands in one item and then the second person(the one designated to recieve the quested item) hands in last item and recieves quest item

To get faction with the Deepwater Knights for the FA quest, I've found I could kill Elian Brook at the Toxx docks, run to Paineel and kill Noclin Saah near the noob area, and then run back to the Toxx dock to kill Elian just as he's spawing, and back to Noclin as he's spawing and so on... A boring cycle, but it works.

In addition, above the noob area guards in Paineel you find Azzar Habbib, a 25 Necro, and an easy kill also contributing for DW faction. There was another necro in this upstairs area, but con'd black to me at 55.

Elian and Noclin are on 6 min spawn time, whereas Azzar timed out for me at just about an hour.

At lvl 55, and well equipped, I could not solo a noob area guard, even after I disarmed him and all he had left was his shield. He resisted all I cast at him, and curiously, did not chase me to the zone, and didn't attack me if I ran a few feet, then turned and came back with attack off.

    Hope this helps,

You can also do the Kobold Molar quest to rais your DW faction. Go to The Warrens. Slaughter kobolds by the hundred and stock up on as many Molars as you can hold. Go back to Erudin Pally guild and hand them 4 at a time to The Paladin trainer OUTSIDE around the back. Sorry I forget his name.

    Yummy Faction.

As far as I'm aware, those skeleton guards in Paineel at the newbie hunting grounds are basically like most other guards at a city's front gate: immune to all spells, with insanely high regeneration, designed to be nearly unkillable by players so that newbies would always have guards to run to for help.

What makes these skeletons special is that for one, they're not defending the city from invaders, they're merely there to protect newbies in trouble. The elevator prevents most enemies from entering Paineel. Two, they're not level 50 like most guards at main city gates; it seems like most of the skeleton guards in Paineel are green well before 50. Lastly, these two skeleton guards will supply you with a key to the elevator to get down into Paineel, if you have amiable faction or better; simply hail them, and tell them you need a key.

All you old school paladins might remember this... At one time, the Mask of Deception, dropped in L Guk, was wearable by paladins. You could make yourself a DE. So you needed the mask to do your epic. Then they nerfed the mask and made it bard/rogue only. Thats how you were supposed to get into Neriak. Just a little history for all of you.

Actually, the mask was nerfed well before the Fiery Avenger was implemented in game. The problem with the Fiery Avenger quest is that it involved a subquest which required you to go into Neriak and the only method to do that at the time was through Bard invis song.
    Books No Drop?
    # Mar 29 2002 at 9:47 PM Rating: Decent
well, that's basicly my question, are the two halves no drop? I once heard that one of them is not no drop, but that the other one was no drop, so needless to say, i'm confused. if you have one, take a look at it, and if you feel like it, tell me if it's no drop. also if they are not no drop, what would they sell for? i do plan on killing for them, but just in case my dice are bad, i'd kinda like to know how much they are.

Aye...the burnt and frost books that drop from the dragons ARE No-Drop. However..when given to the chick in Neriak, she gives you back the Book of Scale, and it's lore, NOT No-Drop. The book of scale is tradeable and sells for as much as 100k

Answer to your question :) The frost book half will also drop off of Gore in DL. The Flame book half will drop off of Fae(something), also a Kunark dragon, but unsure of his zone loc. Hope this helps :)

It says for the quest you need to hand in 2 books to some guy in neriak... any idea of how that would be done since paladins are good and dark elves are the dwarf eating lets leave the bones on the floor kind of people that dont like paladins? Maybe im just stupid, are both of the components and the outcome product not no drop?

    Thanks.

go to north qeynos, head out of the city and follow the wall to the right. you'll come to a woman in a blue robe (forget her name) and say "what scribe". the answer to her next question is "oracle of k'arnon". have books and 1000pp handly.

Ok couple things, first off, the burnt books and frost books are MQ'able, I've done it. The book of scale being droppable it only makes sense. Second, as far as the GB being No Drop now...hell who cares, it's easy to get just go camp it, or hell do the quest if it's not still broken eithe way, do a little work. And 3rd, as far as the Lich goes, I helped a paladin in guild kill him, we went with 60 Pally, 60 Wizard 59 Paladin, 55 Shaman, 56 Warrior, me 54 Paladin, 58 Bard <who charmed him easliy so chanter not needed>, a 57 ranger, and I think we had a druid not sure and a few other classes. Point is, the quest info about about the true lich being as hard to kill as a dragon...not even close we had over kill. If you are ther with a healer and at least AT least a def tank, you have enough, just have some DPS there to back you either Rogue or Wizzy with lure spells and you are fine.

Personally, I am happy now that GB is NoDrop. that means the only peeps who need to hunt it (or quest it) are the Paladin's for the Fiery Avenger or the SKs for Innoruk's (sp?) Curse. No one else, in my opinion, has the right to make money off an item that classes require for their Epics. My 2cp :)

I hate it when I go on a Vox raid hoping to get the torn frost book only to find out a paladin over 52 has reseved it for himself. I don't like that at all, how can someone reseve something like that and no even lif ta finger to help kill the beast.

All raids where something is reserved usually is said so on the respective server forum that may be up for that server. I am on TP and TP has an unofficial forum at www.tholuxepaells.com
Anyone has the right to reserve anything for themselves on any raid. You probably didn't hear about any reserves.
Did this person organize, plan, and execute the raid? Of course they have a right to reserve it and take it. I doubt they didn't "even lif ta finger to help kill the beast".
Go plan and execute your own raid.

    Sir Rendael,

I agree with you to an extent about if this person organized the raid, then he/she has the right to reserve it. But, I also agree with the posting stating about the over 52 person getting it. Vox and Nagy are supposed to be for those of us under 52 to have a shot at an epic battle and get rewarded for it, not for those 'Cavaliers' who are too lazy to attempt to put together a Gorenaire raid because that would mean they have to dirty their hands up to earn what they could earn themselves with the more difficult dragon. The problem with the situation is that Vox and Nagy Raids should be planned and organized by level 52 and under characters (with poss assistance from a 53+) Yes, this 53+ 'lifted a finger' to kill the beast, by pointing at others to put their 'lives' on the line while he'she reaped the benefits of the 'underlings' labor. Dolark,

Gorenaire and Talendor are not as easy as you think... A bunch of 53's couldn't take down either of them. You need a bunch of 55+ for them. Also, it is frustrating to be out of level and still in need of a book. Defaulting a book is ok because the raid leader put his/her time and effort into the raid, and that person may do whatever he/she pleases. Just my thoughts.

PS: 51 and 52 Paladins are "Cavaliers" and can fight Vox and Nagafen :P.

I agree. I don't know how it is on your server, but on mine there's really not much chance for me to kill gore. You have to be in a large guild that can mobilize fairly quickly to be able to kill him. On my server, Tarrew Marr, there's only 2 or 3 guilds that always end up killin him, so the rest of us are screwed, unless we buy the MQ or plan a Vox raid, so don't be a jerk about it til you consider all the facts.

You all should move to Tunare. We have weekly raids on both naggy and vox, and everyone gets their books through seniority. Just had a paladin that had no guild get the fiery defender a few months ago.

It only takes about 2 - 3 months of weekly vox and naggy attendance before you get your books. And in addition, if you stay a few months more, you walk away with a RBB and/or CoF.
