there is a creature not listed, call " a gunthak maraurded". It is yellow to my 56th lvl necromancer, and hits for 250+. Also it summons you, so it can keep hitting you. Haven't been able to kill it yet but if I do, i'll post what it drops
I did the task (( I need a Drink )) and completed the first two shown requirements - The third requirement calls for me to go give FASTARA DIO the flasks of drink . . . my blue line on my compass points to the ocean - directly at Firiona Vie . . . problem is when I try to translocate or swim . . . the line disappears if I Translocate, and I cannot enter Firiona Vie swimming.
have mobs like "a gunthak swabby" always been there? ive been killing some for stuff for my rogue on my 53 druid, they con blue to me they arent listed on allakhazam anyone know if there new cause of OOW?
New mob called "a Spiroc Harvester" spawning around the spiroc tower now. bunch of em to the south and west of the tower, but not in it or on the north shore. all white to a lvl 55.
Yeah, went there with my 52 Druid to work AA's solo for a while and was rudely suprised by the Spiroc Harvesters. They do run SoW speed, and are immune to changes in runspeed. They don't hit don't hit too hard, and didn't appear to sneak attack like the Spiroc Proven. I didn't notice them roaming around, but if they are static spawns they picked some odd spawn sites. Sony has done the same thing with the Ice Giant Fort in EW too, the Kromif Elite live there now.
I'm a 52 Warrior. While working on collectng parts for my Epic, I got attacked by an Iksar named Izatri by the chess board in Tim Deep. Pet wolf by his/her side, cast Malosi, and punched for 118, 787 and 315 before I decided to gate (10 Dose Gate Potion: never leave home without it (or Blood of the Wolf, or Antiweight, or Cloudy... I like to be prepared)). Conned red. Any idea who this is? Alla has no mention of um, and I didn't stick around long enough to ask questions...
[Edit: Welp, now Alla's got the mob listed, but no additional information. Just name and level. But at least now I know I'm not crazy!]
It's for the new Iksar Warrior Pike "Pride of the Legion". At the time of me posting this, it's not yet spoiled on Allakhazam. You can find more info on the Steel-Warriors Forum.
Just to note, killing the Bandit Leader will spawn "a Lesser Spirit", these guys are another starting point for the Shaman epic, besides the other known ones.
I have heard that you can solo here on a lv 38 bard..is this true? and if so what songs and techniques must be used because i pulled about 6-7 birds, and it took roughly 18 minutes to kill them all, which seems like a very long time for that. i was just wondering if there is a way to make this go faster or not. thank you
Ogre raiders, ogre wise one and the ogre watchman are great experience for solo rangers and wizards.
Start solo experience at Ogre Isle at Level 19 if you have good to very good gear, 20 if your gear is decent to good and 21 if you have low quality to decent gear.
Just start with the ogre near the pier that goes to Overthere, then work your way to the ogre standing on top of the large rock, run over to the watchman who spawns in-between 2 large rocks next to the rock cliff, then finish off with the ogre on the rocks where the sandy beach ends. By the time you finish with that rotation the ogre near the pier to OT has respawned. rinse / repeat
Take care to give The Great Oowomp and Ugrak da raider a wide birth. Leave the ogre's that are along the sandy beach and secondary pier's alone, or keep them root parked for the duration of the fight. Also be wary of the fred flinstone huts, many times one ogre is outside and one is lurking indoors.
Not a new mob. It is a Beastlord epic mob, and it is a TRIGGERED ONLY mob. There is only one of them at first, a lower lvl one (about 35 i THINK). After you kill him, 5 others spawn, all about 54+. If the BST doing thier quest fails to complete this part of it, these mobs will travel the zone killing EVERYTHING in sight, players and NPC's.
i am also 51 druid with about 235-255 wis range. snare and round up 4 raptors and use 49 lightning spell until they well done. serve up with BBQ/steak sauce while you med. I actually timed doing this vs root/dot/med technique and found that i could down 4 raptors in about the same time as it takes to quad and med to full. quadding is quite risky when you round up 4 beast who can hit for 130+ each. 130 plus double attack with 4 mobs=dead druid. Given the space available on raptor island quadding is possible but u can die quite abit. also it's better to root/dot if there are other PC hunting nearby to avoid agroing them. luthir
I recently read something about a captain irontail sea captain who had his fleet wiped out by a dragon in TD, he carried a "storm Sabre" that was lost with him. If such a weapon now exists, it would make sense to have such hard hitting pirates guarding its location :) (the shipwreck pile) Perhaps a chanter could charm one and try talking to them. I dunno. Or maybe that cursed skeleton at the firepots knows something.
First off, let me say that I am only 48 but think I can help, or at least try.
The simple answer is the same thing you would do to quad at any earlier level. Nothing changes at 51 that I am aware of. You do however have the much desired 49th level lighning spell which replaces my 184 damage one *drool*.
If you are asking how to quad, there are much better quad guides than I can give here (such as at EQDruids), but here are the basics:
Find 4 mobs (the lightning spell only works on 4) relatively close together, in an area without a lot of wanderers if possible as adds suck. Snare each one, trying not to get hit much. Get them bunched together by running circles around them til they are touching. Then run a safe distance away and cast lighnting strike or better on them, run away from them and recast, medding as they catch up if need be. Re-ensnare any one that breaks and re-group them by running circles again. AOE Lighning them til they are all dead or one remains. I like to kill the singles with a cheap dot like Drones of Doom (I have ES arms so it's free). Med to full and repeat. Again this is the simple version. Read the guides to learn and I do recommend working into 4 just to be safe.
If you mean how do you kite the spirocs or raptors here, there are posts under each mob for that. I especially like the one for the raptors, great work!
Hope this helps and is more than a simple retelling of the basics of quading. Overall it is fun, exciting and rewarding if you can do it.
Spotted a named skelly, Cursed Traveler, in the Fire Pot room. Red to my L 30 chanter and indifferent. It faces the center bonfire and does not move or turn to face you. Hailing returns this message: "The eyes of the skeleton are bleak and dreary as though the essence which keeps it standing is not really there,a surreal look into the future for those who make their stay in the immediate room around you. The ominous figure does not make any sound but nods in your direction as if to tell you that he died here long ago by resting by teh nearby fire for too long. In your mind you hear the eerie thoughts of this undead figure, alluding to the fact that it is unwise for you to remain here for too long, lest the mighty water dragon overtake you, as it over took him."
That's Verants way of warning you that if you med there while Fay's up and think you are safe, you are not. I know my necro died there about a year ago when I didn't know about Faydawer the dragon. I sat to mem some spell or another after swiming there and was dead before I could see what Fay looked like. I have since come to find out that if Fay is up, then sitting or casting or singing (bards) will aggro it from far distances. Hope this helps. Twas a horrible CR when I was new to the zone and didn't know where anything was. Dying on the ocean floor is never fun and I don't recommend it.
Although other messages have been useful in suggesting solo Ogre hunting was possible, a few more words ought to be stated on the subject.
First, the Ogre village. It is made up of a circle of huts around fires and a dock. There are two ogres near the dock, a single ogre on the east edge of the buildings and two ogres at west edge (one is hidden inside a building). There is also the Great Oowump who stands outside a hut, with another ogre inside the hut.
Great Oowump will aggro if you attack any of the ogres near the buildings, which is bad since he is 34th lvl.
Fortunately, there are 4 ogres on the fringes who may be attacked without trouble. One stands over by the dock to OT (west of the village); another stands between two rocks to the north of the village (this is the placeholder for Ugruk, so be careful); a third stands on the rocky shore to the east of the village; and the fourth is the ogre standing at the end of the village dock.
This last ogre may be attacked from the east by wading out into the shallows. Basically, so long as it is pulled away from the Great Oowump's hut you are fine, as the ogre will swim toward you if you hit it with a spell/arrow.
I have not tried the other ogre near the village dock, as I was afraid it was too near Oowump. But as a caster, 4 ogres were enough despite the somewhat long "pop" time.
I have the four objects that I need for the Can2 quest. Im an Iksar Shammy and I was told you have to complete the quest in Tims Deep. Anyone know who im suppose to give the stuff to??
The crushed diamonds for the quest can be found here on the golra isle. As for turning everything in, you need to give them to one of the ogres, I think the great oowomp, but check eqshaman.com or talk to him before you turn everything in.
