Staff of DiscordIm leve 59 druid on fv server and i just soloed him. took a long time due to no kei and having to med up a lot to get winged death on him but i dropped him pretty easily.
Just let him hit u with his nukes ever now and then before u get hm below 50 percent hp so that he uses up all his mana and cant CH.
I looted all the stuff from him but all of it apart from the staff and robe of discord was NO RENT

Im Rofl right now, because I just bet 10k that a lvl 40 pally and a 41 monk Cant kill this guy. For some reason they dont think hes very tough. But when the subject came up I had a flashback of the first time I saw this ******* killed, by a Halfling Warrior or something not really sure, and a Erudite Wizard both lvl 60. They both died the first round but I REALLY wanted to see him die (after those unfortunate AE incedents as a lowB Wizzie) So I said OOC All the healers in the zone come to PoD lift now. Quite a few people came and healed the Warrior enough that they took him down, needless to say I was extatic. Anyway Tonight they are gonna try to kill him with 2 lvl 40s, They dident put any money up so I wont be making any, But im damn sure not losing any. I feel really Sadistic but everyone has to die for there Ignorance some times. I let you know what happened, should be a funny story (and a quick one).

You DONT need a guld group to take him down I took him down with me a 62 Pally and a 44 Cleric alone. I heard of other people saying that he dropped a 15 to all stats 100hps 45/34 2hb staff.

Yeah, the Staff he drops is excellent... until you zone. Then it morphs into a mace of some sort thats common and low-level by today's standards

Tryed duo with 61 chanter and 63 druid (me),got him to 7% them somethign happened where he got a ton of mana,he was able to cheal 3 times then chain nuke me like 7 times.Dont know if this was a bug or what but we quit after that.Hopefully i can get a mage or chanter and try again.

You guys are crazy, I attacked him with 4 all 53+ he wiped us I was 56 wiz only thing that would hold was lures, we took him down only 20% before paladin was dead after loh. He needs a guild group to take
Level 65 Ranger friend of mine soloed him, so it doesn't take a guild.
i saw a guy try to fight him once... the PoD killed him within seconds, the guy came back for his corpse and the PoD ran over and cleaned him off again...

I seen lvl 50 necro solo the pod he had pet chase it around so lvl 50 can take him out I can see 60 necro eat his lunch warning he hit hard
I watched a level 50+ Bard waste this guy. He kept running around the PoD with a speed song (not sure which) and casting DD songs on him. The PoD would chase the guy, but couldn't get in range to hit the Bard. Basically, if you have a lot of room, you can nuke this guy no problem. The guards didn't attack the Bard during this, by the way.
Basically, a Bard would probably have the easiest time taking the PoD out, since they can cast while moving. It took the Bard probably 15 minutes to kill him, but he dropped a weird robe, the staff, and a Rune of the Astral (I have it on Terris-Thule if any of you don't believe me). Not sure what the rune is for (I haven't seen it anywhere) but, like I said, I have it in case you don't believe me.

Rune of the Astral is used in wizard Research for some of the highest Research-able spells. They drop randomly from any mob in a certain level range.

He said the bs part was looting the epic. You can't loot nodrop items given to a Mob.

if htis is true... would i be able to kill him with my guild the AoA on povar server?
P.S. my guild is HUGE with not ALL high lvls but a lot of high lvls.

Ok, my guild raided the pods in RV and Kelethin (Im expecting hes the same everywhere). All he drops is robe and staff of discord, not very good, but great experience with tactics and all for when you take on actually tough mobs :P. Here's the run down on killing him.
We had about 15-20ppl, most above 50, but some below, raid was for 40+ (me baing lowest, 40 chanter) I couldn't land a spell, even with tash, I'd say don't try to nuke him until about 1 or 2 bubs, not worth getting aggro for just one nuke. Had a bunch of clerics/druids/pally's, I think about 7 or 8 healing em, and about 7 or 8 tanks on him, some with their epic. For the RV one, Monk pulled, called assist hotkey, everyone jumped in, went down pretty quickly. For kelethin, ranger pulled, and same thing, went down easily. I won a robe an staff, but staff is bugged and changed into a combine morning star when I zoned, seriously. And the best part is, Illusion human looks exactly like him, so me and him we're posing together, couldn't tell the difference ^_^

He's part cleric, part SK and part warrior.

How do you fight player vs. player if you can't give the priest of discord you're book? I destroyed mine!
Talk to him. FOllow the dialouge and he'll give you a book.

Another way to get a book if you don't have yours is to ask a newbie for thier book. Just ask in /ooc or /shout channels and you will get noticed be someone who has no need for the book they have. Good luck

Hey, heres a list of some things that might come useful when u tease the Priest Of Discord. On the bottom of this note is some important stuff
Things Not To Do:
1)Sending your pet to attack POD and hide.
-I once tried it and then he slashed my pet for 350 pts. of damage and walked right through me and caused me to get hit for 300 pts. of damage and I died.
2)Attacking the POD far away with a long range spell.
-I tried this and he shot his red Cleric spell at me from like 5 miles away and I died, so don't think hes stupid. I got killed.
3)Attacking the POD in melee form.
-Unless your level 50+ dont try attacking him in melee form, I tried, I died...
Things You Can Do:
1)Attack The POD with pet and then gate.
-I tried this and it worked!
Well, thats it.

I know someone who totally owned this guy soloing. He was attacking with a lvl 60 mage and a lvl 58 cleric. The cleric had a manastone and complete healed pet. Manastone 35 times, complete heal himself, then pet. Every once in a while, the mage healed the pet. Major ownage!!!!

Having sow really helps by the way. My paladin was sowed so I shot him with a bow and ran like hell for Crushbone. Using my bard, I killed a decaying skeleton for a rusty dagger and threw it at him. I had Selo's on of course. He hit me with a DD that only did 88 damage, so I twisted Selo's and the healing song (don't remember the name) and headed for Felwithe. I didn't stick around to see if he got nailed by the guards, but next time, I'm gonna do it with a friend there just to see how they react. If they jump him, I'll take a LOT of screenshots!

Pod is anywhere from 55 to 63....
PoD is lvl 50, and is a really hard cleric to fight. And for everyone, post stuff only if you know what to ask or reply and dont make it off topic

When I was playing my lvl 7 my friend hit him once when I was taking a leak. When I came back he was doing his wraith spell. I could of ran since it takes him a long time, but I diddn't know
he was trying to hit me. The next thing I know boom im dead hit for 500 something

Ive seen the PoD wearing many different things. Im not 100 percent sure if its from people though. I once saw him in FULL purple armor.. quite interesting. I was told he once dropped two ragebringers (no lie) though Im not sure he was telling me the truth or not =)

I'm told casting classes will summon crap armor for the PoD, just to see how it looks. Something like giving a banker an orc pawn pick.
