These guys drop a lot of high quality bear skins. I have killed 30 of them with a lvl 51 bard and I have looted 6. Not too bad and an easy kite to the south of the tents where nothing roams.

Soloing Poacher camp - North tent

The north tent has three poacher spawns in it. They did not assist each other when I pulled them as a 51 druid. Pretty easy fights with okay plat, poor loot, and decent AA exp. I pulled them east from the tent openings to the rocks nearby. In no case did I get close to the river just to the east which is full of some bad critters!

Good Hunting :)

They do group aggro. I was soloing them with my ranger, they were dubious. I harm'd them just in case, but I must have missed one because I got an add... was a pain to juggle the add and the pull.

a 45 necro and I (49 SK) were hunting the poachers last night. She was pulling with Dooming Darkness. Twice we got two on a pull, but that was mostly because one was hiding when she pulled. They're not difficult to get one at a time if you survey the area before you pull.

If you kill a poacher, you get:
Your faction standing with Pirates of the Pine got Worse.
Your faction standing with Residents of Jaggedpine got better.

If you kill a bear, you get:
Your faction standing with Critters of Jaggedpine could not possible get any worse.
Your faction standing with Residents of Jaggedpine got worse.

So, if you want to hunt critters (like bears), then you can kill poachers later to win back the approval of the residents. However, I don't know how to win back the approval of the critters. Damn things don't forget.

Or kill gnolls and get three other good faction hits including the Residents of Jaggedpine.
Illusion Mask

They drop a bard/rog illusion mask? Who drops?
RE: Illusion Mask

Zed Sticklebush drops the Burnoose of the Half-Breed, which is an Illusion:Half-Elf mask. He spawns near the fire of the poacher camp. Not only is he a rare spawn, but the mask is a rare drop off his rare spawn. So...that's makes this mask a RARE drop.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

the two Harbingers in Trakanons Teeth drop the Illusion: Iksar bard/rog mask.
General info

poacher camp (loc -900 by -1200). There is one spawn location called the "4th camp fire spot" which only spawns named poachers every 2 hours -/+ 10 min. he is commonly spawning there. The named have almost twice the number of hitpoints of a normal poacher.

About the camp:
It is located in the south eastern part of the zone. This is the only other human habitation in the zone. The camp is comprised of 3 tents one facing the river, another with 2 openings at each end called the "big top" and the final in the back facing the campfire. The camp fire has 3 spawn on 7 min timers one on 2 hour timer. all the tents have eight 7min timer poachers. To the west of the camp is the Hatchling river where the water folk live, they will agro on anyone.

About poachers:
poachers are generaly social (will help each other) until polled by a lvl 51+. They are all rogues and will BS, they also hit faster then most oldworld mobs. they will run at low health. All the tent poachers are static and will not move unless provoced, the camp fire poachers take a walk if left untouched for 10 min (yes, even the named).

Notes on Zed:
Drops the Burnoose of the Halfbreed more often from the 4th campfire spawn, but I have seen it drop from a tent spawn ONCE. He is the hardest head to get, followed by his wife, with the Blackguards bringing up the rear.

The 2 hour spawn produced these results,
EB (Elishia Blackguard)
RB (Reynold Blackguard)
RB
YB (Yanric Blackguard)
ZS (Zed Sticklebush)
EB
EB
VS (Vaurien Sticklebush)
RB (dropped Blackguard's Dudgeon)
EB
KS
ZB (dropped Burnoose of the Halfbreed)
EB (dropped Partisan of Stampede)
RB
KS
EB
ZS
ZS (dropped Burnoose of the Halfbreed)
YB
EB (dropped Partisan of Stampede)
RB
EB
ZS
VS (dropped Decanter of the Apothecary)

General notes:
Griff's will attack poachers when close by and will KS them from PC's.
There are large locks in the are, they are a good spot for casters and clerics as most animals do not come close enough to agro.
Most animal Mobs will come close to the camp, Trents and gnolls are never seen, but water folk will at times take a walk in the area.

This was a whole weekend and 3 weeks of hunting,
