They also drop Mountain Lion Jawbones.... got one on 4/27/07Smiley: smile

Confirmed that the small mountain lion drops the jawbone needed for the newbie armor quest. It is a rare drop though and you need two of them. The small mountain lions spawn in the newbie pit between the POK book and the druid rings. Just keep clearing everything in the area and they eventually spawn.
