Walnan  

On 10/26/04, found her at 1932, 1771, 118 stationary on the side of a hill. She had no pet with her so sense summoned was useless in trying to find her. I hailed her and she mumbled something about "are you an elementalist in search of truth." I handed her the four powers orbs, got the Power of Elements in return, she said to see Akstaff next in OOT, and then she immediately despawned.

I found her close to Kaladim and on her way toward it.. I followed her around till she got to loc 1493, 1244 Where she depopped. My guess is that this is also her spawn place... It's a little south of the 2nd guard station from Kaladim leading toward the docks and it's off the path. I hope this help.. I have a friend who looted the Power of fire for me because I died in the process of helping to kill the mob that had it.. Someone else posted in one of the other threads that this quest can be MQ'd and I hope he wasn't mistaken.

I've been looking for Walnan with my ranger, trying to find her for a friend, for the last few days.

Just today I found her in the far northwest side of the zone - loc 3100, 2200. She stood at that loc for at least 10 full minutes before beginning a walk that led her east along the north edge of the zone line. She kept east until the curve of the zone line forced her path south. At that point she headed straight south until she reached the road. When she got to the road, she head toward Kaladim, following it the entire way except just before she reached the city. She took a brief cut overland, stopping at loc 2750, -350. She waited at that loc for about 15 seconds and then began walking back the way she came.

I would assume her path back would take her right to the spot she spawned, but some level 30 mage hailed her along the path and caused her to despawn. (/sigh)

Just over the hill from the entrance in the clearing, I met up with her and followed as she walked past the path near the 3 merchant huts. Stopped, waited a few, the walked back towards the path to the docks.

This is so fegging annoying. I've been sitting in BB for about 10 hours with a tracker here wandering aorund and NO WALNAN! I've seen her before. And shes usually on the path WHEN IM NOT LOOKING FOR HER! Dang SOE. "Questing" should not be looking for this retarded NPC wandering around in the woods. If you were Walnan for real, would u go wandering around aimlessly in the woods? NO! I didnt think so! They need to have some sort of system for making NPCs spawn. Because this is rediculous.

Ok guys I have found out alot out this NPC and hopefully this will help all you mages out there.

I went around with a tracker and he could not find this NPC for anything. So I ask my guild if they know anything about her and supprisingly a little lvl 14 Cleric knows all about her. And we found her. Even when the tracker was standing right next to Walnan they could not pick her up on track.

First she doesn't really roam around she stays on top of this hill most of the time right outside of dock gate at loc (1377 ; 1558). That is not the only place she is though. She moves to various locations MOSTLY ON HILLS <yes even on tall ones>. My advice to you is to look around (don't use a druid to track it doesn't work) between the docks and the city in BB. I guarantee you will find her just keep your eyes open.

Second she will not talk to low lvls so wait till you can actually use the Epic before you try and get it.

Third she WILL VANISH after you talk to her. Now I know most people say she has a long spawn time, most peeps don't hunt her mostly b/c she cons BBlue to me a lvl 57 and drops a crappy robe. So you should be able to find her relitively easy. I went back about an hour after I turned in the items and she had poped again.

Does anyone know when she spawns or what PH is needed to get her to spawn, I have been after this mob for 5 weeks now and I can't seem to get her up. I have a high level ranger with me tracking for 8 to 12 hours on end and no luck, any hints or clues would be very helpful.

Had same Problems with no answer on my hail.. she said something like i should slay some more bats for that until she is willing to talk to me...

Hopefully ur right with its only case of lvl as i am also 44..

Bored 56 necro, thought I'd have some fun. Gave her two attempts; her damage shield ate through my pet on the first try. Second attempt, I Dispelled her and she dropped like a rock. No resists at all... Darkness stuck fine, Fear lasted a really comfortably long time, couple rounds of DoTs with no resists. A LOT of HP, took awhile to get her down, but was pretty mundane and was nearly FOM at the end. No faction hit, no coin, and only a Purple Sr Apprentice Robe* (like you buy from newbie vendors) for loot.

She's the third person you're supposed to talk to during the Mage Epic, yet she won't give me the time of day. Guess I'm not high enough level. Unfortunately, I just DING'd 44 so I guess I'll have to level some more. Perhaps at level 46...

The Epic Quest info gives her location at 1848, 624 but I found her just off the road on my way to the docks at 1508, 1893.
