Man I luv UP =) used to be soo loney before i joined my guild. They immediately introduced me to Umbral and my fav mob, Tarow ... we do him very often with a grp of a 63shm 61sk mid fitty chanter and another accasoinal guildie ... battle take a lil bit to get through w/o a full grp but is very fun. Im glad to wield the dirk and the LS , they are very nice weaps =)

The group was: 56 cleric, 56 enchanter (me), 53 ranger, 59 warrior, and 50-something ranger.
We didn't fight our way in exactly, except a few critters; invisibility and SoW got us in just fine. The spirit took a lot longer to kill than Tawro Earthquake himself.

Heh...Did him with: 60 Pally (me), 61 Shaman (me), 65 Cleric (Evilkiyone).
Not going to go into details. But, we were pretty damn proud of ourselves, and now we have our alts sitting there waiting to soak up all the No Drop drops. Oh, the bracelets sell ok too =)

My bro solo'd him also.. i was there, but i just watched. after the first 20 seconds went by and he was still at 98% health... i told him he sucks and left :) Dropped Bracelet of Might, Flaming Dirk, and Rod of Virtue... all rotted cept bracer.
Bro is a lvl 70 Bl w/ 344 AA's and full time gear, also crits for over 1.5k dmg... so im sure that helped.

Our guild isn't super big or super powerful, and we have been trying to kill Tawro for a while. We finally did it today, and it was an ease. The turnout from our guild was quite awesome today, got like 14 people. We hit him for a while after slowing him, and lost a warrior due an unfortunate accident (the warrior was at low health, and when Spirit of Tawro spawned; he got smacked). Spirit of Tawro dropped the wand and a bracelet of quickness; I personally was hoping for a flaming dirk, since i am a rogue, but it is good for the guild overall. I would recommend this mob to guilds in need of good items but are not yet powerful.

Spirit of Tawro dropped the Wand of Cursed Souls yesterday. Stats were 10sta 10int 30hp 60mana 20dr 20pr, 1.1wt, nec wiz mag enc.

I've been in UP awhile now but haven't been able to fight more of the 59-60 mobs other than a few of the named Gantrus and the Dark Masters. The Gantrus always drop something but the Dark Masters don't. For a mob that has 50-60k hp, the DM are a bit of a waste of time. Do the spirits always drop an item or is it random? Thanks.
edit: finally saw Tawro up and got the chance to take this guy down. Another easy fight since he's slowable. I parsed him for 56,935 in melee damage. I'm not sure how much the necro/enc/druid landed in nukes and dots, I'm guessing 20k or so. Our fight lasted 543 seconds with a group of six (60 nec/enc/druid/pal, 56 rogue and 56 cleric). Our paladin took 22,895 in damage; max hit 325 and min 107 (bash max 107, kick max 109)
Dropped the Rod of Virtue (clr already had it, epic druid didnt really need it) and the INT bracer. Slow the guy and it's a real easy fight.

Yes, he can be slowed and easily one groupable. took him out with Warrior, Druid, Cleric, Shaman, Monk. All 60. Our cleric was still almost FM by the time the battle was over. Took about 10 minutes.

Just a fact about him that I did not see listed.. he is a summoned mob so those lines of spells work well on him.

Yes, this is true and a very good thing for mages. We just recently took him with a Shaman, Mage, Warrior, Monk, Pally, and Druid. The Mage (Me) Warrior, and Paladin were all below 60. It was an easy fight, mainly because everyone in our group is a credit to their class. However, The DPS were helped along due to the fact that the Ward Summoned proc on the Sword of Runes were actually able to have some effect. Not a tremendous increase in damage, but any little bit helps.

Got bracelet of comprehension off of him last night w/ one group.. so he drops this too. Probly drops all bracers.

took him down just for fun today, with 4 people. 60 ogre warrior, primal / full badass gear (5khp unbuffed) , 55 rogue, ungrouped 56 cleric and 56 chanter. chanter was just there to haste the two, cleric dropped cheals on the tank, and about 25 minutes after we started, it died. dropped the longsword and the int bracer.

droped him with 9 peeps no prob. 3 warriors, 2 clerics, 1 chanter, 1 ranger, 1 shadow knight, and 1 monk, our lvl range 50-60. Droped the int bracer and the edge of honor.
1 solid 55-60 group could probably do it. Would suggest a war with def dis up. Took him last night with 2 groups and it took 7-10 mins. Doesn't hit hard, but does hit fast, or at least that's what the tank was saying.

i've killed him with 3 ppl, Ranger(57) War(59), Shaman(58) was a piece of cake, just remember to reslow him at about 1/2 life

a while ago, before this guy was in the beasiary, he dropped one of those 15 wis bracers and an int caster 1hb that made my jaw drop when they announced the stats, sorry i cant remember what they were from so long ago =/. if im not mistaken, radir/tawro/doomshade/Gantru Dralkenr can all drop any +stat bracer. tawro/radir/dralkenr have always dropped one for me, but i have never killed doom so i cant speak from experiance on him

I think the weapon you are thinking of is called Longsword of Freedom, 20/29 8str/sta 15dex/agi 7hp 7sv all.
