Dark Huntress  

she doesnt drop jack. we killed her about 10 times while looking for Black Dire, well waiting for him anyway, tons of hp, not too magic resistant I landed E-bolt and slow almost every time. She is definitely no one you wanna tackle alone before 60, mid fifties if you are equipped well and have a healer

62 Mage here - I haven't been in MM very much in a long time but I was in today to do the Dire for a shammy and I saw this mob plowing through the natives over past the pond in the corner. I think she was trained to the zone in earlier and was making her way back. The shammy warned me about her as I was heading over and when I saw her, I was surprised to see something new in this zone.

I was invis and didn't hang around to see what she was up to (though I did con her as light blue... highest con in MM and it's running around the easiest part). I went over to the chasm in front of the Dire and began to clear a fighting area. A few minutes later little miss cant be wrong is walking up to where I am, a pile of bodies in her wake (not only do I feel sorry for the peeps trying to xp here now, I feel sorry for the poor mistmoore mobs which enjoyed much safer lives before her arrival).

She aggro'd and she and her pet went through 1 of my pets (62 water) by the time her health approached 40 - 50 percent. My second pet took care of the rest. She got one of the boiling line of dots off on me (it did no noticeable damage) but I resisted a bunch of others I didn't pay attention to.

I daresay she's much harder than simply chaining 2 pets makes her sound. If you are in MM for xp and she takes a liking to you, she will eat you and yours for lunch; if you're pre 60ish, beware: she's a nasty bit of business.


I hope that the human model used is not the true form this mob is supposed to take (as suggested by an earlier poster). I'd like to see what they had in mind and I also hope that it signals a MM upgrade.

Anyone have any clue what faction she's on? You get no faction hits for killing her, she wanders around killing the mobs in the zone, she cons indifferent to me (Erudite Enchanter), but she's KOS to the Dark Elf Mage I was grouped with. *shrugs*

Dark Huntress now hangs around the zone, and is much more common than before when she was random and depopped after a few seconds. She drops nothing, not even a copper. I'd imagine that she's just a random spawn to make the zone more interesting/challenging. Sorta like Sand Giants in Oasis.
She isn't very mr at all, never resisted a song. Parsed 2 fights, she has about 10k hp, and relatively decent ac, i had almost 10 less dps on her than I did on her pet (she uses the level 49 necro pet, and it does lifetap).
During both fights she used the same pattern, she meleed mostly at the beginning, occasionally casting a fear or screaming terror or a paralyzing earth, but once she hits the 30% hp mark, she lets loose with ignite blood, insidious retrogression, incinerate bones, blast of poison, and dooming darkness. Both fights looked relatively easy, until at the very end. both fights ended with me at about 20% hp, and I was full until she started casting the nasty spells. I'm a level 61 bard, and she was a fairly easy takedown, although I probably would have died the first time i fought her without an ss bp for heals and i even had to get out a BoH to regen enough to offset her dots, they're nasty.
I also get the impression that she's not supposed to appear as a naked human (which is the default when you dont have the texture for the mob). I first thouoght this when I noticed that when she cast, the particle effects came from the center of her body (which is what happens when the texture defaults), rather than her hands, as would be the case if she was supposed to be a human. So, I'm interested in seeing just what it is she really looks like, since it's bound to be something unique. She uses the iksar soundbank when she melees and gets hit, but I dont think that's what she is.
Any ideas? Gonna /bug it when I log back in.

killed a few times drops nothing when I got to her she was busy killing other MM mobs she argos them for some reason and me, and shes a necromancer between level 50 and 54 was light blue to a level 65

Well I was camping the Avenging Caitiff in the staircase right by the bridge and the tower. All the sudden I see the Dark Huntress cast a few buffs on top the staircase then a second later the Avenging Caitiff spawns...I dunno if its some sort of connection or not but thats my encounter with her ^_^

ok guys here what i know about the Dark Huntress. alot of this info came from very good friends and long time player. ok she a random pop in the zone and she is only there for the time it take to cast one buff on herself. after that she will depop about 10 sec or so. She looks like a human female newbie ("naked"). When I saw her, she spawned in the passage that leads from the newbie pond to the graveyard. i have asked a GM friend about her and was told noone to date has ever killed her. when i asked about her loot i got no reply so i did not push it. if you can cast or melee her before she get her one buff casted she can be attacked without her depoping. she coned dark blue to me at lvl 51 and have been told she is very under coned. she seem to pop in alot i have seen casting text from her 3 or 4 time in one night of raiding the zone. if you ask me about it i say it would have to be a blue moon before anyone could kill her. having the group or groups to kill her and having the luck for her to pop in on top of your raid is the only way anyone could take her down. i hope this info help you guys and good luck to anyone going after her;o)

you know i think imma take a few friends to mistmoore this week to find out the age ol question.. im curious to know if she drops anything to.. ill post if she does..

Someone must have killed her at least once. Come on people post your stuff. If she's that highly magically resistant that probably means she's got some really really good loot !! A.k.a black reavers in CoM prolly i can think of from top of my head.

Khmm was wondering about this mob. I was camping dhampyre for like 5 nights and giving out essences to some lower levels *waves to syraties* here on drinal. One night while camping my guy, i heard Dark Huntress casts a spell. Wow, I thought I remember seeing this mob, wasn't sure whether she was lvl 50 or not. However, I didn't dare to check her out lol, I can barely gate when a few green mobs pound on me lol but with huntress that would be flat out impossible. :) Can someone please post what does she drop? Gotta be something good or for really ultra rare quest.
