Just did this for a guildy, was easy fight. AND my 61 air pet's stun interupted his casting, and seemed to halt his attacks. Means to me that he IS stunnable, just have to have the right stun.
Keep in mind the time of the posting. Most likely, pre-PoP stuns don't work on him. Guess PoP ones do (like the ones your pet uses)

I helped out with this quest and after killing him got the following faction changes:
Order of Autarkic Umbrage got worse
Coterie of the Eternal Night got worse
Valdanov Zevfeer got worse
Akheva could not possibly get any better
Shak Dratha got better
Not sure why I have Max faction with Akheva, I haven't spent much time at all in Luclin.

I have a lvl 50 Druid and I ported into Grimling. I sat to change some spells and med a bit when I hear this guy get angry about being summoned and hits me hard. Luckily the group that summoned him got him before the guards jumped in because I was going for nearby zone.
Well that story does not do much except warn porters to be careful and questers to be careful to lose their NPC.
Oh ya I conned him and was even to me so he could be lvl 50 too. Unless I totaly lost it and conned myself. 8)

well just did the quest and he is a tuff muther
but with a party of 5 two 57 tanks a cleric a chanter and myself a 57 druid it was not much of a fight and he does summon BTW

Hes a shaman. Slows you a lot. And is unstunnable, unrootable, and unsnareable. Does not summon. More than 6k hp. Good luck.

Cuz with PoP nukes, I could down him in 3 shots.
