Vyzh`dra the Cursed

To spawn Vyzh`dra the Cursed:

Kill the seven Taskmasters (Kavamezh, Keuzozh, Mikazha, Revan`Kezh, Vezhkah, Zerumaz, and Zhe`Vozh), the two Rhozths (Ssrakezh and Ssravizh), and Warden Mekuzh.

Doing so spawns a glyph covered serpent. Kill this to spawn Vyzh`dra the Exiled. Kill him to spawn Vyzh`dra the Cursed.

Note: A rune covered serpent and Vyzh`dra the Banished will appear in the aforementioned mobs' places if they have been killed prior to an unsuccessful Vyzh`dra the Cursed attempt. The only difference is they will not drop loot.

Vyzh`dra the Cursed himself casts an AE Charm which can make this encounter interesting...

As many times as I've participated in this event over the years, if some time passes between events, I tend to forget how to get to the fight scene. This isn't a zone you wanna get lost in. Most mobs don't SI but guaranteed you will run into some that do if you wander around aimlessly scratching your.... well, that thing ogres do so well. (Update: Actually most mobs on 2nd and 3rd floors DO SI!)

Zone in, come to first door and run straight across opening that door.
Take a left.
Take a right.
Go straight past 8 patrollers (4 on each side), which fortunately don't SI.
Next right.
Next right.
Open door.
Get in the tube and head down. This is like swimming and a little tricky for noobs.
Go all the way down, one flight. Exit EAST thru the only opening in the wall.

This is the basement. Find your guildmates and kill things!

Only mobs on this route are patrollers and two Observers at the bottom, none of which SI.

Did you look at the information at the top and kill all the mobs in order to spawn a glyph covered sperpent?

Group and kill and taskmasters (named ones. Not, 'A shissar Taskmaster') ~ Pull warden to Ssrak/Ssrav room (split raised room, second floor) Ssrak and Ssrav are to the left and right in the rooms, kill warden, kill them. Wait about 60 second and Glyph should be up. The rest of the event will spawn exactly where Glyph spawns. Second mob DT'd (incredibly weak DT like 20k dmg). Spawn seems to be 5 +/- 12 hours I've farmed them tens of times for alts.

Has been duoed by a rog/cleric combo on Fennin, and tonight was an Sk, rogue cleric on stromm, duoed with rogue took forever, burned down exiled and had to wait for timer resets on discs....took over 3hours for entire event...sk rogue and cleric did in about 45mins...ofcourse he dropped crap

Just solo'd the entire cycle this morning...80 cleric with a bit better than average gear.

Use hammer pet/get summoned to access rhozth twins without a rogue.
Use Infusion of Faithful on glyphed to minimize feign-death AE landing. I've had problems in the past with mem-blur and glyphed regening a ton of hit-points due to this.
Max spell shield is absolutely vital to solo Exiled.
Cursed himself is long, but not too boring...his dps is still respectable unslowed. Reverse-damage shields probably do half the damage the entire fight because he hits so fast.

Ok, so let me get this strait. You go into the basement, kill the 7 taskmasters, the 2 rhozths, and the warder in 1 hour. The glyphed spawns, you kill him and then the Exiled spawms. Then you kill HIM, and the Cursed spawns. You kill him and your done. Is this correct? can anyone confirm this?

max hit 770 (around)fuilly slowable

what is min hit?

can a 12-18 people take it if the avverage is 65?

Some 20 toons from my guild plus a couple others came in for the fight. Raid average level was 67 and most of them were bazaar or high end Luclin geared but a few had decent gear.

It went very well. First all non healer were placed in the middle area to stay out of AE DD range and all healers were placed behind the wall to the south (where most taskmasters are). All except tank were to remove weapon in case of being charmed so as to do little damage to the tanks. Also all pets were removed.

Then we had someone on a suicide run (pre-consent the raid!) to run in, pull the cursed toward the south wall where 2 tanks pinned it to keep it from running. (second tank there in case MT died) A high level monk was designated the corpse runner to pull any corpse out toward the healers for rez.

Those in the middle area shot arrows, threw knives, nuked and dotted whenever possible while the healers were CCH'ing initially then healing as needed. The battle too several minutes (5 or 6) but it went well with only the suicide puller killed, a tank died once, and one toon getting killed due to charmed. Very few was charmed during the fight.

From beastlord view, ice nukes and dots landed probably 2 out of 3 attempts so not bad. Used up the mod rod and burned personal tribute for mana regen.

could a force of around 24 65-70's do this with a few 55+'s thrown in the mix? we recently burned through the xanamech event with no problems and with no deaths, if thats an indication. think we'd be able to handle this cycle?

We did this Event with 18 lvl 65.

the key is the strategie (mob placement) you need at least 1 Bard in the MT group to prevent the MT being charmed.

two hints: walls block the AE Charm (for your healers) and we allways did it as rangefight

You're a complete and utter ahole if you're time geared farming this mob, period. That's like a level 65 farming Emperor Crush and killin all the orcs while people that are there for exp have no mobs to kill.

PLENTY of people that can actually use the loot with their mains instead of giving it to their level 10 alt.

I think your a shortsighted in your criticism of Time geared people killing him. The Bloodfrenzy is one of the best weaps to have for a tank, as it has a modifier that makes your weapon procs go off more often. I have seen many warriors tougher than I am carrying it until they get something like a DBotW or a BBoB to go with their epic.

done it a few times with about 22ppl , 3 clerics , long fight but fun and the loot was worth it. Were not time geared or anything either just a matter of Mob Control and counting the AE well enough.

However i have heard of time geared ppl doing this with about 14 or so, probably doable with less

We had this script bugged for us once, having started two scripts at the same time. We noticed two emotes, but really didn't think anything of it. Due to the fact that they're directly on top of each other, we didn't realize that both Glyphed and Runed were both up until they were both charging the MT on pull. So we engaged Runed and trained Glyphed away and managed to get him stuck. Killed Runed, Banished spawns. Killed Banished, Cursed spawns. Cool! So we're fighting Cursed when Glyphed came back with a vengeance because people had low health agro. It's something we overlooked and really didn't take into consideration all that much. Hell, it's not like something like this happens every day. Needless to say, with one snake charming and the other snake FDing us all, we wiped. It got kinda messy, heh.

Now, the humorous stuff! Cursed and Glyphed just so happen to be KoS to each other. Wanna know how well Glyphed stands up to Cursed? It's actually about the funniest thing you'll ever see. Cursed slaughtered Glyphed like a 65 warrior up against a level 2 orc pawn. The faint rememberance of the once great Vyzh`dra is no match for the true "Destroyer of Gods" in his cursed state (Cursed only lost 4% of his health). With Glyphed dead, guess who's standing up at his platform? Weee, Exiled! Unfortunately, both Cursed and Exiled popped before we could re-engage them. :(

And no, none of this story is made up. It sucks that we lost to an old mob like Cursed, but hell, it isn't every day you get to challenge two scripts at the same time. It was definitely a bug at its finest.

You're incorrect, Canibulrat. Well, partly wrong. Yes, Exiled and glyphed are the two initial trigger mobs for Cursed. However, if you fail on Cursed and he despawns you can retry the cycle once the Rhozths respawn (2 hours as of last week). When you kill the Rhozths, Exiled and glyphed don't spawn. "a rune-covered serpent" and "Vyzh'Dra the Banished" spawn. They are identical to glyphed and Exiled except that they drop no loot. Exactly the same as Blood of Ssra and Ssra Blood Golem are identical save that the Golem drops no loot.

Upon death of Cursed the circle can be done again in 7 days. If someone has started the circle but only killed Glyphed or Glyphed and Exiled then the circle can be started again about 24 hours later (don't know exact time here).

If you happen to stumble over a failed circle attempt you will find one or two differences. If someone has killed Glyphed but not Exiled and Cursed, "A Rune Covered Serpent" will spawn for you. It's the same as Glyphed but drops no loot. If someone has killed Glyphed and Exiled but not Cursed, then "A Rune Covered Serpent" and "Vyzh'dra the Banished" will spawn for you. Both dropping no loot but otherwise identical to their "real" counterparts. Kill Banished and Vyzh'dra the Cursed will spawn as usual and of course drop loots.
