This is the second named in the Rhag cycle.

Spawns when Rhag`Zhezum is slain. Upon the death of Rhag`Mozdezh, Arch Lich Rhag`Zadune spawns elsewhere in the zone.

An excellent source for 60th level Luclin spells.

Spawn cycle?

Does Rhag Zehsum spawn on 1st floot and then Rhag Moz spawn on 2nd floor? If so, where? I have not found any good maps yet :-/ The ones on eqmaps isn't quite finished...anyone have some info on this?

Thanks
#Anonymous, Posted: May 20 2002 at 9:50 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This thing gives out unbelievable loot, but you gotta have the right group to do it in. The best group would be 20 people. 6 clerics, 5 warriors, 5 wizards, 2 shamans, 1 necro, and 1 druid. This way, the Clerics can heal the hell out of the warriors, the necro can cast and renew all DoTs, the druid keeps up with heals, nukes, and roots, the wizards nuke the s**t out of the monster, the shamans buff and heal the warriors, and DoT the monster. You already know what the warriors would do, and all of these people have to be around lvl 55 at least. If you get this group, you are bound to win...Happy Hunting, and good luck!
Some little Infos...

This little snake is an UNDEAD warrior.
He is permarooted now, so pulling is not necessary (good to debuff him).

He doesn't heal or cast, but has a nasty proc!
Proc dots Target (single) draws Stamina from it. You can heal it with cure Disease (counteract disease 2 times).

He has Flury Attacks, goes on Rampage and at end becomes Enraged.

He is slowable.

You can handle him with around 30 ppl in the 60th, maybe 24 if they have some AA points ;)

Do Maintank tactic and add 2 Warriors for getting Rampage. All others should at his back.

as of last night , my guild did our first attempt at rhag, he doesn't flurry, but also wasn't slowable.(/boggle) possibly a change recently with the PoP release and such, fairly easy fight set up your rampage tank have solid MT keep both alive. Good luck

He hit in the 500's and hit the warrior with defensive disc for about 300's

Rharg Moz is a triggered spawn. He appears following the death of Rharg Zhezum on the first floor of the Temple.

His death triggers the spawn of Arch Lich Rharg'Zadune, on the third floor of the temple.

The initial trigger (rharg Zhezum) is, I believe a 3 day spawn, and is not guaranteed to be up on server/zone reset.

He has been seriously upgraded. You will need at least 35 - 40 to take him now. Dropped battleworn dirk and scimitar of oak. He is also rooted in place. And hits VERY fast.

Did him with 20 lvl 65's yesterday, with only one death, me, cause our druids are lazy. (was RT).

A few questions

1) Is he a constant caster? Meaning does he attempt to cast more than he likes to swing.
2) Interrupts. Is knockback the only way to break a cast on him, or can you actually stun/mez at all. I was surprised the first time something huge took a stun even as part of an Enchanter nuke, and like to try whenever possible.
3) What does it seem he resists more? Seems after tash/malo/ro's magic and fire would be choice, but a below poster said massive debuff had him taking everything.
4) Can he heal himself or is he damage only?

Thanks ahead of time

He's pure melee. He has a narsty disease dot and I am not sure what else is attached to that but it's bad and it's a proc so it can't be inturrupted. It's single target though so just have a few people ready to cure the main tank. I diddn't have any problems landing anything on him besides diease or poison because all those fun things are 100% resistant like the undead in The Grey. I was just using exile undead on him and never had even one resist. A few partial resists but mostly max damage.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 16 2002 at 6:35 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If he has a disease dot then he's not pure melee
RE: A few questions

His dot is a proc, not a spell cast, so you can argue it either way. Semantics and all.

Did him with 24 people all 58+
Rampages every 20 secs or so..not a big deal if you have a chain ch set up..worked for us with 6 clerics in CH chain and 3 to CE..a bit overpowered maybe but gave us time to ress in people while fighting as well..will agrro on debuff so be prepared for shammies/chanters/necs/druids/mages to take a death..fight lasts about 5 to 10 mins..not a hard mob considering the drops 2 X KEI.. and a nice range item for tanks (no stats as i never asked)..gluck on him:)

Howto?
# Mar 04 2002 at 12:30 AM Rating: Decent
The only think thats realy dangerous is his rampage. What we did:

1. Debuff the hell out of him.
2. Memblur him totaly (if you assist him noone should be on his target).
3. Send in 4 warriors and one of them designated as maintank. Let the maintank build aggro, and the other warriors soak up rampage damage. Make sure to have assigned healers to the rampage-soakers.
4. Have a heal chain healing the Maintank.
5. Send in the rest after like 30 seconds, and nuke the hell out of him, basicly everything sticks (even enchanter nukes).

Info + drops
# Feb 28 2002 at 1:08 PM Rating: Decent
Spawn time on his guards is 16-20 minutes and they can be pulled by a FD monk before preping for this guy. We've taken him a few times and the drops have been beautiful.

As stated he triples for 575, rampages and is rooted (can't be pulled). Best tactic is the usual MA with a Cheal chain, all other melees fighting at close to max range (which is pretty big...he's a large mob). Don't remember if he can be slowed or not. I had no trouble sticking DoTs (both magic, and my fire resistance/ac debuff line), but after casting Ro's Smoldering Disjunction (big FR/AC debuff with minor dd) on him and stacking about 4 Winged Death on him (1500 hp DoT) I got summoned as soon as MA went down. SA picked up agro, but not before I died, so debuffing this guy can be somewhat suicidal.

As long as you can keep a Cheal chain going, this guy poses no real problem to any guild that can kill Velk/Vindi/Statue.

In addition to the above loot, he drops:

Scimitar of Oak
23 Damage 25 Delay
10 str 12 wis 50 hp 50 mana
10 save fire/cold/magic
proc: Penetrating Roots (200 dd + root)
Magic, Lore, No Drop
Druid Only

Nice drop pre-epic for druids, and I think it looks a hella lot cooler. Think this is one of his rare drops, as we've killed this guy 4 or 5 times and I've only seen one drop. He has also dropped 2 to 6 level 60 Luclin spells on every kill.

this mob hits tripples about 575 and rampages and has i think about 150-200k hp
he is a rooted mob and is guarded by a number of mobs that have a long spawn time ya can set up in his room he casts a nasty DoT that does a lot of dmg and has a mana drain curse
Info?
