Took this guy down
# Feb 10 2005 at 5:07 PM Rating: Decent
My guild took this guy down with a single group a little while back. We had a 52 cleric, two 52 warriors, 52 rogue, 45 bard, and a 56 mage. For being sans slow(the bard's slow kept being resisted) and being the first time we met this guy we did well. Our MT died when Gantru was rampaging, but our second warrior and the rest of us quickly took him down. He dropped a STA bracelet.

Must be lucky. 2nd day of trying to level Sk and along came Gantru Dralkenr again. This time I had a choice. I pulled him in to ME zone line and made much shorter work of him as I was triple boxing 69 cleric, 58 SK and 49 Shaman.
All 3 pets helped and only thing he did was summon and rage but Cleric was ready for that.
Never got MT down below 40%. This time I got lucky as he dropped Bracelet of Comprehension.
Not high enough to venture past this entrance area for now can't wait to find out what else is out there. This is one of the safest areas to pull and mob and fight. No adds and if things do get messy zone is just a few feet away. When I was boxing just the Shaman and the SK I used it quite often.

Found this guy by accident. Was boxing 69 Cleric and 58 SK when he warped out of wall while I was trying to chase down runner (caster). If it were not for alot of nukes from the cleric I would have been toast but finally killed him. Dropped Bracelet of Fortitude which was an upgrade for my SK :) Nice reward for a nights work at my level.

today i, 69 druid, solo'ed this mob. he will NOT root or snare and he SUMMONS quite often ... needless to say it was a fun fight. dotted him and kited him at the ME zoneline, keeping at least one good dot on him at all times, run when he summons, heal when low on health and hope u channel thru his hits. max hit was only 200 approx (1150ac druid) but he has quite a bit of hitpoints. fight lasted about 23 mins and he dropped Bracelet of Beauty

EDIT: fyi, i have no UBER gear (all slot type 7 - mostly bazaar). the only buffs used were self buffs in addition to KEI. my unbuffed stats are approx 3500hps/5300mana, FT15 from gear (thanks OOW!!), and 140aa (mostly healing). just dropping this info for any other druids who may wish to attempt Dralkenr

So i have soloed this dude countless times just to farm gear, but in all the times i have killed him, i have never seen a bracelet of comprehension drop(+15int). Quickness and Sense seem to be his rare drops, and Beauty seems to be his common drop. Anyone seen him drop comprehension recently?

two-boxing a 57 beastlord and a 57 shaman with a 55 cleric helping out (Thanks Fennelle). Took about 10 minutes to kill this guy. Has a ton of hitpoints and he dropped bracelet of comprehension. 3 wisdon users and he drops an int item, figures.

Solo'd with a 65 beastlord. Wasn't all that easy, not the greatest gear, 2 ornate armor pieces, but stats not all the great. Just make sure you have all your buffs up 'before' the battle. And watch the enrage! Took about 12 mins to kill him.

65 Bard Kited, 52 Cleric spot healed, took a while, dropped bracelet of sense, nice new Bracelet for the cleric =P
Easy fight but long
# Aug 07 2004 at 11:10 PM Rating: Decent
This mob is an easy solo for a level 65 beastlord that is pre-elemental equiped, the fight took me about 20 minutes but overall was very easy. I ended the fight with 50% mana after deciding to paragon myself. The gimp gave only 2% AA exp...

The worst part was sitting down and getting hit by rampages but the rampages didnt occur that often. If your a pet class though at 10% he enrages which will kill your pet quickly if you are not careful. Out of about 5 slow casts only 1 was resisted.

Beast/Druid Duo
# Jun 20 2004 at 9:19 AM Rating: Decent
Took him out the other day with my 63 Beastlord and my buddy playing his 60 Druid. I fully buffed my pet and went to the safe spot in the hall near ME zone. The Druid then went to pull Dralkenr and as we guessed he got an add. So as Druid zone to ME, I picked off Dralkenr with slow and he aggroed to me in the corner. ( the other gantru just walked on by ) Druid came in and he DoTed with Winged Death / Breath of Ro , nuked with Moonfire(1000 DD I believe) and kept regen on pet. All I did was keep mob slowed with my 50% / DoT with Scorpion Venom and of corse heal my pet. Judging by how much DMG the nukes would do I'm guessing he was about 30K HPs. The fight was very long and he enraged SEVERAL times so when he did I simply walked into aggro range(to keep him off pet) and when he stopped enraging I would get out of aggro range. After all was said and done he dropped the 15 Wis bracer and we had about 50% mana left. VERY FUN, I remember when Luclin first came out it would take like 3 groups to take him out !! Good Luck

Ohh forgot to mention he does hit for 195 max and occasionally doubles.

Not sure it would ever have taken 3 groups to do him... Turgurs has been around since Kunark, and that's all that is really needed to take him easily.

Done him twice recently with a 61 Shaman tanking and a 61 Druid for DOTs and heals. Had to reslow once, and slow ran out again at the end, so must have taken about 12 minutes or so. Didn't bother with malo, and had no resist problems at all. Just used pox, bane and winged death with the odd moonfire thrown in. A bit of torpor/canni for mana and had the 61 regen up also.

Shaman has horse and we had C3 but only average gear (elysian, one or two bits of ornate etc). 61 pet helps dps, but I'm sure a few level 60 Luclin era characters would have no problem with him.

Some info
# Jun 17 2004 at 4:13 AM Rating: Default
He drops 1 bracelet at a time I believe. Shaman slowed he is insanely easy. 65 Elemental monk tanked him and I don't even think he needed healing. He does rampage.

This guy is not hard solo if you can slow. I solo him on povar every chance I get since his bracers still sell great =)

You can pull him - slow and kill - other then the fact that he has a ton of hps so a bit long of a fight - he is easy ;P

He spawns about every 8 hours =)

Good luck!

I have been soloing him as a 65 mage and it is right down to the wire every time. I have 56 AA's, FT 6, mana pool averaging 4300, horse, using Ward of Xegony. I really have to be at full med to take him. I heal pet with Planar renewal and toss Blacksteel as I can, Firebolt gets partial damage due to fire resist apparently. 3 encounters have yielded 1 STA bracer, 1 STR bracer and one death by summoning when my pet died and I was oom. Will pull him as close to ME zoneline as poss. next time, lol....
Chanter / Druid duo.
# Jan 29 2004 at 2:53 PM Rating: Decent
Me a lvl 64 chanter and a 59 druid killed this guy today. This is how it went down.

Druid pulled "A Gantru Moktor" for me to charm. (Mob was snared, tashed, charmed then hasted with SoV) After pet was made "Gantru Dralkenr" was pulled. Pet was sent in and druid kited around him till aggro was broke. Got him to 40% first time charm broke, it was nasty ... I got summoned and Arcane Rune didnt last long. Both of us zoned aggro and healed zoned back in and pet was still standing there. I recharmed pet and druid pulled him again. This time we got him to 20%, charm broke again and I was summoned we did a quick zone out and back in. Both him and the pet were there this time, but he was at 70% life. Recharmed pet fast and sent it in. I was hoping that the charm would last this time because tash and snare were both gone. After he got to 10% we both nuked till till oom.

He dropped "Bracelet of Quickness".
Monk is happy!!

Take this guy down normally 5+ times a week solo with a bard. Very eazy but long fight pull him solo or with one charmable add charm it and keep recharming with regen song between charms. When ur pet dies mez him while u run and pull another takes 3-4 pets to kill him cause of his high hp good money / twinking mob.
Fun

Duo'd(two-boxed) with my 57 warrior and 61 shaman. Only buffs were from shaman(Focus of Spirit, Talisman of the Brute, Agility of the Wrulan, Shroud of the Spirit, Acumen, Bih`Li, Regrowth, and Celerity) and 61 shaman pet(level 58 True Spirit with Celerity). Malo, Slow, Cripple, and E-Bolt all hit with no prob. Had to re-slow and cripple 3 times during fight. Enraged at about 15%. Kept shaman up on mana with stoicism/cannibalize between healing the warrior and keeping the mob slowed/dotted. Took about 45 minutes to an hour, but was a fun fight. Dropped the Bracelet of Might and Galorian Flesh.

# Dec 26 2003 at 5:47 PM Rating: Decent
Yea, definitely duo-able (2 box). Did it twice today with 60 BST and 65 Ranger. Must slow him right away and keep him slowed. I let the BST pet tank, kept haste on both pat and Ranger and plinked with Am3 and endless quiver til dead.

Dropped Galorian flesh and Bracelet of Sense both times

Had a good Ole' in the face fight with this guy, solo'd him at lvl 65 it was a long *** fight, he has a ton of HP, but he does'nt hit hard. I don't think I saw anything over 200dmg land on me, reslowed and recrippled him once. The 1st time I pulled him I turned around at camp left of entrance to see I had picked up an add so zoned and set-up again. dropped the Bracer of Quickness.

With my 61 Shaman. He was just outside the entrance and I didn't know what he was, but he was blue... Pulled him with slow, no summon. Tried to root and freaked when he couldn't be rooted, so ran around 'til the mutt got aggro. Used my Spear of Fate (Epic) to DoT him and had to slow him about a dozen times or so. A friend showed up half way throught the fight because I wasn't sure I could do it myself. She laid a few DoTs in him and a few DDs but I had him handled pretty well. He wasn't very resistant to magic at all. He rampaged a lot but never really hurt me too bad. Basically an easy kill and dropped the Bracer of Fortitude I think. Fight took about 30 minutes. Slow ran out about every 10% of health he was down. Quite a fight, but no danger. Kept the puppy healed with Torpor. Fun time!

Duo'd this guy with a 62 Druid and myself (63 Bard). Just ran around hitting him with slow and DoT's. When I was summoned, I would just continue running in a circle. When health got down to 50%, Druid would heal me. Very easy for the reward :-) Nice INT Bracelet.

Duoed him today with relaively well-equipped 65 SK, and 58 cleric (me). Couldnt slow, so I hit him with Mark of Retribution and Mark of Karn. Very nearly went OOM. Dropped the crappy CHA bracelet, which went to me.

Not terribly hard, just need to be willing to heal around 20% health =(
