Hello guys,
I been hunting UP for some time, Tweeking my Bard, and Ranger. The only time I ever See this named up is when the Server goes down {patch, or what have you}. I have trained the Zone up and nocked it down many times. I have cleared so much of the zone a Newbie could walk around with safty. I kept the Zone very cleared for a day {I say a day I really mean 16 hours Strait} and the bugger didn't spawn. I started to do another day of clearing the Zone but my bags where full, and I needed to get ride of the PP's I got {over wieght}, but I went back and kept at it, till I got sick of it the next day.
Basicly theres nothing to kill in the whole zone to get it to spawn. So How do I get it to Spawn? What does it take? The only way to see it up is to be the first in the zone and kill it than when the Server is up?
I kill Doom, and Rumble in UP alot and there is other drops for neck, but I really want to get this neck item for these 2 too. So any Help here guys be nice.

to get this guy to spawn is SOOO simple... you wait, 3 days... because that is his respawn timer. the only reason you see him up after server resets is they reset timers. and they are spawned. so just come back in 3 days after you kill him and kill him again if you want. it seems people have been finally finding the awsome twinking power of the UP zone drops, so he will likely be on farm by someone else. so you may not find him, or you might get lucky, and he is a cake walk, my 70 BST and 68 druid take him down without breaking a sweat.. and no, i am not time/elemental/anguish, all my gear is stuff you can get with a single group. killin stuff

Read a lot of posts on some uber people soloing him. I finally went for it, at the time was 70 beast with not even 100 aa, NO 69 - 70 spells and about 5.5k hp unbuffed. Only epic 1.0 etc.
Had Tenacity / self buffs, clarity X potion on myself - pet only had my buffs. Had to run and zone a few times to get him single but once I did it was pretty easy. Spent about 40+ minutes on the actual fight, used a LOT of heal potions, like 15 i think.
Made pet tank a few times while I healed up, had to pop pet LH and every disc I had. Finished the fight with 8% mana 40% hp, dropped Bracelet of Might and the FT 2 book. No scimitar yet =(

Some named mobs have certain spawn locations, but many are random "boss" mobs that can pop after killing the normal mob type. So any "A Gargantuan Zelniak" can spawn Zelnithak.
I killed the non-named zelniaks for about 3 hours and never got him to spawn, i dont believe you can spawn him.
I have read through all these posts and not once did anyone list this suckers location. Not everyone is a tracker, so it would be nice to know where he spawns.

Epic'd 65 Ranger (Utdaan Twoswords) with 65 Druid (Dwin Gamgee), VT geared, nothing Elemental or beyond (Mac server only has through PoP).
Easy single pull thru the zone, slowed in the first 30 sec of the fight and Earthcaller kept slow up for the rest of the fight. Druid thought we were in trouble when he was at 70m and Zel was at 86%....till he decided not to Dot anymore =P Was overall an easy duo, although roughly a 15 - 20 min fight (I forgot to log the fight)

Killed him yesterday on Cazic with a 70 Paladin (Myself), 70 Shaman and 70 Ranger. Fully slowable. When he was slowed I kept myself healed with HoT, if that tells you anything. He's incredibly easy. Dropped Curved Lunar Scimitar, Globe of Endless Energy, and a bracer.

He has about 225,000 hps. I parsed the damage with a group last night (66 warrior, 67 cleric, 61 warrior and necro, 62 druid, and 65 wizard). Took us 16 minutes to finish the fight.

Soloed him today. plus 1 add .. killed add first and potion healed for most of the rest .. high hit was 301 but did flurry .. Texvu pally .. long fight due to pally **** poor dps .. took 23 mins .. dropped a tomb , bracers of fort .. and medallion
killed him today super easy with a 70 BST that isnt even elemental and a 68 druid that isnt either. pulled him to zone with druid. relativly easy after a few zoneing to loose adds. and basit fight, pet ate rage.. resisted almost every if not every AE he dished out.. ended fight with druid at 80% mana because he nuked at the end of fight

Watched a 70 druid (personaly) solo Zelnithak. I know you all think im lieing, i couldn't believe it either... i KNOW he was solo'ing him, cause it was only me and druid in UP, and i was NOT helping him.

killed him yesterday with a few friends was easy but took about 20mins dropped the fists, tome, tooth and bracelet of sense we had 70 sham 66 cleric 64 rogue 66 war and 53 druid (me) i got fists for my beast and tome for my druid was pretty cool the fists are awsome

70 beastlord 12k hp 350aa , the biggest part was pulling him alone in tunnel, but even that isn't too hard to do.
Slow landed on every attempt, with 300 resists unbuffed I got hit by Umbral rot twice over the 15-20 mins it took to kill him.
I think I had to heal myself 3 times during the fight, he does flurry alot (big deal he hits for 300's /shiver) Feral vigor combined with Growl of the leopard were enought to over regen his dps.
he dropped fortitude bracer, scimitar and medallion.

Well sorta... I soloed him down to 35% easy then some people finally showed up to help me kill him faster got him down to 10pct with just a wiz helping do some dmg faster but someone aggroed and dmged a shadow guy and he summoned me out of the zone and it regened back to 50pct which i soloed back down to 40 and others joined back in and we killed him. Really easy just takes a long time to solo.

Killed him yesterday, just me 65 Mage with earth pet and botting a 70 shammy. Long fight heh but fun, dropped the fists, sta bracelet, and the Medallion.

wasted him the other day with 7 peeps. 70 shammy 645 sk 63 druid 64 cleric 57 cleric and 61 ranger...was over kill noone ever got below 70% hp...pulling him pissed me off though....Druid pulled the mob sees invis so you just get close and when he runs at ya u run away and keep your invis on....however there are some see invis mobs in UP so i kept getting adds....well i would gate then SK would try to tag....problem is that Zel would DART off once i gated and SK didnt have time to cast a spell to aggro him annoying as hell...and he generally sit in the middle of the zone so its a long *** pull to Zone line....took over 12 min to drop him. Finally I just got lucky and single pulled him....he dropped 2 mediallions and 1 bracer of quickness..../sigh no tomb
Zelnithak has much more than the 100k hps someone else mentioned.
25k in nuke damage took it down to 90% health, so around 250k. Didn't appear to have much if any in-combat health regen.
It usually doubles only, but it can and does flurry often.
Max hit was 399 on me, with 1% shielding on items.
Zelnithak is unsnareable. Summons too.

Aight, me and my friend had a VERY ineresting fight with him, the first time I (65 druid) pulled somehow with no adds, the mage was not prepared to heal and only had 1 heal out(very slow recharge) so i zoned when he got to ZL just in case we had any adds, now my comp is slow, so i zoned out and zoned in while mage chain healed his pet, when i got back in his original pet was dead, after i got 1 heal off i died due to agro, while i was dieing the mage summoned his suspended pet, i died and was bound in UP at ZL, looted corpse used my mod rod, i started healing (with no mana regen buffs or time to med) during the fight i stayed at about 30% mana i healed while the mage chain healed the entire fight , it lasted about 30 min but at 8% he rampaged and we were not rdy and died, we attempted again with buffs except i didnt die and we were prepared for rampage, 2nd time we did np whatsoever (i was fully buffed) and mage actually nuked, we did np fight lasted 20-25 min

hes cake... solo pulled/dropped him the other day in about 15mins dropped the FT 2 book and the orb.. was fun since he use to pick on me ages ago )
New update, all i did was slow him and use the Oow chants on him while meleeing, chants did around 160 per tick with epic 1.5 and AAs, and had buffs on me. Dropped scimitar which i looted with my druid.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but his AE stun can be interupted. It has a cast time. The 350 AOE DD cannot, however. His max hit is 400 with flurries. He is magic slowable with Malo and Turgur's Insects. For a 65 Elemental Monk, 65 Druid, 65 Shaman, it was a LONG fight. He has a crapload of HP. The hardest part is pulling him to the ZI if that's how you choose to do it, it took awhile to get him single... we ended up pulling him with around 10 Dark Asassins... Then 5... Then finally him with 1. We zoned, came back, and he was walking in the wall trying to path out of the cave it seemed. Anyways, good luck with him, he can be somewhat difficult.

i killed Zelni this morning with just my druid (65.47) and my Beastlord (65.81). was a long *** fight ( took about 40 mins) but wasnt that bad..if you got c5 and paragon, resist the stuns on your healer and use the beastlord disciplines its a walk in the park ( very long one though). i had fm on beastlord and 20m on druid when he died.
