These are a triggered "trap" which are at fixed locations. At ends of corridors which open into large cavernous rooms and some around the VaDyn spawn on the jagged white concrete ruins before entering the corridor.
Found a Spell: Epitaph of Life on one of these. They also drop smithing stuff like Iron and Russet Oxide, Charcoal, Shade Stones, and swirling shadow.
These don't summon. Have only about 10k HPs. Hit for 157 double at a pretty slow rate. They have low atk as well. I can tank them easily as a Shaman with 950AC.
I've just been destroying the Roudy Rubbles and Shade Rocks as there's no known use for them.
