Did Thought Horror Overfiend 2 days ago on E'ci. This is what I saw during fight:
He is permarooted in the middle of the room. His AE effects DO STACK, but you can still place casters behind the post to the right of him and they do not get hit. His AE does not appear to be on a 30 second timer, both AE were firing more often than 30 sec. His melee damage is not that great. Our make-shift healing force consisted of 5 clerics (3 of which below 52) and they had no problem keeping our tank alive. He is slowable, but the elders in his room are not. The elders melee for 500s. During our fight we had 0 adds. His resists arent that high, slow landed first shot and the wizard there had no problem with resists (both shaman and wizard 65).
The fight took about 10-15 min and we had only 20.
After reading through these posts for information I just wanted to add something. There was a post I had read that said the 2 curses will not stack on you and I had totally missed the one that said they do stack. Well, I would just like to clarify for those that want to try this mob that tonight the guild I am in wiped to him and can vouch that both curses do stack, and your clerics will run out of mana fast from all the fizzles that this curse brings upon you. Next time we'll have to try that idea someone posted that clerics should be behind the pillar thing.
My guild just tried to kill THO and we figured it was going to be fairly easy from the intell we had collected. I think THO has been revamped recently tho. This mob now hits for 788 and flurries alot. Might want to update all your information accordingly.
What not worth killing, he drops a FT III Helm, Very nice Nuke for Wizards, and lots of other things, not easy to get, but just cause a Mob is hard doesnt make him not worth killing, just makes it more of a challenge which makes it more fun.
Hardest part of the whole raid is getting to THO, and killing THO fast enough before the elder thought horrors respawn.
Elders are unslowable, cannot be charmed (even with CoD), hit for 500s. You will end up with 2/3 in camp if you clear fast enough, hence tank mezzing is recommended. There are about 12 you need to clear.
THO himself is not that difficult. He is slowable, he has approximately 500k, he hits in the 480s, and is perma rooted.
THO uses two AEs: Overfiend's Fury which is a slow and 100dd. The other one is Feeblemind, which is will make you fizzle most of your spells. Both of these are curable either via cleric RC or the druid cure.
In THO room is there a pillar to his right. Shrink your clerics and stick them behind there so as THO doesn't have LoS to them. When he casts feeblemind, your clerics will show as if they had it on, however, it's a fake version of it, ie: your spells will cast fine.
He's a long fight. With 30 people it takes us about 18mns to beat him down.
EDIT: Forgot to add. THO has a single target fear.
Latest patched has this guy buffed it appears, took guild by surprise. Both AE's stack and seems to have a little more HP. Thought of him as a long fight before? Add about 20 more min atleast.
The THO is the only MOB in game to my knowledge that drops the Elnericks Electrical Rendering spell (1895 dam opposed to sunstrikes 1695 dam). Its the upgrade to our Sunstrike and this spell is definately on my to get list :P.

Just took this guy down on Torv. Fun fight, but I am not kidding when I say he has like 600k hp. I did 40-50k myself as a wizard, and only 1 of 50 there. The trick is to get the right AE on you. His slow/dot (overfiend's fury) and fizzle spells(feeblemind) don't stack, so make sure all casters have the slow and vice versa on melee before fight, easy as he is perma rooted. Then engage, but watch out for repops:)
OK. I'm assuming that you meant 1 of 5 (not 50) wizards there. If you were 1 of 50 there doing about the same damage, I think your math was just a BIT off. 8^)
Was just thinking about about the fizzle factor and Spell Casting Expertise. What SCE does is makes it impossible to fizzle 52 and below. Does he have high MR? If its low I imagine Tears of Druzzil would be the best bet, or Draught of Fire if he does. Then again there is always mana burn and insta death, but take one for the team. Don't know how other casters are gonna deal with him but thats the order I'll do it, not gonna bother with lure.
Bad-***. He drops great stuff, we all know that. I would have great fun just confronting this beast, and being apart of the operation that brings him down. If yer ever looking for peeps to battle this guy, send Larse a tell on E'ci.
