Over the last two weeks we have killed over 12 raldukons and still nothing but helm and charm thing. He is still a relatively rare pop, but I think the other armor has been removed from his drop table or maybe a mistake was made in his loot table when the umbral nerf/change was introduced.
Yah he summons. Not that hard a fight if slowed, but he's more mr than the typical mob and I know I needed malo and tash almost all the time to slow him with ease.
I recently won a helm, and it is tradeable, many of the other items are tagged no drop. Do those still drop, or is the radulkan now a helm dropper only?
Also....the BP..... Somehow it didn't get into the item lists. So I'm wondering if all the armor but the helm is gone (seen a bunch of helms... nothing else).
Anyone seen the other items drop since the ranger nerf?
From my experience, his spawn is totally random. He can be seen every 30 minutes to 3 hours or longer. Same with the hive fiend. The fallen sergeant seems to be more along the lines of 5 hour spawn near the NW corner.
As far as info, raldukan has somewhere around 35-40k hp. My parse logs show 31,360 in melee damage. Our group consisted of pal, pal, sk, rog (me), cle, enc. The logs do not show damage done by the spells so I would have to estimate. My logs only show raldukan max hitting for 142, bash 30, kick 31. Have him slowed asap. No matter how long you wait, the slower will get aggro and get summoned hehe. Crippling also helps against any of the big high ac / hp apes. The mob did a total of 3685 in damage to our group, a whopping 19 DPS.. piece of cake once he's slowed.
Paladins and SKs do an excellent job in holding aggro here. I've consistently grouped with a 54 paladin here and very rarely does he lose aggro and the mob is on me. I rarely have to use my evade skill to drop down on the hate list (I do it so that the enc/shm don't get aggro).
Slow mob, MA hold aggro, and any of the named mobs in UP are a piece of cake. The only non-boss named mob that I've run into that's a bit tougher is the Dark Master since they are not slowable and they've got a nasty damage shield. Hope this info helps.
Im pretty sure the 3 spawn moktors close to maidens zone are phs for raldukan. Could be other roaming moktors are ph's too, but noticed most if not all our raldukans popped at that 3 spawn.
suure... hes one of the most common of the named mobs that an enterance group can do. not sure on his lvl, i didnt con him. hes the easiest of the named mobs in umbral. to spawn him just slaughter gantrus. umbral ent mobs including named are easy if you have a 55+ group, with a tank, cleric, shaman, chanter and/or bard, and take your pick for the last 2 slots, preferably damage dealers. umm as for drops, ive seen him 4 times, and his drops were a total of 1 charm, 2 helms, 1 mask. he hits as hard as the other gantrus, bout 199 max. gantrus, assassins, fallen soldiers, and pretty much every mob in umbral, including named, hate slow, and will almost always aggro the shaman. its a common joke that i do as much tanking as our warrior. try to wait for tash or malo to be on, especially for named mobs, before slowing. hope this helps.
regarding Slow.... it's been nerfed. It now has a HUGE amount of agro on it, no matter where you go. Had shammies waiting til the mob was down to 70 then 60 percent health in Umbral, in Chardok and a couple of other zones and they STILL got agro'd as soon as they slowed the mob.
Use a pally, Pallies are 100% effective using stun tactics to hold argo, my husband play a lvl 58 paladin and i am a 59 chanter. With him only stunning a mob twice as it comes in and taunting I have only been hit 2 times in about 100 moktors, and I tash and slow as soon as they come into range. Warriors depend on a weapon proc and taunts to pull things off, I die quickly if a warrior insists on pulling and playing MA. A paladin is the way to go, use the duel welding warriors behind the mob, so they fight thru enrages without damage and don't get popped by the higher damage riposits of these mobs. Think about it. If you slowing and getting hit a lot.....time to find a new MA.
Idana 59th chanter Durinal
P.S. our group fights at the zone a lot, and we've found that these guys spawn more as roamers now, not in the group that sits a while and walks in front of the cave. Camped here 12 hours today pulling killing every moktor in site, no Raldu spawn all day today, so if your going in just for these guys, your wasting your time, try to pull a mix, maybe you get a drop. Only drop we got was moktor gloves the 17ac ones.
Our Enchanter or Shaman only got beat on in the Old Revamped Cazic Thule. Now that they fixed the taunt there, a 60 Ranger does the job. This guy was an easy easy tank, there was probably 4chs on me the whole fight in a four person group.
hehe never said we had a warrior as MA. We've used Pallies, SKs and warriors. Almost every time slow is cast - instant shammy agro. MA got agro back almost immediately, but still the way those mobs hit, the shammies hurt.
*shrugs* depends on the night and the fight I guess.
/agree on pallys, i play 56 chanter and tash + slow = HUGE aggro, but with 51 pally as MT last night we did lots of moktors and even named bracelet guy with NP. Pally held aggro very well.
I play a 57 chanter and I think You have been playing with the wrong warriors. I've camped Moktors with a level 60 warrior using a 2hander and he had no problems holding the aggro. Remember that stun only taunts good if it is not resisted and the harder the mob, the more it resists.
paladins in a raid environment at level 58 have 660hp group heals memmed, as well as superior heal. After that (assuming haster in group) its roots and stuns (after buffing group of course). Stun (no dd) Holy Might (65dd) Cease (low level stun) Thunder fo Karana (mana sieve stun) Force (95dd stun) Words of Tranquility (125dd stun)... Now what if YOU were the mob, and you were chained stunned after all of these were casted?.. these spells chain casted for only ONE round (yes they do connect several rounds, multiple paladins in a group is not a bad idea)is easily 30secs of a mob PARALYZED, as in stand there look stupid get whacked on, and do NOTHING about it. Tell me if there is anything more that can taunt a mob more than that? Nukes? yes, for a little bit as it is not constant. I wont bet on it, but a resisted stun is much more than a non resisted stun; when a mob resists a stun for me, there is a better chance i got the mob off the shaman/enchanter/cleric/(ranger!)
I only have three stuns memmed....stun, holy might, and force......and can keep a mob stunned for most of a fight with no problem....it is all in the timing. If you are casting more than that you are just tapping your own mana.
I use stun and holy might for long duration stuns... but if it's aggro I want, it's cease and desist all the way. They use so little mana that chain stunning with them has little effect to the pool (actually GAIN mana chaincasting them w/KEI)
Between those two, taunt, and my divine might procs, I have yet to see any other class consistentantly out-taunt me. If they do I mem stun and throw it in the chain rotation.
As far as I know (been to UP 2 or 3 times) you have to bring your own group. This may depend on your server or not. Seems people are too lazy to make the run to the UP zone invis past the 4-arm witches, etc that are there. This fact alone makes this stuff more rare, plus the things here are like lvl 54+ and tough.
Well, just turning lvl 60 i got a random tell from some1 telling me to come to Umbral so i went, While i was there this guy popped 3Times!!! He dropped 2Charms, Helm, and Vambs. They were all great stats but i have full Skyshrine besides BP so i passed on those. But i did win a MoktorBP which isnt too bad i guess. This zone is awesome with a well-rounded group. (suggests high lvl ranger for tracking)
I love how all the rangers thought they would finally be getting the same kinda AC as the warriors who were also low to mid 50's. They got all jumpy and excited then VI realized what they had done (give rangers a glimmer of hope) and took this armor away from them. Awwww their poor disappionted faces when the GM's handed them the chain version of their new armor. Chain version with less Ac I might add :)
All I know is I woudda been pissed if a ranger beat me a WARRIOR on the roll for any of this armor. I know I'm a ******* to all you ranger lovers but it was so damn funny.
#Anonymous,

Don't be mad because we do everything better than you.. oh except get hit in the head. We learned how to duck. I know what you are saying “Oooo Oooo Ooooo I love to play a warrior it is so exciting waiting for the kick button to refresh!” But some of us do more. Don't get me wrong, I am not bashing Warriors just big mouth morons like you. And don’t worry about us there are other drops just as good or better for Rangers so we are not crying the blues over this one at/all.
I think it's hilarious how all the n00bs here on Allakhazam's go around saying 'rang0rz sux0r, mana s1nk l00zers'. Really shows how ignorant you people are. Where have you been for the past 2 years? Do you base this on anything factual, or only base it on idiotic LOIO spam?
I digress though. Sheep will be sheep no matter what I have to say.
Baaaaah. I mean, errr, amen brother :) nothing like a ranger to out damage those warrior snobs, whose sole purpose in most conditions is to stand there and take it...(admittedly, without them i would be a small greasy stain on the grouond. Ya want a dmg dealer, get a rogue. then get a monk (he's busy pulling anyway). After that, get a ranger... nothing like a rogue and ranger, both dual wielding fast weapons, to carve up nearly ANYTHING like a freshly roasted turkey... All while the warrior stands around and takes it on the head ;)
Delios Shadowsoul Rogue of the 51st dagger and 200 alc tol Officer of Mistaken Identity, Drinal
P.S. all you flamers, flame away. EVERY class is a good class in a group, deny this and i will show you a total noob... (i am aware not every class fits every RAID group, my 2 rogue 2 shaman 2 cleric group not gonna take down a mob hitting for 700+ a round, but you get the idea)
Every class is good in a group. True. But some classes are better than others. If I am just grinding xp on blue mobs like zoneout and Kitchen in Sebilis or Upper Spider in Velketors, mobs die so fast that debuffing and dotting the mobs is a waste of time (cept for maybe slow, but the chanter can do that, he is not that buissy anyway), so shamans and necros won't be able to do as much dammage as say rogues and monks. In UP however shamans rule because they won't die 3 seconds after getting aggro and the mobs have so many hp that shamans and necros can get full use of their dots.
Hehe, I love Rangers. In fact, after 53 Levels of Warriorisms, I often wish I was a Ranger from the get go. Rangers are incredibly versatile and can do something at 50+ that Warriors cannot do hardly at all from 35 on. They can SOLO. While I was sitting around shouting for a group for hours on end, a Ranger in my guild just decided to go kill giants for a bit. Then she started soloing in Chardok. Now shes level 60 and I'm still at level 53. Sucks alot of the time. But then, my guild is always screaming for a 60 Warrior to tank those uber MoBs, and why don't they have one? Because rather than form a group and get everyone XPed up, they choose to solo and then complain when the non-solo classes aren't keeping up. Bastards. <Looks around for the nearest uber guild to join...>
They are a rare spawn when you kill a lot of Moktors/Shojins. We killed about 15 of them, only one had Raldukan Gauntlets and they were always lvl 55 to us with just sick amount of hps (warrior), so more than the lvl 55 rogue Dark Assassin. Not very hard to kill otherwise. Our group is all lvl 60, dru/war/rog/enc and we clean up a lot of stuff, about 20 mobs per rotatioin.
