I used my dismiss summoned spell on all elementals and do damage. So dont worry about the Monster label.

But i would have to use ignite instead of ward summoned if it were a monster and not a summoned

Why is it classified as a monster and not summoned? This bothers me as a ranger, since I ususally fight summoned things, since my ward/expel/banish summoned line of spells is nice. Root, shoot with bow, cast ward summoned, shoot bow, cast, shoot, snare, shoot, root, cast. Doubt it would last that long.

It's just a mess up on the site. I went to twilight a week ago, around level 27. Most conned blue but some were yellow. Hard ****'s for their level. I'm 32 now, around 35 I'm gonna head back there. (have cancel magic now, no more DS from fire elementals mwahahaha) I have excellent armor for my level (703 ac, almost 800 atk, using a wurmy and centi LS) And hopefully will be able to solo aero if he spawns. I'm really scared, the last time I tried soloing an even it was disastrous, but that was straight melee, I've learned a bit about kiting since then =). Oh, by the way, last time I was there, ward summoned worked on the water elementals.

Haha, well i wish you luck then, just don't ding and lose your level. And mind you, not exactly excellent armor(sounds too cocky) just better ;)
