Interesting, though they are undead they will run at low health.
Single Pulls

A lot of questions about single pulls... Use paci or rest the dead and you're golden. :)

These guys are very easy for a 49+ Necro provided you can single pull: I don't know what level that becomes possible, but they all came singly at 52, including the taskmaster.

I wandered in here just to take a look around, so most were light blue, but all I had to do to kill them was pull with Shackle of Spirit (undead slow), send the pet to kill them and then drop on Engulfing Darkness (low-level, low-mana snare DoT) to stop them running too far when low on health. That was it... the lower-level skellies would typically knock the pet's health down by 2-4% in the course of a fight, the higher-level dark blue cons maybe 10%.

When I was lucky and the cave spawned mostly dark blues, the XP here was decent and easy. Unforunately about 2/3 of the time they were light blue by that level, in which case the XP was slow and trivial.

I was able to single pull taskmaster and these guys with a 54 druid, but my 40 necro got adds. You definitely need to use 'rest the dead' to single pull if you're mid level.

I solo'ed my way from 49 to 50 (and a few blues of exp at 50 and 51 as well) just hunting these skellies. It was so easy, I felt I was cheating. They were (mostly) blue up to 52, so I rekon they are higher than level 35. They hit really hard if they are level 35 (unless you are fearing them - haha), and have about 2-3k hp.

If you are a pally, mem your level 9 fear spell, hot-key it, and slaughter these suckers at will. Undead fear is all of 10 whole mana. Once you get the timing down, you won't need to stop to meditate, heal, or buff yourself. They never agroed on me, even when I attacked the Taskmaster.

And the best part is that they all drop a pick worth 6.5pp to vendors. If you keep the skellies feared at all times, you will kill them right as you reach the zone to SH. Loot the pick (they are lore), and run up to the nearby gnome vendor to receive your 6.5pp reward.

Not bad exp for a 48 BST as well. 1% exp per kill. :)

The first two on the right as you walk in will both come on a pull, but not the TM. Without any hp buff but BST stamina I was barely able to take them both, and I mean barely.

I'm not sure why the entire room comes on a Necro pull, but when I subsequently pulled the TM, he came single. Again, with only STA, I was able to take his **** down with the aid of the pooch. I am a bit of a twink (65 Monk hand me downs).

Not sure how the others will come, since I had to log because it was late. I do plan on clearing the lower room and working this room now though. Virtue will help greatly, of course. And when I hit 49, my new pet will chew through these as well. This should be a great hunting place for me for the next couple of levels while I go LFG for a planes or LDoN group.

Yes, they count as undead. More importantly, so does Torkazh. Kick his undead Shissar butt.

I fought these with a 49 Cleric and a 53 Necromancer, I myself is a 46 SK. They were no match at all for the Necro pet and she walked right through them, when I taunted and allowed the pet to backstap. It is also true that to some these are friendly or indifferent, or simply don't aggro, however on our little party they did. I don't know if it had something to do with religion, race, class or whatever, but to some they aggro. That meant that if we pulled more then 3 and I coulden't hold aggro on more then 2 the pet was a goner and the Necro had to make a new one we triumphed, but with a cleric OOM. Also the Necro pet vanished 4 times so this place still has a few bugs in it.

They drop 'A troop 387 mining pick', magic/lore 2/35 1HS.

All were light blue to 55, with just over 2500 HP.

They not only look like Iksar, they are Iksar. Being an Iksar warrior they conned as allies to me, dark blue at 47. I wonder how long these poor souls had to toil on the moon even in their afterlife, being driven on by the vile Shissar taskmaster. He might have escaped greenmist but he didn't escape my blade.
