Buff up with your Ds, skin, str, firefist. Pull with stinging (-100 resist made it rarely resisted. Btw, I had none for 5 lvls with these.), throw in 2 or 3 ignites and down it goes. Remember, melee at low levels will help in the long run.

Also, these have a bright glow around them when they have the Sensate Reishi Eye on them.

Just an update. Soloed a yellow one of these as an untwinked 14 Bard (using a Scimitar and a Targ Shield, heh). Got 2 blue bubbles, had 1 1/2 hp bubbles left. I then tried attacking another yellow one, which promptly beat the snot out of me. Luckily, my prediction about higher level people was right, and they helped me out of the fix. In conclusion, these things are way to unpredictable to camp until you're nicely twinked or are level 16 or 17, or in a nice group.
Tough but worth it

I killed one of these as an untwinked level 14 Bard. Even con, indifferent. About average hp for their level, but they hit like a MOTHER! They must have an attack speed of 20, can double attack, and max dmg I saw was 30. When I killed it, I got 1 1/2 blue bubbles of exp, great for even con at level 14! I plan on continuing the camping of this fellow, although one should be careful of the KoS patog phlarg things. There seems to be high level people camping the Recondites though, and they'd probably help me if I got myself into a fix.
level 12

The Mature Reishi is level 21 to 23. This is after killing several dozen near the SH zone.

Indifferent

I've been through the Caverns with a halfling rogue and a wood elf druid, and these mushrooms were indifferent to both. I suspect they are indifferent to anyone who doesn't attack them.

These rarely conned even to me at level 16. They do not run or bash or cast. The cast effect I believe is a part of the zone. I was only hit by the spell once. I moved and never saw it again.

They will rarely drop a fist of wood. If they have a sensate eye, they will be lit up. Light weight fungus armor is uncommon.

Level ?

At times these conned red to my level 14 BL so the top level must be at least 17.

These guys have a pretty annoying AE spell... did 8 dmg area effect directly around it, and oddly enough, the ae continued even after it died.

My rogue sensed a trap behind one. It spews out purple poison. You can pull it away from the spot and avoid the damage.

Sounds like the fungus in the wall.

Be careful of the fungus in the wall here. If you get to close to some of it you will get poioned for 8hp a time.

That's why it carried on after it died.
