I managed to solo this guy, as a level 60 druid, running him around the zone (note is unsnarable), using Spirit of Eagle to dominate the landscape, and Koadics Endless Intellect to keep the mana flowing (along with Protection of the Glades and Mask of the Hunter) casting only Winged Death (28 times @ max 1287 per throw).
The fight (if you can call it that) lasted just short of 30 minutes.
Good fun dodging and snaring the Stonegrabbers in between.
First time dropped Cloak of Torment, this time Blade of Loathing.

If he was chasing you the Winged Death wouldn't be doing full damage though, only 60% (only 772 damage).
yah we killed him tonight also..but he hits pretty fast but bard i think could slow him..
he dropped a Cloak AC10 str+4 wis +4 int+4 all/all
but his little helpers around the top seem to respawn pretty fast. also when you pull they got the ussallly goofy tracking back and forth left and right . then finally :-)

This guy hits for 175 and fluries... he is fairly magic resistant also and has a fair amount of hp. Took him down with a 53sk, 52monk, 55druid, 56chanter and 52 cleric... didn't have too much trouble, but wasn't a cake walk either.

we found this guy and looks very cool
but we had to evac...he hits pretty fast .and was doing in the 100+s.. but yah we get him next time more prepared..

I have been to most zones in Luclin, and as a mage, have had the pleasure of running from most of them, either not caring about standing there and wasting mana, or just running long distance for my life. So far mobs lvl 5-46 have not summoned me at all. I dont know if being 53 helps any, but I just have not experienced this at all.

the guy is yellow to me at 49 so he aint lvl 45.

Its melee usable/all.. good luck killing him... I had to sow kite.. used my 712 magic nuke.. took him down fairly ez. he Ht's for 700 after that he is weak.

As I found the stair on top I figured I would want to try this guy, being blue to me (55 wizard). Knowing that its an underconn anyways I had a druid buff me up (my resists were pretty good) and would try to pull him off the platform, kinda like the wyverns in CS at SS tower. His HT ate trough my manaskin easily and hit me for another 120 still. Then I found out he wouldnt be snared / rooted. He was unable to resist my clickable debuff for more than 4 tries (staff of temperal flux). However, fire nukes would only do minimal dmg (below 50). Had no time to switch, since I had to gate after agroing other stuff as well while kiting him. He tried to stick clinging darkness on me, which I in turn resisted.

Myself a 55 druid and a 53 necro took him on took him down in 15 min's looted a tournament cloak ac 10, 4 wis 4 str 4 int anyone know what this is worth ?

He might be able to summon, Verant rewrote the whole book on mobs when they released SoL. We havent been over to take him down yet but will try in the new year. So dont say he cant summon just because he is below 51, they have made a few changes :)

Also drops a Crown 12 Ac and 2 to 3 or 4 stats (forget which stats, I lost the roll). IMO the cloak is the better of his drops though the level of the group needed to take him down should easily have a Heiro or better.
Also he is blue at 60 and HTs for 621, with that HT he is deffinatly over 50 though forget the math on figuring out HT damage at the 50+ levels so can't pinpoint his exact level. He has Greater Spire Spirits around him most of which con light blue at 60.
For the effort needed to take him down, there are much easier mobs in Kunark and Velious that drop better equipment, but that is just my opinion.

necro and I ( mage ) pretty much own him every time he spawns, which is around 12 hours. Common is cloak, semi common is crown, semi-rare is blade and uber rare is robe of torment.

fluries for 179, killed him w/ lvl60 pally, lvl57SK with some difficulty. hits hard and fast. high lvl tank and healer recommanded.

Killed him twice got a cloak both times, cons blue to me at 58 but he pretty tough waxs my epic pet really fast with his flurry, but with 1 necros help he goes down.
Am very interested on what else he may drop.

It apears that certain mobs below 50 can infact summon in luclin i learned this the hard way in Fungus grove on a lotus.

well he is right on this ..... owlbears can also summon which really surpised me and they are green to 53
Ditto the Great Saprophyte in Echo Caverns - low 30s wizard type mushroom - and some of the Sonic Wolves in Hollowshadw Moor - also below 40.

Hi, I just wanted to share with you my experience with this fella. I was in a group last night that went up to the top of the platform he spawns on, we were killing greater and lesser spire spirits and this guy pops, so we figure, hehe let's give it a shot. I believe he conned even to me at 49...(don't quote me on that though) We had a pretty powerful group and took him out with no problems (I, 49 ENC was the lowest, also had 58 mage 55 mage 55 sk 52 sk, and 58 cleric) He flurries for about 170, and does it often. He couldn't get a fear to stick on any of us and it took us a while to give him a beat down maybe a minute or more. But, he dropped a Cloak. AC 10 +4 STR/WIS/INT it was all all and i believe called Cloak of Torment...eventually in the place where he spawned, "A Wild Spire Spirit" popped. It dropped a quest item which according to my group is used in Beastlord Quest armor

theres a green to my 55 sk mob in echo caverns that summons.

Myself and a 60 druid friend took him down in a close fight. He was flurrying and hitting me in the 176 range max, more often in the 60s. His fears rarely stuck but he got off a few nukes. The biggest pain was that some of the Spire Priests (or whatever they are called) can see invis. He dropped a 10ac 5wis 5int (close but not exact) cloak that was all/all. I just gave it to my friend.
