Ok he also drops the shard of darkness. it also looks like a toothpick. i was so excited to see him with a dagger when we got him to spawn i almost wet my leggings. however, i had someone do an identify on the shard of darkness and thats all it turned out to be .... ( a shard of darkness) WTF?? is this the greenish metal shard?

The Greenish Metal Shard is used in the Greenmist sword quest.

He spawns just outside the Herb Shack in Chardok on the side that's by the water.
There are 2 other spawns in the same spot. One is a Sarnak Herb Collector, and the other is the Wizened Herb Collector.
The Acolyte drops the Di'Zok Escape Staff as his common drop, some range slot potion that you will wind up drinking anyway as the uncommon drop, and the Greenish Metal Shard for the Greenmist quest as the rare drop.
If he has the shard, it will appear in his hand as a Fine Steel Dagger. He can also dual wield the Staff and the Shard.
Spawn time is 19 minutes.
