I've encountered Snowbeast twice. The first time he was in the mid north west part of the zone in the mountain area, well before the snow. The second time, he was wandering around west of the Kejek village.
I killed this guy 3 times to date. The first time i had a 55 mage with my 46 monk it was trivial to the group. So i really doubt that a lvl 60 would get any loot off him.
it's worthy to note that this little kitty has something of a perma-sow on it too... I was SoW'd and -still- took a beating from it while hightailing to the zoneline... almost didn't make it. Ouchie. Pheyr Dareapyer Trollop Shammy Nemesys Luclin
*WARNNING* Do not let this happen to you! Group of 46-37 killing named beasts in stone burnt 1 space avail in grp. Pally says oooh grab this bard, he joins. Ging is pulled NOTHING drops:( Hey it said this was trivial challenge to your grp. WHAT! He was yellow to me 43 warrior. How is this possible you say? Hey bard what lvl are you? oh me im a 22. OMG I wanted to kill the Pally. So dont let this happen to you pls i missed out on good loot cause of some one else's mistake
No, the Trivial Combat Code is weird. If you have a group, if the target is grean to ANY of the people in the group, it will drop no loot that would have had the high level not been in the group.
I've heard about it happening a few times already. Make sure, if anyone high is in your group, that they are pulling. That way you'll get all blue+ and not have to worry about lossing loot.
Even wierder than that. If you group someone who's too low to get exp grouped with someone in the group, (like a 22 and a 43), then someone in the group didn't get exp, so it says "trivial". His problem wasn't having someone too high in the group, it was having someone too low.

Was blue to a 42, hit in the 90's sometimes, took a while to forget me, after i had to feign, since this sucker has more HP than I can deal with. I just gotta know if he's considered an animal, so my Dr00d buddy can scare the **** out of him...
I took this cat down today with just myself, a 50 Ranger, and a friend who is a 47 monk. We were just kinda looking around there when someone shouted that Snowbeast was up. I picked it up on tracking, which was pretty easy because it was the only blue thing in the zone. ^_^ I took a lot of damage trying to snare, but once I got wise and just feared him he was easy. Interesting how these "Spirit Guardians" of the village resist just the snare style of spells and not much else. Well, I didn't know the backstory behind this guy when I killed him or I wouldn't have, but I'm glad I was able to get the shoes for my Monk friend (who didn't know about the footpads, either). The tiger actually dropped TWO footpads when we killed it, which was nice. We both got one, WOOHOO! ^_^

I started a group. it was around levels 27 to 36. 27 monk, 30 cleric, 36 druid, 30 druid, and a 27 ranger. Once we heard Snowbeast was out. Me and skky when looking for him. Skky got him and Snowbeast ran the wrong way so I got him and brough him to Cat City. We did a lot of damage to him. We almost kill him, but skky died fast. Then the Ranger died fast. Everyone who was their helped us at the end. 2 people who are high levels were grouped. They killed them and they got it. My group took him town to 3/4. The other group killed him and got the exp. Why did they get the exp and loot and we didn't? We took him down slow but then when we all start dying, The monk FD and I was alive medding. I did not die and either did the monk. We didn't get no loot or exp. Just bad Fractice. I heard that he hits for 110 damage for the most. Maybe if If our tank didn't go LD, we could of got him. And Our monk had thorns because Skky thorns the tanks so they kill them faster. What are the stats on the slippers and how much are they? When I was looking for him, I had no dang clue what he looked like. But I heard he was a big giant mean leopard. He was west from the Cat City. He was pretty hard but our monk said get him, get him, get him. So we got him.

Today me(on my 45th pally main), a 45th war, 36monk, 48monk, and 51 ranger killed him, died within a minute, hit me for 96 max i think. The war and i could have taken him ourselves. Dropped the footpads which i won but gave to the monk who rolled the highest, woulda been nice to bring in 4k+pp...oh well, there's always tomorrow
You guys are jerks for even rolling against the Monks. If a class specific item drops the first drop should go to the person(s) who is that class in your group.
Rolling against them for an item you cant use is pure greed.

Killed it twice in the span of about an hour tonight. The first time he dropped TWO pairs of these. They are lore so could only grab one. The second time it dropped one pair. I gave mine to a druid and then looted the pair on the tiger for myself. I got exp both times as a level 51 Druid. I could not snare it. I just feared, dot'd and hit it repeatedly with starfire. It went down fast. If anyone knows the price on these I would love to know.

Name: Snowbeast Type: Animal Level: 40 HP: Around 6K Hits for: Max 97dmg Faction when killed: -KejekanVillage,-Peacekeepers Location: Wandering mob....was found near Village Aggro Range: Very low...I was threatingly and walked up to him numerous times and was never attacked Speed: Slower then SoW Loot: Giant Sabertooth Fang (Common) Giant White Sabertooth Hide (Common) Footpads of the Tiger (Rare) Additional Facts: He will give greenie exp to a lvl 60 so everyone will be able to loot the Footpads. Safe hunting
No way can his level be 39-40. He was blue to me at 51 and kicked my *** hard and I was buffed up well with 2280 hps. Hit's in the 90's. Also I believe no root type spell works on him. (not even snare). Dropped : 2 Giant White Sabertooth Hide 1 Giant Sabertooth Fang
FYI, blue cons at 50+ extend to 15 levels below your level, so a 40 being a blue con is nothing new. Considering he's a "named" mob, taking a beating by him is nothing out of the ordinary eather, depending on your class, equipment and skill.
