The Sporali Moldmaster  

K I am pretty freaking agitated now. I have camped this guy for a week now, at least 4-6 hours a day, Being a 55druid I own the whole floor and most of the time I am the only one in the zone for that matter. What I do know? He has 3 potential spawn locations. the obvious one, wich is pointed out on eqatlas map another one is also thru the hall to the north there is a waterfall and swimming pool looking area, there is a defender that is a potential Moldmaster spawn sight. and the other one is just south of Eqatlas map Island another defender holds as a Ph on that island too. the middle spawn sight(and original one one EQAtlas Map) is the longest spawn pretty close to 2 hours.the Ph's on the middle spawn really vary, anything from a scavenger,miner,defender, the other 2 spawn locations religously spawn the defender pH's. the spawn at the water fall pool is bout 30mins. and the south island is bout an 80mins. I am either having really really bad luck! or there is a trigger that I am missing. Needless to say I have tracking and I can pretty much blanket the entire zone for coverage from middle Island location. I have tried a couple of different kills to see if any effect such as killing evil eye prisoner, janitor, and basically every single sporali on the whole floor. Not too mention that poor little slime elemental, and tons and tons of gobbies. I have had some long camps before such as Bilge Fartham in Dagnor's Cauldron. but I knew that was a ultra rare spawn. However from all the reading I have done on the Moldmaster I was under the impression I could compare his spawning to something Like Quillamane in Sk, yes he is rare, but he does pop his head in at least 4-8 times a day. I kinda laugh when I see clowns like the guy below saying that his spawn time is 2hours and he spawns all the time. I thank you for reading this post. any tips or info specially from u moldmaster spawn guru's would be greatly appreciated as my monkey would kneel down in thanks to you.

I'm a 38th seasoned monk, and here is how my battle with Moldmaster went-

Round 1:
It was very dark and smelly in this place, the Goblin, and Sporali inhabitants seemed to ignore my presence. As I crossed the first floor I heard the Sporali Moldmaster casting spells. When I finally found him he immediatly attacked me, to my surprise he didn't have on his damage shield. After a long battle, the slowness, poison, and damage spells finally over took me(even after using mend), and I finally Feigned Death when he was at 1/4 health, and i was at 50hp.

Round 2:
I left the dungeon and managed to get a few buffs from a nice druid in Misty Thicket: Both Skin Like Steel, and Chloroplast. I returned to find the Moldmaster waiting again, I attacked him, and again no damage shield was turned on. I finally defeated him with 1/3 health left even after using mend.(He had the Sword, so no gloves this time.)

Went in last nite just to look around with my lvl 42 Warrior since it had been ages since I had been there and ran across this thing. He wasnt on an island he was in an intersection of hallways near it and aggroed immediately on me even tho none of the other sporali's did. Didn't have a problem with any regen or damage shield. He dropped a Sporali Defender sword Pally/Sk only 1hs dly 37 dam 17 didn't know he dropped haste gloves, I might stick around to have a go at them tho.

I went to his spawn on my ranger <level 26> and he was on track also he was blue to me ... and ready to attack ... most sporali's are apprehensivly to me. I didnt kill him cause i had to spellslayers castin the Heck outa me with those 180dd spells.
Id say hes about lvl 25

Went in with my 35 wiz and owned him twice. Dropped the shield, not much else. I had 70 MR and resisted most of his casts and blew 300+ DD's at him to kill him quick. Note that I was dubious in the zone from killing EE's in Gorge and made sure not to get any other agroes before attacking him.

THIS GUY WAS A PIECE OF CAKE! I am a 40paladin with a Arbitor Combined Greatsword, and as u no pallys get regen so that basically cancelled his and also he hits in the 40's which is nothing, try soloing a Hill Giant (hit in 90s) they hard.

I killed this guy, he dropped the sporestrand shield, and a blue diamond. He is kinda tough, casted an aoe fire dmg spell similar to some of the lower lvl wiz ones i suppose. I believe it hit for like 28 per tick. Not sure, it was a little while ago. He is pretty tough for his con. But i was surpirsed to see a blue diamond on such a low level mob. I am ignorant.

just wondering i havent been in runnyeye much, plan on takingthis guy out with either my 55 de necro or 52 monk with epics...anyone have an idea on his spawn time and how often he drops gloves?

Hi Fella's I have Killed him at least ten times now I have to tell you I have learned to respect the sow and or the zone, He has a real dmg shield and like the guy said dont go fast go hard you will end the fight allot faster! I have cleared the whole area so when he spawns there is little to no adds. Don't fight the adds just keep on the Moldmaster you will win
. I solo him and yes I am Lvl 47 yet he fights like most 45 mobs anyhow, another note seems the drops are not too regular as he dropped a shield and ruby twice in a row and then gloves twice kinda neat.

I wanted one of these for my new sk twink so i went to find him after invis'ing and running there i (51 shaman) summoned a pet and cleared the room because he wasnt up. i parked my pet in the room and waited he spawned shortly and attacked my pet, so i dispelled him, slowed him and my pet did the rest. game over Moldmaster.

not that difficult to get.
