Sporestrand ShieldWell the other day I decided I wanted to go to Runnyeye to get these gloves for an alt of mine.
It happend to be right after a patch was done.
So as Im working my way to where through the lvl's I came across the Moldmaster, but got nothing of him oh well there is always later. But I continued on and ended up coming accross Lord Pickclaw who drop the BAC the Battlewiz who droped a BAM and the Battlelord I think he was called and got a BALS BABS. I wiped out most the zone getting alot of BA and BI items which I gave to some low lvl's who came in as I left.
So I guess Ill try this place after the next patch and see what happens.

I 35 ranger untwinked tried this guy solo today, he regenerates simply too fast to do significant damage alone, and you better do some cancel magic or his thorns will chew you to death.

39 ranger here,he conned green,figured what the heck...he spanked me,bad.sent me packing.
i found a hole to hide and heal in,memmed cancel magic,gave it another go...spanked again.
tried 1 more time,i barely made it out alive,he never got below 4 bubbles of life.
now i'm no wimp,i can solo hg's and other creatures that con blue and yellow..this guy is tough.gonna try again with a 40 monk guildy helping

We did CR under the cover of superior camoflage. She got her bod and went looking for me and mine. Well, I'm a fool sometimes, but when you find your bod and Lord Pickhisnose is standing over it, you drag that poor, battered corpse away to a safer spot to loot it. Which is what I did. Or thought I did.
Take it to a little room, which is empty, start looting and in comes a foeslicer. He cons green and the greenies have been passing me by all night, so I continue to loot. Mistake! Like gnolls and orcs, if green gobbies see you in a vulnerable pose they jump ya! NM! I got my Nathsar Greatsword and lay into the upstart. Easy? Nope. He starts hitting me with double attack! First set- 19 and 19! Not bad, got most of my armor on. Next set 38 and 49! What the hay?!? This is supposed to be CR, plain and simple, so I have buff spells memmed. No ignite, no stinging swarm, just my 2hs, kick and double attack. Takes forEVER to finish him, but I do. Down a bub only, so everything is okay! WRONG! 2 more of his buddies show up in the little room and I'm running for the outside, again! And make it this time. Pass the Mold Master on the way up, and he hits me with a nasty swarm dot and suddenly my health is shurrrriinnnnking at an alarming rate! Get out to Gorge zone, mem lt heal REAL quick and start doing myself until the dot passes. Barely made it. Druid is still in zone, Superior Camo goes on INSIDE a dungeon!
I camo, go back in, drag corpse to zone line and finish up looting there. )
What's the next step? Kill the freakin' Mold Master! Waylayed to both of us, separately, so we sit on the gorge side, med up to full, buff up to full, med up again and go back in and TAKE the Mold Master DOWN!
I'm the 'tank' (Don't you warriors and pallies scoff!) she's healing like mad and dotting and dd'ing him and I'm doing the same as well as slicing and dicing.
Took about 3 minutes of concentrated carnage, but we took the damned thing down and then left!

Anyways, she's a 34 druid, and I'm a 33 ranger. We sat and waited in the room where the goblin knight is supposed to spawn. Slow spawns, what did we know at the time. So got set upon by foeslicers, foeseers, etc. Finally, we go looking around, got split up ( a definite no-no!) And Lord Pickhisnose found her. I see her health bar start sliding the wrong way and track her down, see what she's dealing with and jump in with everything I've got. He cons blue to us both. So I'm thinkin', "Hey! We got one we can take down and xp from!" Wrong! I taunt, dd and try to dot and snare him. He RESISTS THEM ALL! He goes after my friend, who's running like hell and finally kills her in the water where she fallen. We both had him down to about half health and again I'm thinkin', "Hooboy! Gotcha now!" And with revenge on my mind, I layed into the sucker! But wait! Not half health anymore, and no! Not down to one quarter health! FULL HEALTH BAR! And I'm already down to one half myself, again I'm thinkin', and this time more truthfully and accurately, "I'm gonna die in here!" Well, like the saying goes, "Don't run, you'll only die tired." And I did. )
My friend and I took a little trip down to 4th lvl last night and came away bloodied a bit, one death each, and with a new respect for the crits down there.
i'm a 48 rogue and a 27 ranger and i tryed to kill him but he got us both i lost my lvl. went back to get my corpse and forgot about a rez and looted everything and i had lost my lvl grrrr. so i was 47 when i repoped in RV i got a 55 ranger to buff me while pulling the rangers corpse i saw the ******* again. so i stared smackin him and i did kill him but he did take me down to 1bub. got the stupid shield was hoping for the gloves but hey what can ya do. In summery lost a lvl got a crappy shield i can't use

Hey everyone just want to know his ture PH and hes not that hard at all im a 53 shaman and my pet was fighting like 3 or 4 at once so i went up and took at a look to see if he pop (i was the only on in the zone so it was ok to kill all the golbins) i ran around up there made a turn and there he was agro on me right away didnt hit me hard only like 40-50s so it was ok pet kill the rest of golbins, so he came up and killed him in like 20 secs while i sit there after he was dead i looted him and olny found the sheild (im camping him for hes gloves for my twink out war Sanelorf) i been camping him for 4 days now only pop ONCE!! so...

BAH!! Ive spent hours upon hours in there. The only thing Ive seen drop off those darn sporali's is ONE set of gloves. Ive been going there for ages. I kill off the whole entire zone too.

but twinked enough so I dont need better gear till 46+..anyways I am wondering if I can take out this "Moldmaster" dude. He sounds like a wussah. Anyways....I guess I am gonna find out since im gonna camp him soon. but any tips or advice on how to take him out would awsome also.

I just killed him yesterday 3 times! He has a placeholder, named "Sporali WORKER"! I killed the Sporali worker and after 1 or 2 hours the Sporali Moldmaster was up, first time he spawns at the exact place as the Sporali Worker, and sometimes the moldmaster wanders to the other platform (by the water) There are 2 platforms, so you have to look.

Killing him:
First of all, get FULL mana and FULL health! :-)
Maybe you need backup help for heals or get high lvl buffs (sometimes he hits hard and very often, you will see maybe he has the haste gloves) anyways i killed him 3 times and it was enough, im lvl 51 and it was hard because sometimes he resisted my lvl 49 root spell *lol* couldnt believe but it happend :-)

I am not sure how many hps this guy has, but when he casts, he sure as heck smacks hard!
I tried soloing him and came within an inch of my life, he resisted snare and root over and over. Then I had a lvl 51 warrior friend come in and beat him down and he still wasn't what I would call a push over. My word of advice is just "be Very Careful" Even though he may con green doesn't mean he is all fluff.

The moldmaster is not 30, he is level 25, conned him on two spearate spawns last night.
He also appeared to despawn at one point over the evening, which I have observed before. (I appreciate that the alternative hypothesis is that he went beyond my ranger track range, but I'm fairly certain this didn't happen).
We were fighting on the 4th level, so we did not kill any placeholders.
We did decide to take him on and lost miserably :) Although he came with a defender add.

He has an AE proc called Mort Fungus. He also is a Druid, casting Creeping Crud (level 24 druid dot). He didn't hit very hard, but over the 90 seconds of our fight the 500 odd damage we did to him did not have a noticable impact on his health bar. It was his nukes that did the damage to me.

i soloed this guy no sweat the other day! i didnt bother looting because i knew i had better, he coned even to me at the time, full health and mana! thank god im a beastlord! i let pet do most of it, CH'ed him alot, jumped in a few times to hurry along the fight. Im not uber, just a little twinked. Mabye this will help any BST hunting in runnyeye.

Hey I am a 33 Wizard on the Vazaelle server, do you think me, a 32 druid, and maybe a 28 paladin can take him? should we wait till i hit 34 for new spells? can just me and the druid take him or do we need the pally?

A few days ago i was sitting near the fountain outside the bank on the lower level. I was medding with health and mana both at about 80%.
Suddenly i'm being assaulted. First thought is that a gobbie had popped. No big deal, i turn to fight and meet the Moldmaster pounding on me. I was alone in the zone, so he wasn't trained down there. I've killed so many Sporali that i guess they hate me enough now to aggro me thru the floor. Armed with a Wurmy and shield, I pop him with a couple cancel magic blasts and then start slashing and bashing. It was a long fight. He casts quite a bit, a variety of nastiness. One that i particularly remember was a strength tap. he cast it on me three times, each time it seemed to injure him as well. It took my strength down about 25 points. about halfway through the fight his regen began to get aggrivating, so i put away the shield and Wurmy and pulled out my Argent Defender to finish him off and his sporelings. ended up with about 30% health and 20% mana left. He dropped the sporestrand shield and a opal bracelet. Bracelet has no stats and i can find no info about it. Merchant offered me 67pp for it. Anybody know more about the bracelet? Two days later i got a sporestrand shield off a Sporali Scavanger, and a while back a defender blade off a Defender, so the loot distribution is kinda wierd. I'd love to see the gloves drop off a miner.

The opal bracelet is just vendor trash. You find that random jewelry stuff on higher end mobs from time to time. Congrats! you just made 67pp from one kill. Have a great day.

Waitin' for this dude to spawn today and figured out his PH is a Sporali Defender...The one that spawned was a lil tougher then the wandering ones but that could be just me.

Think killing the guppies and sludge whatever guys in the pond might help the spawn. THe big snakes. Anyway a tip for ya, when you kill the janitor he drops a vile substance which is a thrown item which casts something (disease I think) which cancels this guys regen. I've only ever seen this guy once in about 12 hours IRL of farming this dungeon. I can barely solo him as a 45 monk with mend up, but my equipment is not so good.

The gloves are 9% haste. This is according to Magelo, and Magelo is 100% accurate for haste percentages on items that are of a fixed amount (not level based).

myself, 35rng, and my buddy, 41rng, decided to take a trip to runnyeye. we had never been there before but he wanted soem BA armor for his pally. In anycase we headed to fourth floor where we found the battlewiz and Lord Pickclaw. Killed the wiz and without takin the time to heal or med went after the lord. Wouldve killed him but something kept healing him. On our CR as we headed down the moldmaster decided to say hello we had no gear so split up and ran for it luckily we found our corpses and dispatched with him, he dropped sheild and defender. After about 3 hours and a lil revenge later we decided to leave when who should want to say hello. This time already had our gear and made quick work of him. He did drop the gloves which my buddy won. This was pretty much a long story to say yes, the gloves have 11% haste

Hi, I am a lvl 28 ogre warrior w/ 1300HP about. I have a Crystalline SS, and a Centi SS. I can hit for 40's with em both, and I have a full set of Crusty amror. My friend is a lvl 28 halfling druid. He has 160+ wis, and knows what he's doing in dungeon situations. Do you think we could solo him? The two of us. Thanks

Camped 3rd and 4th lv of runnyeye for mainly BA armor yesterday. I could easity sweep 4th lv with my pet and checked 3rd lv often. When I heard 'The Sporali Moldmaster begins to cast spell' first time, I rushed up and got him. Almost exactly 3 hr later, when I was passing it just pop and jumped on me. I got him again. Both dropped shield.
I think that one of his spawn pont is near a wagon between two 'island' rooms. Since I met him there both time. loc is around +190, +20

I have been camping this guy for awhile with my twinkd 27 War and 47 cleric friend. I have killed him 3 times and seems to me tha he has no Real PH. i was down there for over 8hrs....got 2 blades and shield...kinda sukz was down there for gloves. I was realy wondering if he has a PH cause killing those Defender and crap doesnt do anything to make him spawn. (got boring down there, KOS to the Spiori now) OH DEFINATE TIP =-DONT LET HIM RUN, ROOT HIM AND NUKE=- he runs ull be fighting him all over agin cause of his regen)

well like all the other posts in here,the ph is unkown....we(45 warrior,45 pally)been here for a few weeks.Sometimes spawns in 30 mins sometimes 2-4 hours...as the above post says of his spawn points are true....when we kill him(at least 25 times so far)we head downstairs and make the rounds killing everything we can,go back up and check to see if he's popped.......if not we start all over again.Most of the time this zone is empty so its easy pickins for the most part.Blue Diamond was best drop to date for us.all the other stuff as well.....NO GLOVES AS OF YET.....I have seen a few peeps b4 us get these gloves and they do exist...so keep pluggin away as will we.........
