It seems when we were hunting down there last night, some gobs gave us hits to faction and others didn't. Not sure if he does or not but I know I only took a few hits at most in several hours of camping. Does anyone know? Probably enough to lose my apprehensive tag with the banker though. That was nice while it lasted.
I spent a number of hours down ther elast night & noticed the faction differences as well. I believe any with Pickclaw in the name just give the 3 faction adjustments, while the rest give the 5 or 6 adustments if those are what you were referring to. As for the banker, he's ready to attack to me & I can still use him, doesn't attack or anything & I don't have to use sneak (39 Monk). The merchants I have to use sneak to buy/sell but they don't attack either. Of course, any other greens wandering by pretty much still do. ;C)
Figured it out. Since I was not effective killing him, I stopped attacking. When I held off healing until after the battle, I took no faction hit. Silly of me. After my second night, I'm up to dubious with one or two ready to attack. Still can use bank though which is good for all that armor and trading out silver. Convenient don't you think?
The secret to this guy is to melee him. The more you melee him the less he will cast, at least in my experience. As a lvl 40 druid, melee skills aren't my thing but going spell for spell with this guy is something I'd prefer not to do.
I'd cast all my buffs on me and my best damage shield and start the fight with firestrike. From then on in, melee him and only use combust from there (much quicker than firestrike). Some fights he wont cast past the 1st time, others he casts a little more frequently.
Killed him 9 out of 10 times this way. The 10th times I got some bad lag and he let lose with the force shock spell and wiped me out.

spawns and loot in runnyeye are completely random. secret to getting spawns is by Wiping out the entire bottom floor. Have gotten 3 BA medallions in a night off of 3 different mobs. Notice also that Picklaw RARELY spawns in his own room. He is always spawning in completely different places, but your best bet would be keeping the hall outside the bank completely clear to get all 3 named spawns. (4 if you count that little blue guy and his cleric quest drop)
He drops a Black alloy med 5ac 5int 5wis be carful he nukes really fast my 51dru with full buffs went down with 2 bubs of life left so be careful fighting this ****

i decided to get the blackened alloy medallion hearing about it one day in a group, i didnt know everything in "blackened" dropped in runny but killing everything in the zone and leaving with at least one of each type was entertaining. this guy was probaly the hardest. but when i decided to whip out my new spiffy stun spell i took him out in no time. i had to kill him twice for the BA meddalion. it took i believe 3 516 nukes and 1 220 stun. he might of resist one of those nukes, not sure
This guy is nasty he nuked me and a wizzy friend 3 times for 240 my friend was almost dead when i killed him i was down to 1 bub of life and he dropped nothing
well me and my 54 ranger friend went exploring. killing all the named guys of course. didnt know what anything dropped. eventually we ran into him killed him and got the black alloy medallion. i thought it was cool for not expecting anything. i ended up giving it to a 50 druid who needed it more. next time i went in there someone just kinda gave me another one.
My guild has been holding an event in Runnyeye for a week or so and last night a few of us encountered this guy. Our group consisted of a 32 pally,30 bard,28 ranger,27 wizzie, and myself 31 cleric...anyway this guy smashed our bard in 2 pops! He blasted our group with a 240hp dmg spell several times! He was almost deaed and "poof"....he was invisible! Our ranger quickly started tracking him and we met him in a hallway where he had just FULLY healed in 1 spell! Then he blasted our pally about 4 times with that 240 dmg spell and took him and the ranger out in no time. Then he turned to me poor little cleric ...well to say the least "I ran my little HIE legs off!" He blasted me with that spell twice before I was able to zone to the Gorge of King Xorbb. I medded to full and zoned back in and got a high level druid to finish him off.....the ******* didnt drop squat after all that!
dangerous place to run. all those evil little rogues on the 4th and second floor agroe if your health is low enough. I myself have had some close calls running from the mushroom men
It didnt drop anything for me either, and it wasnt because or trivial loot code...as i have seen that in action, when something is on the corpse that you cant get you get a message indicating so ( dont recall exact words). At least thats how the TLC worked on FV (roleplay server)
He is on a much shorter spawntime than 24 hrs. Not sure exact time but it's much less than an hour, probably around 20 min. Problem is that he does not spawn in a regular place. He could spawn wherever. Keep that in mind when you sit camping a room for hours only to hear Battlewizard Unak casts comming from somewhere in the distance... Good luck all. BTW, never got a BAM from him in 4 hrs camping last night. Lord Pickclaw was the only mob that had one in that time. Stay safe.
