Torklar's Battle HammerI took my 29 Shadowknight and my hubby's 27 Shaman to unrest and this guy aggro'd on me. He conned me light blue. The only buff I had was regen, and we got our butts handed to us on a plate. When we died Torklar was at 7% life /cry. Later when my hubby came home, we decided to get revenge and thought "Well maybe if there is someone at each computer it will be easier." So we were both fully buffed and waltzed right in to kill him. Nope, we got spanked, but zoned in time to save our lives. This time Torklar was only 55% health when we ran for the zone, and my shadowknight was 17% when she came out on the other side.
He doesn't see through invis vs. undead.
Did not resist Engulfing Darkness, Ward Undead, Harm Touch, Frost Strike, or Poison Storm, either time. I did not try Fear Undead.
The only good thing to come out of our encounter, was that I leveled up in Evocation 6 times.

Yes he is tough....
My 31 paladine and a 34 enchanter took him out tonight. The pally took quite a beating but the enchanters slow and nukes took him out...
Appears that in melee he is tough but not much resist to nukes...

he is a clone of Garanel, hits for 80 (like garanel) and has alot of hitpoints. A LOT. Probably as much as him.
unrest wasnt really a very crowded dungeon since kunark, but this guy definatly killed it, congrats Sony.
I get this feeling sony designers have less than no clue how hard a level 20 mob should be.
Or rather, Sony boss told designer_01 to add a ghost for the new cleric quest in Kaladim to unrest.
Designer_01 didnt feel like working, just took garanel, copy&pasted the stats of him, gave him a new name and gave him level 20 and put him there. And since there is no quality assurance section at SoE, nobody noticed it
and... nobody cares.

Last night, my level 18 bard and his druid partner got Torklar down to 50% before we had to run. Easily, a group could have taken him.

Actually he isnt that hard Killed with 23 mage NON-twinked and he didnt even kill my pet.

Level 20 Paladin, level 17 Monk, level 18 Ranger and level 19 Shaman had to run when he was at 50%.

I have been hunting in Unrest lately and on several occasions when hunting in the cellar with a group we kept aggroing and then he pulled a train all the way down. Aynone else experience this, and maybe know how to avoid it?
Has way too many hit points for his level. Hits way too hard for his level. Hits way too fast for his level. In other words, do NOT pull him unless you're at least 20 levels higher than he is, maybe more. Myself and two others (22-24 warrior, ranger and paladin) were being pl'ed at the front door tonight by some uber druids, and one of them pulled battlemaster out thinking we could handle it. If the druids didn't keep hitiing us with 500+ hp heals we would have all been dead in a few seconds. Definitely not a mob to pl on.

i am 25 ranger and i almost killed it alone solo style he is under conned but i had half mana so to a wizzy he no prob to a meelie class your dead if i would have had full mana i could have killed hin got him down to 2 bubs hp (the secret is ROOT and NUKE 0 then repeat if you try to mellee him he will knock the -hmmm- life out of you so root and nuke also he has a group of guolls and mummies and skells with him so if you pull him and the rest follow RUN if you get him alone root and nuke

Ok this guy is blue to me, Warrior 22 So I just decided to Take him on, as soon as I entered the little room he was on he Aggroed right away.
I have 719 HP non-buffed and this guy hits for 80 sometimes, hes got heck lot of HP, When I decided to run ( 30% hp ) He was only at 50% HP and I triple 22-29 dmg, so this guy got lots of HP.
Note: If you decide to take him, Take him in the room he is, Because If you pull him anywhere he will bring an heck of a train, the whole first floor. Don't take him on alone unless you are like lvl 25+ buffed

I am a lvl 29 mage who nukes around 200 and DOT's up to 276 i bet it will take less then 5 nukes ot killl htis guy :)

But if you can take him down relatively safely OR easily you should have no problem in unrest. Except for the casting festering hags in the basement.
This is an awesome zone for low levels.

Posted: Dec 18 2002 at 4:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) me and this group was hunting in unrest today they pulled battlemaster and they charmed it and i said to my group i dont think that is a good idea but the idiots said nah dont worry we can handle him. so we pulled from upstairs once but as soon as we all got to the courtyard the charm wore off and the person that charmed him died and me next and then our druid and we did it three times and i said you guys need to stop pulling him and listen to me for once and they why your not the boss of us. so i said your so ugly you made a blind person cry and he said ohh a smart guy huh so the next thing i know thy pulled a train rooted them all then they disbanded me from the group and the ported to the nexus and i got pounded on by the train and i barely made to the zone thx to those ****** and they said now what. and before i could speak they said thats right stay quiet so i said i walked up to the ugliest person and i thought it was you. and i said thats right stay quiet. and they just camped so they also got a taste of their own medicine oh by the way torklar battlemaser is so under conned he cons blue to me but he hits for 80
He's not that hard if you use the right tactics. Send in pet, heal pet, watch pet take down Battlemaster =)

Don't let anyone fool you, he is WAY underconned. He hits harder than many of the low to mid-30's mobs i've been fighting in OT and DS and he takes a ton of abuse.

Best way to deal with this guy is root then DoT. I have watched mid to late 20's Neco's and Druids take him down often using this method.
If you have to Mele him, try to keep him stunned.
He is most often pulled out of the house by other mobs who "run the wrong way" when you try to pull them out. When pulling from the first floor to the outside, make sure the mob follows you closely. This will usually mean taking a few hits.

my lvl 18 monk kicked his but all the way to luciln. this guys EASY.i hade no buffs,no group i was all alone.

As a 18 Cleric I give the tank invis to the undead to look around the inside of the first floor. Hopefully the tank will only pull at most 4 but usually with a good tank we only get 1 or 2 and we can take them outside to the courtyard and fight there. In a group of 4 this works pretty good most of the time. That new battlemaster on the first floor causes lots of problems though.

I was killing ghouls waiting for my heart to drop for my ghoulbane quest this guy jumped me. Im lvl 36 pally and I had to use LOH before I finished him off. WAY UNDERCON!! I would of guessed him a quest NPC.

I was a bard at the 29th song hangin out in the basement with some friends when this guy decides to show up.... I did what I awlays do with powerful adds made him my pet. It takes the bard out of the battle but I did a truckload more damage with him charmed. It broke 2 - 3 times in 15 minutes. My charisma was only about 125 and I was using broken minitaurs lords horn FYI. Our cleric healerd us all up after we sweeped the basement with him in tow, then we killed him rather easily.

im a was a lvl 26 war when i solod him i had to get a heal tords the end but it wasent a majer heal jist 500hp and he didnt give hardly any exp to

Im a 42 ranger, and i cant solo this guy alone without a healer or another tank. He cons green, and I have to zone before i become dog meat.

ever since they put in tork, no one hunts in the great hall anymore for fear of agroing him, this makes roughly 1/3 of the main floor useless for pulling unless you have a higher lvl char to clear him out every time he spawns
They probably put him in because they know a lot of people in their low 20s go there to be pl'ed and they don't want to make it to easy for us.
If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?

I was in a group this evening and we took this guy down - twice. On the second attempt he dropped a battle hammer. Can't find any reference to it on sites but it is 1hb dmg 6 delay 28 magic weapon.

Waaaay undercon, but that's cool if you are an enchanter. As a lvl 26 Chanter, he succumbed to a beguile no problem, and I cleared the first and second floors with him before he was too hurt to do me any good anymore. So I broke charm, stunned, rooted, and nuked. Dead. I love this guy.
The twerp was trained in by a lvl 13 idiot last night on my server. I was playing as a lvl 16 enchanter and my group (14 ranger, 15 bard, 19 warrior, and 17 wizard) with th assistance of a lvl 25 Magician, when this ghost comes to the fountains. Right then, we had just zoned from a mishap with Mr. Dusty Werebat and his friend, a high lvl ghoul, when someone shouted "Train!" I lookedd around and thought "Hmmmmmm......" Suddenly the estate doors opened and the guy died right there! Now, our lvl 25 mage was right there and the guy aggroed on him. He ran to near the zoneline and died. Trying to kill what was left of him, we tried nuking and tanking. He resisted 5 of my 8 sanity warps I tried on him, but soon, our bard, ranger, and warrior died. And when in trouble, casters do only 1 thing: Zone. And thats what we did only 1 prob. At that exact time, another train was called and this train was HUGE!!!! The guy zoned and they all aggroed (Even this ghost dwarf) on my friend. After he died, I zoned in a split-second. Owchies.....

ME and a 21 necro and a 17 enchanter and a 19 wizzy killed this guy the only one that lost HP was me (i died of ourse) but right after i died he died Lol whatluck but ya hes not tohard whenu pull him alone but the thing was 1 of my weapons couldnt hit him because it waasnt magic so that may have been another problem hehe but he personally is great exp also the gnommish spelunker is also good hope this helps!

I kicked the crap outta this guy meleeing and nuking, I am a druid and didnt kite him, I was 32 at the time. I did it 2 times so it wasnt just a fluke or anything

I am a lvl 33 warrior, and this guy cons green. i picked a fight with him and he kicked the crap outa me. i accidntaly picked up 2 ghouls on the way out, so that couldnt have helped. I might have been able to get him if i had gotten him by himself. he did hit for 80 a few times, but he missed me alot
