For any devoted paladins that are still out there doing this quest here is what I found. Jark did not respond until I said "theres something there" then he said his bit and you also need to then say "I will get your dinner" for Nella to spawn. She will not spawn unless you say both. He will say something after it so you know it is correct. Nella spawns by the pool at front of cleric guild. Say "dinner" to her and take the food back to Jark.

Is doing the quest for my little pally, and Jark conned even to level 50.
As apprehensive, I couldn't get any response, except by using the phrase "I will get your dinner", as posted below.

Was apprehensive to me also and did not respond my "hail" or "some" but did work when I said "I will get yout dinner" and Nella spawned. Hope it helps.

Please read CleanerDRogue's message below. It is quite correct and complete. Just saying "some" (as some guides suggest) is not (or, at least, no longer) adequate. As well, Nella is spawned by talking to Jark, so don't look for her before. She does indeed pop at the small pool across from the cleric guild after successful discussion with Jark.
I'm pritty sure faction is a factor now. I'm 71, human pally and when I con him, he is apprehensive to me. When I hail him, he does not respond at all. I tried to just /say Some, but he doesn't respond to that either.

You quite obviously need to be lvl 45 or 46, as that is when you can get into old world plains, and so is when you should start your epic.

I'm apprehensive to him, faction doesn't matter, you have to be level 50+ to get epic mobs to respond to you, that is why on Allakhazam's it states on the reccomended level to do epics that it is 50+
Faction doesn't matter. I just got my crystal with indifferent faction. You just have to say the magic phrases.

Ok I have turned in 300 possibly 400 bone chips to Gunlok Jure in the paladins guild. I have achieved being regarded by him as an ally and i still cant get him to talk to me. he keeps saying something about me killing a few more rats(that *******). Is there a certian lvl that you have to be to acheive success in this part of the epic.

Return to Jark and he will take the food and give you a NO DROP Pure Crystal in return.

Anyone know what level is needed to get him to respond? I'm trying to get a head start on some of the items, and he just tells me I need more xp. =/

Does anyone know what faction Jark is on? He's amiable to me while the other miners are not. Is Jark on a Paladin faction? Just need to know for epic quest, if anyone knows, please say so!

His Faction is Miners 249. The is a quest in the pally guild were you turn in bone chips to a Gunlok Jure. Took about 220 bone chips to get to kindly for me.

I believe the miners are on one of the Miner's Guild (possibly 628)factions. I killed a ton of clockworks in Sol A getting the bricks i need for Ronium to make Ro Armor. When I came back to finish getting my Soil of Underfoot, the miners attacked me. Got invised to get by them to get to the temple.
Glad to see this faction will come back to haunt me again. Thanks for the ***** Verant! /sigh
