Tough Giant

Dropped his head and Breath of Ro. One of the best kites I've had, casting from my thoroughbred drog and beating feet. Resisted snare and root at 41, but kinda expected that. Good luck to all who take on this giant. Massive HPs, just really glad he doesn't summon.
Also drops...

Killed this guy in less then a minute with my pally. He was only on 16% when I found him, checked to see if hes was being kited only to find the corpse of a bard who had tried to kill him. Hit the giant and he started to run, still had a few HP's left too.

I took the Head to Vorken Icesharp in Kael Drakkel and recieved the Vambraces of avoidance in return.

Found the Giant Due North from the GD entrance. Rezzed the bard for 75% to ease my guilt. Goodluck to all and stay safe:)

I took this guy down last night. I used 3 earthpets and an occasional SoS. I just mage kited him a bit until Mudball rooted him again. He hit me a couple of time at 120 range. He dropped his head, which I destroyed immediately.
Giants is soooo stupid.
Just wondering around

I saw this dude and thought why not. So, I kited him for about 20 min until he died, didn't get much exp from him (less than a blue), but it helped having an open area to do this in, just my 2cp 8-D

ROCK ON
killed him twice
# Dec 16 2002 at 6:33 AM Rating: Decent
I killed this guy twice as my lvl 48 bard,
first , I charmed some manticores on him, I "consumed" 3 manticores to drop his HP to 20%
the second time, I tried to chant kite him only.
It took me about 10 minutes to take him down.
So I think he got tons of HP and I would like to save the same to to kill other mobs (I can get more exp )
Great pet

At level 50, this guy was the ultimate pet for me. I've never charmed anything with that many hps, before. He was killing so fast, I couldn't keep up.
a useless head..
# Jun 27 2002 at 6:55 PM Rating: Default
yeah so the fact that I can't use this head (after the LOOOOOOONG kite i pulled on this bish) kinda blows. My coldain faction is so good that it would take too long to get good faction. if this were a really expensive item, i might but 1k? not worth it... If the dervishes hadn't aggroed on me I would have killed him without a scratch, he never touched me.

I saw this giant between GD zone and giant fort last night, and he was dark blue to me (i am a lvl 49 Necro), so i didn't know that he was actually lvl 48. I had the weakest lvl 49 pet i could summon (hits for only 47 max) but i fear kited him. This guy hits HARD for 140's or 150's i think at least. Watch out if you are fear kiting this guy, cause once darkness runs out he runs so fast that it is very hard to land darkness on him again without him running out of range, and he started resisting it a lot half way through. I ended up beating him, but it took me a long time, pet was almost dead, i was OOM, and i had 2 bubs of health left.

Easy but alot of hit points

I fear kite him with a druid friend, i don't know what all she used, but I imagine she used all her dots, along with 4 castings of my dot and the occasion nuke, but he never resisted fear.

hmm he didnt resist my snares hardly at all i just kitted him around and let the coldains beat on him and wehn he would turn to fight them id throw a little dot and another snare and id regain aggro lol did it at 46 and the coldains took him dwn to just uneder 1/2 a bub of life. trick is to know when to root him and let him kill the coldains which he can kill quite quickly lol

I charmed this guy on my first try. I killed everything in the zone with him, solo. I sent him into the giant camp after everything else was dead.
Got summoned by the Kromrif Elite and died. But wow, having a pet with 10k hit points kicks ***. Enchanters are truly the masters of magic :)
Long, but not that tough...

...well, not for a Bard Extraordinaire with 44 Norrys on my mantle already. ;^)

I was kiting giants and what-have-you between the giant village and the GD zone when someone trained this guy on me. Well, I started running him around, and found that yes... The lower he gets in health, the more he resists. When he first hit me, he was about a bub of health down, and I was landing every other to every third song on him. By the time he was at half health, that had gone to about 1 in 4 or 5 songs, and in his last bub it was about 1 in 8 songs that got through. A VERY long performance, but an admirable one... <bow> And for that show, I got his head, a bit over a 'blub' of exp and about 4.8pp. (I keep getting this impression that it was my agent that set up that gig! :^P )

Soloed him today being a 55 ranger. Just summoned about 400 arrows with my tolans bracer and kited him also using tolans arms (stinging swarm). Used Trueshot Disc once. Did not resist once. At about 25 health I buffed up and took him down melee.
Actually for the Vambraces of Avoidance quest

Killed him today as a 51 druid, took me almost 3 full snares and about 40 dots to kill him root dotting. (Wasnt really counting but it was a long *** fight) Had to switch to ES Arms as he sucked me dry twice using Drifting Death and Immolate. Dropped the Head of Ekelng Thunderstone, Tears of Prexus, Giant Meat and some change as loot. No faction messages at all. Something odd, the lower he got on hp's the more resistant he seemed to get. Sometimes resisting root 5 times in a row. When i never had a resist till he got past half life.
