Using the 31+/- hours theory, I'm sitting there right on top of SF spawn point. He spawns a full 2 hours ahead of schedule, I Harm Touched him, dead. He spawned 26-28 hours after his previous death.
Conclusion, find out his last death time and log on 20 or so hours after that and camp him for 10-15 hours (to be safe.) I don't know if there is an exact spawn time or not, but his spawn time was in the general 30 hour area for me, so this seems to be the most reasonable theory.
Something that I did, to keep track of when he spawned when I had to sleep was sit a level 1 ranger at his spawn point with logging turned on. In fact, SF did pop once while I was sleeping and killed my ranger, this is how I got his general death time.
Good luck to all of you other time worn Stormfeather campers.
Total time: 50+ hours http://mywebpages.comcast.net/stormwind/img/sfpwnt.jpg Persistence Pays.
Woot. Never mind, my alt was dead when I woke up this morning and Stormfeather was still flying around in a big circle up on the hill when I logged in with my main.

Nacht,
Could you elaborate on the loc? I know its near the 3 gnomes but not sure where exactly. I parked an alt. on the hill just above the gnomes 22 hours ago and he's still sitting there alive (i'm trying to determine a general spawn time like you did). I'm not at 31+ hours yet but i'm beginning to get worried that perhaps SF did spawn and I was simply sitting too far away for him to aggro me.
My ranger Xamai was parked right where stormfeather spawns for 9 hours before I fell asleep (Xamai already has the eyepatch im camping it for rogue now) when I woke up four hours later Xamai had been killed by stormfeather and was back at his bind point.I got a quick port back to iceclad and luckily enough stormfeather was still up, I killed him and logged to my rogue then looted.
I personally am camping Stormfeather myself for the first time and unsure of his pop location. However, reading other posts, it seems you can sit by three gnomes that are gambling under a tree, and from there be able to track Stormfeather. The location of these gambling gnomes are pos 5703, neg 753. Hope that helps some. GL.
As previously posted I can confirm 100% that Stormfeather has a 31 hour spawn ( or 19hours +12hours ). Exactly 31 hours after I killed him I watched him spawn in front of me. If you can find out the time he was last killed it will save you a lot of waiting.
Been camping this sucka for 7 hours from now, he wont just spawn at all. I read somewhere you can hear his wings flapping when he spawns at the gnomes sitting playing poker. Good luck and Peace.
Slowo 65 sham Blaston 65 wiz Zeroold 51 monk all on Brell serilis.
I decided to start eyepatch of plunder quest, and ran out to iceclad, and HO, this guy was up. He popped on the hill with the three gnomes sitting down...now only 3 more map parts to go!
I am bored with EQ for a while because of work times and guild not being on in the times I played. So I decided to camp SF again with my alt monk. Well I was getting bored so I got all my alts there to play around killing things. Well I was afk with main and went to dinner when I came back SF had spawn but with ripose and my DS he was killing his self more then me. Well I waited 19 hours later no spawn, I waited 30 hours later and there he was. So I got my monk his map and ran and did the other parts. I decided that my war and cleric needs it too so I waited another 19 hours no show. 30 hours later +/- a few mins or so pop there he was. I the works to get cleric her part so I going to wait another 19 and check then if not then 30 should do it if not at work or something. I post more once I find out.
Finally after camping for 60+ hours I figured out his Spawn to a degree. SF was killed at 6 PM by another person camping the spot. I then took over the camp thinking in 12 or 19 or 28 hours I'd check back. Nothing spawned. Finally I fell asleep in my chair and woke up to see my 65 Pally and Ranger twink naked in POK. Sure enough SF spawned and killed me while i was asleep. I checked the logs to what time he spawned. Exactly to the Second, 30 hours after he was killed. Of course I was pissed, but I had read in several other places that he was a 30+ hour spawn. Well, exactly 31 hours later to the minute, SF spawned again. Thus making the 30 hour +/- 2 therory correct. I suggest finding out when it was killed and start to camp it aroudn hour 28. THus your only camping for 4 hours instead for 64. And dont fall asleep =P
You can throw out the theories on those 19 hour spawn timers, with 12 hours if he skips spawns. I camped this guy this past weekend. It took him just over 37 hours to show up (finally popped 1215am PST on Sunday). Cougars did not seem to be a factor. I alternated between slaughtering them for a few hours and leaving them completely alone for a few hours. I focused on killing the cougar that shares a spawn point with SF - he starts from a spot near the beach and wanders at an angle in front of the tree with the 3 gnomes underneath it. While I was camping him I got lucky enough to be able to loot the map piece of Lodizal, so once SF bit the dust I was able to finish off the rest of the quest quickly. Love the eyepatch, but I'm never camping Stormfeather again with my other characters - too long, too boring.
