I know a 60 monk on Veeshan who is the monk leader of a VERy good guild, not sure if they had the force to take Vulak when he was aropund maybe she was part of FoH when they killed Vulak, but she has Abishis rod, and god do i want one, im pretty sure its 40/30 tons of stats and eff that cancells all enchantments, some people look at the eff and think it is a cancel magic, it is NOT, it cancels only the buffs that the target has, leaving the Dot's and other things to kill it, which makes it very useful, and considering the rarity of that wep, i highly doubt it would go to a necro. just my opinion though. class has a lot to do with it, but mainly its your dedication to the guild, your rank and so on... wish Vulak was still around, anyone know if they plan on putting him black please let me know.

My guild raids ToV alot, and getting into NToV is extremely hard, and LONG, i say but getting loot or getting exp says nothing, when your raiding ToV if you've ever been there, its MAD SCARY and its not easy the healing gap is like 2 secs for each named and I wouldn't say anything to people who can't raid there , I went from a guild that zerged PoH to a full twink raiding ToV guild in a flash, it only takes the time to get set up, COMPLETE trust in your guildies and ALOT of time

Someone mentioned in this post about a ring fight to make him spawn. That assumption is in fact correct. It is a ring event that makes him spawn. I don't know the ring as I have never done it, but I did get the word from a GameMaster that it is a ring event.

It used to be that Vulak was just there like any other ntov dragon, but then they decided to change it into a ring event where Vulak spawns at the end...but its broke, he doesnt spawn at the end :/

I think its the 10th ring war in Great Divivde (VELIOUS) im not to sure either, but thats the ring war that i know of that might be close to ToV
You and the above poster are talking about two completely separate concepts. The 10th ring war you mention is for an actual item, the Ring of Dain Frostreaver IV. It's the culmination of the Coldain ring quests. The ring war above is simply a name put to a series of battles. The idea goes something like this:
Trigger the beginning of the ring event, some mobs spawn, you kill. Another series of mobs spawns (sometimes more mobs, sometimes harder mobs, sometimes both), you kill. Another series of mobs spawns, you kill. Get the idea? This goes on until the ring is completed or the raid force wipes, usually by encountering mobs too hard for them or by becoming inundated with mobs from previous spawns that haven't yet been eliminated.

First off Most guilds on every server save maybe 4 ( and that is the benifit of the doubt) Will never even Touch NToV. My guild on the server I play on ( Morell Thule ) is rated 4th on the server and we have yet to touch NToV. We have done Gozz, Telk, Lenny wich are all WToV dragons save Lenny who is the Gate keeper to NToV I believe. Just listing off here to give you an idea of how incredibly difficult it would be to kill this bad boy let alone even see him in your Eq career. You would have to clear NToV ( Wich like I said 95% of the people will never even touch this place ) by this I mean all main dragon spawns who are all lvl 70+ and no easy task=p This is just to say hello to the Lord of ToV much less defeat him. I believe two guilds on my Server have currently done him one of the guilds being a guild that killed the AoW wich is about equal to this task. Just pointing out a few facts here.....Most of us will NEVER see NToV much less even say Hello to this bad *** and even fewer have the privlage to chubb his dead corpse=p So dream and dream good people because for most of us this is all it will ever be=)

Telk, Gozz and LTK are WToV mobs, but LTK does not guard NToV. You contradict yourself. How can she guard NToV if she is in WToV... in addition, you claim to have done her, and yet do not know that she is deep inside WToV guarding the exit zone back to WW.
NToV has a small area at the start which has 2 named mobs of significance. Ikatair and Eash which are quite easy. Then there is a bottle neck which is guarded by one of the more powerful NToV dragons, Aary. Once you kill Aary, you have access to the core area of NToV, which has lots of easier dragons and thier guards who also drop nice loot. On a sort of floating island in the center of this area is Vulak (or should i say was, since he has been removed) At the far end of NtoV is a hallway which leads to the Plane of Mischif zone, and then splits up into 2. One part leads north to a room with 3 more dragons (forget names) 2 of them are easier, and the 1 is harder, and they are so close to each other, its very hard to solo pull one. The other branch leads to another large room with more dragons, and if you continue down the hall you come to a zone out.
You are also incorrect about the levels of the mobs in NToV. We know that some are as low as 63 and 65. No doubt some like big V are 70+

You sir....sound pretty accurate in your information. Wish more like you posted here more often. To the person who started this thread...not bad just got some ifno mixed up and you sound like you honestly were tryin to give good info...unlike some who post here. going into NToV you have Ikky and Eashen you first must get rid of along with some of there guards. Then like said before, you have only one way to go...that is towards Aary who really is the "guard" to the rest of NToV and where you really get into the other dragons of that part of the zone. He is tough...we are still working on tryin to kill him. There are other guilds on our server who can kill him, and for now if we fail we must either try again or wait until Aary is killed so that we can move by his spawn point. As to Vulak himself....this is where I dont know a lot about it...but I have heard there's something like a ring fight to make him spawn now? That is what im wonderin about : )

It takes some pretty dedicated raiders to even be able to see this dragon much less kill him. I am in a high level raiding guild and we still tinkering with the front dragons of the north wing. It takes MONTHS of hard work getting levels, numbers, and equipment in order to take on dragons like this. The guilds that do dragons like this have often known each other for the duration of the game, maybe even beforehand as RPGer or gamers.
You realize the competition for just Myga? And if you want to own this kind of dragon, you better have a 1/2 dozen DB wizards ready to go. I spend months so far camping and gathering raid gear and still not done.
I am still amazed at all the people I know that can barely cross WW to get to TOV without dying on the way. Personally I would like to see one of these "WOW!" people even make it through SG without help much less get to TOV.
Anyway I hope one day I get to fight this guy, don't care if I get loot or not. It's the fact that I would have gone so far as a warrior and a guildmate to even see him.

The heck with crossing SG, I would like to see any of these WOW! people even camp in a marginally difficult zone like the Hole or SolB. Most of the WOW! people actually think gear means more than levels and that a 60AC BP will make you invincible. Which is funny, but people need their illusions.
Heck, at 54 I still respect the FV spiders and they con green and light blue. I think Lord Vulak will stay on my "Someday..." list for a while to come.

And yes, people/we need their/our illusions. This is speaking as one who had to solve the "twisting maze of passages, all different" with no pretty graphics.....;-). We've gained effects, but lost a lot of the hard puzzles....

1. Clear NToV
2. Start a ring of fire type quest (which once started, cant be stoped) and kill waves of attackers till the final pop of Vulak`Aeer. If you do try to leave before the quest is over you get DT'ed when you stepp out of the ring.
The quest is very buggy right now, and I dont think any guilds have done it completely yet.
Thanks to VI for taking the one mob with some of the best loot out of the game for God knows how long...
