Prince Bragnar  

I have never tried the Prince so I don't know what it is like. but here is an idea you guys should try. Get a druid or ranger with the harmony spell. This spell works wonders on areas where the mob you want is in the middle of them. cast this on the surrounding mobs then take on the prince. Shouldn't have a problem. or after casting harmony pull the prince to an area out of aggro range of his buddies.

I'm a lvl24 warrior and he is blue to me. Through experience I have learned that noone my lvl or lower can take the Prince by him/herself UNLESS you first get rid of as many Shamans in there as possible.(One lesser shaman is fine)As you try to kill him they will heal him faster than you can kill him...unless you are TWINKED! You don't have to get rid of any of the MOB's in there with him. When you are ready to take him on just charge in there all the way up to where he is standing. I mean get right into his face! The others won't even jump you! Saves you regen time and alot of unneccessary fighting with no exp. That's just my 2 cents worth. By the way the (Bracer) must be a rare drop because I went right in there on my first try and he had the Bracer. GOOD LUCK!

i have killed him like 20+ times and the best he has droped is bamboo splint so if any1 on the xev server has this brcer and have no need 4 it tell me and i will buy or trade 4 it ) thnx bye

Ok here is a relatively quick synopsis of my experience with the prince ove rthe last 2 days.

I am a L21-22 Enchanter (gained a level killing him). I tried going after this guy numerous times in the last 2 days and was only finally successful tonight.

Fisrt of all, he is L18. He has a 181 point Harm touch that he will hit whoever pulled him with. With the trivial loot code you have to be under about L25 or 26 to get his items. Even at those levels i wouldnt reccomend taking him on alone. He likes to draw his buddies in with him. They may or may not aggor at that level.

Anyway, here is my reccomendation for all you people 23 or under who want to take this guy.

If you are L23 or less you can't take this guy solo. He is surrounded by 6 other kobolds, most of whom will aggro on you even at L23. Also his bodyguards have a very fast respawn. It is tough to break the spawn unless you are in a group.

I tried doing him solo with my enchanter at 21. It didnt happen. It would take all my mana to get rid of about 1/2 his bodyguards. By the time i got enough mana to take a couple more the old ones would start repopping. If i just tried pulling the prince he would bring about 4 of those bodyguards with him. It may not be impossible to solo him at 21 or 22... but it is hard as hell.

I reccomend a group of 3 or 4 to take him out. I fought him in 3 different groups throughout the night.

First:
21 Enchanter (me)
22 Druid
18 Shadow Knight

It was tough but we got him. Without a healer we would have had difficulties in a group of 3

Second:
21 Enchnater (me)
18 Necro
19 Pally
18 Cleric

Things went pretty well with this group once we broke the spawn.

Third:
22 Enchanter (me)
18 Rogue
19 Rogue
19 Cleric

This group kicked ***. Mass damage from the 2 hasted rogues. Cleric healed. I did crowd control, and buffs.


The Prince himself is pretty easy. Once he drops the 180 point Harm Touch on you, he doesnt do anything special. The hardest part is getting rid of all his bodyguards before you pull him.

First kill the mobs marked with a +. You should be able to draw them both out at the same time without pulling any others.
From here you have some chioces. If you pull any of the mobs marked with a # all the rest of them will come after you. If you have a Druid or an Enchanter have them lull the Prince.. to reduce his frenzy range. From there have your highest lv char pull a mob with the @ sign. If he is high enough (bout 20-21) the two # mobs shouldnt join in (depends on what they are. Usually frenzied kobolds which wont aggro this way). Now you just have the two #'s and the prince. If none of the others have respawned pull the prince with your highest lvl guy (watch out.. he is gonna take about 200 damage!). You should be able to fight the prince alone, and the other 2 mobs shouldnt aggro (depending on what they are and the level of the puller).

It helps to have some crowd control in case pulls dont work out as planned. An enchanter with and AoE mes works very well, but you can get by with root and stun if you need to.

I killed him 4 times

1. Shield
Dice
Alcohol of some kind

2. Shield
Dice

3. Dice

4. Nothing

He also drops an average amount of money 1-4 plat.

A couple other notes. The shamans will heal other kobolds if they are nearby. Take them out.
If you sit down to med there are some low LVL kobolds who will aggro on you. They are pretty easy to kill, but if they start running off they can easily create a huge train and wipe out your group. I reccomend somoene in your group having root ready, and have the job of traffic cop. My first party almost got wiped out by a train this way.
Honestly, the fast repop of the princes bodyguards, and the threat of a train are the worst dangers here. The prince himself is not that tough if you can survive his harm touch.

My group -- 17 necro, 17 bard, 21 cleric, & me (20 cleric) killed the Prince twice last night. First time, he either dropped nothing -- not even money -- or else one of the others ninja-looted him in the middle of the big fight. Second time, he dropped the bag of dice, which I won the roll for. Ball of yarn would be kinda cool, if I could just get to SB ((first problem) then get to Kejek town (second problem).

I heard the Kejeks in SB are KOS to evil races. Is this true?

Other than that, Warrens is kinda cool.

i went to warrens tonight 25 bard killed him like 4 times and got nothing from him at all nothing but silver that sucks ****

will he drop the dice for me?

4- Tiny Pouch of Bone Dice (NO DROP) No known use. Most prob for quest. (Speculate to be related to Stoneburnt Mountains? Unsure)

5- Bronze Katana, Jutte, Wakizashi, Tanto Bo, etc.. *** bronze weapons.

6- Bamboo Splint - coif mantle tunic leggings, etc... Bamboo Splint armr, Looks like dark rusty banded mail. Cool stuff.

7- Fish Wine, White Wine, Honey Mead, Mead, Red Wine, Short Ale, Short Beer, Ale.

8- Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Star Rose Quartz, Hematite, Cat's Eye Agate... etc. low level gems.

At any one time he will TWO of the items, from different catagories. The times for me when he dropped only ONE item he gave me about 4plat... and there was twice he dropped THREE items, but dropepd only 2silver 5 copper average.

From my time hunting him,
Out of 22 kills over 3 days. (dropped 45 items)
1- 1 cloak
2- 1 bracer
3- 2 shield
4- 7 Pouches of bone dice
5- 9 Weapons
6- 6 pieces of bamboo splint assorted
7- 14 bottles of assorted alcohol. The young prince must be a boozer!
8- 5 gems, lapis,hematite,star-rose,malachite,cat eye agate

Prince Bragnar is a Level 18 (not 19, not 23) ShadowKnight.

When he's in 50feet of you (or the person highest on the hate list) he will open up with a 181dmg harmtouch EVERYTIME. One way to avoid this if you are too low a level to take the hit and keep fighting, is to snare/darkness him, and when he HTs you, run to zone.
--Remember!--
When zoning in the Warrens, cut diagonally as much as you can to cut down the distance, all mobs in the Warrens run in the 4 cardinal directions only, i.e at right angles, and ply along the center of the cave/corridor/pathway. You can put some distance b/w yourself and the chasing mob by cutting corners.
After you zone, get healed up, and return to take on the Prince.

That is the rough sketch, of the guards the prince has. The GS (Greater Shamans: Cast a Shaman LightHeal(25hp heal?) on their master every 5sec when he is below half) are hidden behind the Pillars, so usually you will only see 5 mob when looking on the Prince's seat when there are actually 7. The Prince in the centre, and the 4 bodyguards in front.
Now, the X can be 1-Elite Kobold 2-Huge Kobold 3-Pack Elder(not leader, which is harder than an elite).

If the person pulling the Prince is level 25 or less, Prince, 1 or 2 Greater SHamans will come along. If the person pulling is level 23 or less, Elites and Huge Kobolds will aggro on you, and 21 or Less ALL WILL AGGRO meaning a tought fight unless you got 5 members (assuming you are all same level) Elites hit hard, even when green. When i got swarmed by 3 Elites and the Prince( i took the harmtouch) and 1 G-shaman, after i took down the prince i had only 1 bub left at 23 (my buddy was 22) i couldn't make it out in time (they stun pretty often).

Best way to do it is naturally get someone who is level 26-27 (i think if you are 10 levels above the mob you don't get exp from the mob... at 28 the Prince became trivial. Prince level is 18.) to pull him. he respawns every 50 mins thereabouts. Please correct me if i'm wrong as i never really bothered to sit down in one spot and time his respawn.

his drops are VERY rare,i've camped him for a good deal of time and gotten 2 cloaks of the forlorn,some random bamboo and another crappy item,he usually dropped nothing or a bag of dice.

Killed him 4 times, 1 bamboo splint mantle and 2 tiny bags of skull dice. The bags are lore, no drop. anyone have any clue what tehy are for?

This fool opens up with a harm touch for 180dmg or so. Just have that healer ready =D
Oh and if your party is willing enough (or has brains) kill everything at the front before the Prince and you will have a better chance of killing him because they all will help out; yes even the weakling Rabied Kobolds.

I was killing this guy at level 27 and still gleaning a touch of XP from him. Despite the fact that he wasn't trivial to me, after 4 kills he never dropped anything but coin (3sp, 4cp -- that sort of thing). Fights as a shaman.
