I found Ice Blood on a mammoth, anyone know what it's for?

do their pelts STACK? if so Ill RAKE em in and make some armor.. :) i might just take my 13 Ranger out for a spin here... and see what I can track down. can someone mail me if the pelts STACK?

No they don't stack.. and they are HEAVY! Ask a shammy realllly nice for some spirit pouches then have fun.

Keeping in mind that the bank in Halas is run by the rogues guild, that extra faction with them is nice, especially if you are doing the gnoll fang quest.
My 3 level barbarian warrior wound up twinking herself with this quest. Selling everything she'd collected she got 5 gp together and bought 4 mammoth hides at one of the shops in Halas, gave it to the rogue upstairs and got a pair of Black Wolf arms which she then sold for almost 4 pp. Better equipted, my next 4 polar bear cubs dropped 2 HQ pelts and my now 4th level warrior suddenly had 60pp.

As soon as i hit lvl 10 i solo'd these freaks. I never got agro'd by more than one mammoth calf at a time. It was to easy if you ask me. I guess maybe i was just being smart making sure that i never got two.

The rougue quest is worth doing even if you're not one. The mammoth calf hides only sell to vendors for approx. 8 silver, but if you do the quest you can sell the black wolf armor to vendors for some plat. Even better if you can sell it to another player! The faction bonus with the rougues is nice too.

im sure you've seen rogues with black wolf armor if you've been hunting in everfrost by now. what you do is take 4 mammoth calf hides to some guys in the Rogue guild and he'lll give you a random piece of armor. not too great, but at level 15 you could already start twinking a rogue.

i was easily taking these out at lvl 6 :) .... with the help of my lvl 27 druid friend who healed and damaged shielded me up to lvl 11. Thanks allele ;)
I've seen, and done trains of 5-10 of mammoths and their calves and it is scary as walkin in on your parents when your the one being chased but if you're watching, it's AWSOME! Awe, poor little lvl 10 decided to try to kill the mammoth calf. Oh, there's it's mom! Wow, it's uncle to. Look, here comes it's cousins. This is nice. One big family reuinion over the trampled remains of a lowbie. How sweet.

These animals are a little tricky, the con blue, yellow, and red to me, so I can't figure out if one is going to kill me if I attack it or not.

haha to the guy before me ive seen it happen i was almost killed but i had sow and like a whole lot of lvl 50s came and layed the smack down on em

I remember when I was just a wee warrior, at lvl 13 I was so happy to be swinging 2 swords finally and I was takin down calfs like a pro. Now that Im a lvl 50 warrior, every once in a while I come around to get a quick buck or 2. I never understood why when I was lvl 13 I got trained by mamas all day long, but when I finally can kill like 4 mammoths attacking me at the same time, I cant find a one of em ;p

I know how u feel. At lowere lvls they were aggroing on me like crazy. Then when I was high enough to hunt them they were no where to be seen. Even had my druid friend track them and no luck.
Guess its like when u go shopping. When u dont have the money they all over the place and for cheap, but when u get money and go to buy theres no more. aaaah well guess i'll try again some other day.

Now these are some of the funnest creatures in Everfrost to hunt. They look cool and do quite a bit of damage with their gore attacks. Their tusks are wortha few gold in town. Watch out, they are not aggro unless they see you attacking others of their own kind. Nothing is worse than leading a train of Mammoth calves and Mammoth adults to the guards.
