Basically this fellow is a mini-dragon for the level 25ish range. He drops pretty good loot for his level and deals damage at a higher than normal rate.

I'm conning him now at 85 and he's gray. Still too scared to take him on. Seeing as were both amphibians I think we should just show mutual respect and eat the kobolds.
Is that it?

Just one solitary Muglwump? With no invis potions available with shammy potion recipes and the other invis only available in Gloomingdeep, It means solo Warriors have lucked out for invis unless they group. With their huge aggro range, travelling anywhere with a warrior solo is courting disaster.

not hard at all

He should be more popular!

Wish soe would buff him and his loot and make him unattackable by higher than 25-lvls, so there would become lowbie 20s raids at him.. Would be awesome to see 3 groups of 20s having arranged raid to beat the mighty Muglwump. :P
He should be more popular!

It sure wouldn't take 3 groups as it stands... My group killed him last night - SK, 2 mages, rogue, cleric (me), all between level 12 & 16. This was on Combine server, a week after it opened, so we were all in old school gear - I was wearing patchwork! :) Took us 2 tries, was a ton of fun.

I like Raglokk's suggestion. Redo the whole warrens but don't raise the level --just improve the loot table for low level people. But limit it in some way so one high level character isn't always farming it and killing the cool mobs.
ROFL...

I didn't go through every one of the messages in here... but I didn't see this in the ones I did notice... He rampages at any amount of health... rampaged at 98%, 80%, etc. for me at level 44... *shrug* Go figure, only did 2% health to me with 978 ac and 3333 hp (temp)
loot

He dropped 2 peridots for me.
Sokokar?
# Apr 10 2004 at 4:10 PM Rating: Decent
Maybe he's a Sokokar, the dragon-froglok hybrid.

Took him on with 30 Pal and 27 SK easily. SK maybe got to 70% health. Didn't even need to cast a spell. Dropped the fishing pole and the single charge invis potion.

Am a 40 paladin now (yes, I level slowly :p)

Took him out two times.

First time he dropped an opal and a Uliorn's Fishing Pole, second time he dropped a Soiled Evoker's Robe and a potion of light healing.

I decided to take this guy on as a twinkie (900hp, 220 int, otherwise as typical as you get) 36 enchie. Took him on with 1 1/2 bars mana and 80%hp. Had pet buffed with haste and dual wielding with a minotaur axe. He took it out of me pretty quick but once pet got agro he dropped fast. Seems to only drop no drop items these days, in which case whats the point when you can do the king or high shaman?

My Experience
# Jun 06 2003 at 2:31 AM Rating: Default
Ok, Lt Blue to 38 shaman... came in here to raise Paineel faction and stumbled on this guy after slaughtering most of the warrens. (I'm the only person in zone, it's an off hour.) This guy has to be an undercon. I had 250/1087hp afterwards. I have an ac of 750, and was buffed to 850ac. I could not slow, root, or otherwise change his speed. I resorted to double dot, then nuke him down. I wish I had dogdog out for that one, though I think I would lost him. And boy can overgrown tadpole run! I just followed him, the dot's finished him. Dropped Cast Iron Stein and Midnight Sea Mail Coat.
Easy for 2 30's
# Apr 22 2003 at 7:30 PM Rating: Default
Me (28 Magician) and A guildy (30 Paladin) took him down easy, we were lost lookin for stonebrunt.

Anyway, dropped a Peridot and a single charge Invis potion.
Midnight Sea Mail

He also drops the Midnight Sea Mail Coat for Erudite paladins and clerics
A mini Vox

This thing would be great to bring a bunch of level 10s to and pretend like it was a real dragon.

Muglwump
# Jan 02 2003 at 2:55 AM Rating: Default
Either lvl is screwed or something. Me and my friend killed him twice 2day while killing other nameds in Warrens. He is in a pool outside the secret exit from Krode's place. He hits anywhere from 1 to around 51, and hits about 15pct faster than most creatures. When you get him below 20pct health, he runs, he runs VERY fast, so be ready to catch him, he runs usually towards the room with King Graganr, but sometimes he returns to his pool, at any rate, he dropped Etched Chitin shield and potion of light healing on first kill, second kill, Helm of Riddosan and Soiled Robe thingy.

We also killed King Gragnar, dropped Cold iron BP, we killed the master shaman dude, he dropped bokken and the globe of everburning flame, he aggroed and popped right after king went down, we killed Krode, no drops and prince dropped his dice and a bag. Hope that helped.
