Faction? What faction?

I've killed a number of these in the past week.
At no time did I receive any faction hit message.
There is no positive Ring of Scale faction message for killing these.
There is no negative Vox/Nagafen faction message for killing these.
There is no faction message at all for killing these.
Perhaps there is faction for doing one of the quests related to their drops?
What was the source of the faction information given above?

I love hitting these guys with my beastlord. They will carry you from level 9 to level 13 easy... At level 13 most are light blue to me but every once in a while I get a dark blue, so the exp is good, the loot is good (lixt wing stalk = 4 gold each, plus some decent selling large cloth armor), but the main thing for me is the Wrath Orc Wristband. It's the last item you turn in for your Beastlord outfit quest to Hoyce in Halas, but you can keep turning it in for good exp. 4 Wrath Orc Wristbands at level 12 got me over a gold bub of exp... It was great!

No faction

The snow orcs here aren't on any faction. I've been hunting them for a long time and there's never been any faction associated with them that I know of.
Unless the faction messages are broken, which I presume they are not.

For anyone who's tired of gettin' mowed down by Gore while runnin' DL... check the faction these boys. Might spend a few days up here after the Faydedar raid this weekend, throwin' some heals and buffs around to get some faction.

edit: Killed a bunch o' Orcs (Troopers, Mountaineers, etc) the other day, noticed no faction gain with ring o' scale. Time to move on.

there is a beastlord quest that requires a bracer thing from the orcs. in return you get a beastlord only tunic. it is given by THE beastlord quest guy, if only i could remember his name, He is in a hut accross from the trainer.

They hit hard, but they don't last long with me. They often drop good loot, but all I want is their bracers.
another adjustment needed

While hunting in Everfrost with a companion, we came across eight in a row that conned blue to her, and she's the same level I am (Level 13). They were still fairly easy for us to take out; however, the fact remains that they came up blue to a pair of level 13 characters. Maybe level 12 is their upper limit?
Don't forget to finish em off...

One of my friends and I were killing calves when one of these aggroed on us. We whomped him a few times and he ran away, because we were both around 14th level. We promptly forgot about him, because a momma just happened by and started nailing my friend for picking on the calf he'd just pulled, and we had to make a run for good old Bandl. After Bandl buchered the momma, we went back to our hunting spot and were promply greeted by the orc trooper we'd left... and 15 of his closest friends. At first, there were only 3, but more and more showed up, including a pair of mounties. They came in small groups of two or three at a time. This was unusual because we were along the wall, off the monster paths, and they were running directly for us, and troopers and mouties only run when they are aggroed on someone. In the end, we were both down past half health and thanking the Tribunal that no shamans had joined the fight. Neither of us had ever seen orcs behave like that, and I hope it doesn't happen to me again. Moral of the story: Don't forget about the ones that run, or they'll come back to haunt you. :)
Little tougher than 9

hehe, i remember when EQ first came out, that the pics of these orc used to be seen in CB under the name of orc slavers. Apparently the orcs aren't as dumb as they look. They shipped these bad boys of to the cold everfrost peaks. hehe just a funny side note to all this
Good loot

These are highly sought after in Everfrost for their loot. They drop good coin, and rarely drop the Wrathorc Wristbands that are part of two quests in Halas. The more beneficial of the two will get you Raw-Hide armor form Cindl for only two wristbands. These are often the target of Barbarian hunting parties on the tundra.
Wristbands

There are two minor quests in Halas requiering wristbands from these fellows..
Give two wb´s to Cindl at Macs kilts or four wb´s to Lysbeth McNaff at the Pit
for some goodies.

The loot for these guys is pretty good if you ask me. I mean i`ve gotten 4 gold off of these guys before and that is pretty good for a lvl 9 Barb. Sham. Don`t you think so?
