For Hunter Info,

Slaughter everything in the valley south of the giant fort between shardwurm and north of the unoccupied single hut. Should spawn from PH of a giant, but cannot confirm he did not spawn from PH of wolf.

Okay, I'll check in my logs as I have time. Probably keeping it to the past 6 months would be best as they have changed over time as you mention.

We want all faction/drop/loc whatever information.

Non-named people may want to grind out a faction on. With all the progression servers it is nice to have updated drop tables on old mobs too, as the worthless vendor trash (in today's game) can actually be a factor for some on those servers.

We're also noticing that quite a few old world mobs have had their factions partly changed over the years so verifying things is good.

He spawned after a Ring War
# Jul 31 2003 at 9:45 AM Rating: Default
They had a Ring War on the MT server last night. After the fight I went to GD and found him on track behind the Ice Giant Fort. He had the leggings on him. It may be that when he first spawns after a Ring War or after a server reboot that he will have the leggings on him? He spawned again a few minutes later and had the shield on him.
4 Longshanks spawned on MT yesterday
# Jul 14 2003 at 8:44 AM Rating: Decent
I logged my 55 Druid in Sunday morning and found Longshanks on track, he only had the Shield. I sat down, clicked on track and there were 3 others there too!!!!! I do not know what caused so many to spawn but the nice thing is that the last one had the leggings! I sent out shouts to the others in the zone that the shields were rotting and free to a good home (or and evil one) and gave the location of the corpse. They still give great XP to a 55 Druid.

Logged on with my 55 Druid and again there were multiple Longshank's spawned here. I don't know what it takes to get them to spawn but it is great XP having more than 1 to go after.

Gorul has close to 10k HP, as compared to the Elite giants which have 5k, scouts have about 2000-2500, berserkers are around 3000-3500. I have hunted Gorul about 25-30 times, he always drops either the buckler or the ice weave pants. My drop ratio is 1/5 or 1/6. Cannot say what the price is on my server, as I have equiped alts and passed the rest on to guildies.
Dark blue to my 55 Druid
# Jun 30 2003 at 10:30 AM Rating: Decent
I am working on my 2nd set of AA points and this guy was up and dark blue to my 55 Druid. Lots of HP's and it took a long time to die from the Druid dot's. Only broke root once and he had the shield. Spawns behind the ice giant fort, just wait for him to move away from other giants, snare and pull to the mountain wall and then root and dot.
Finally got the leggings to drop
# Jul 06 2003 at 6:57 PM Rating: Decent
Was getting ready to log, decided to do one last track and he was there, snared him, rooted him and lots and lots of dots. He had the leggings, essence of rathe, and one other item. Killed him about 5 times over a week and finally got em :)

Easy kill, just a bit more HP than the Elites. Sheild is his common drop, yesterday i got Ice Weave. i've killed him at least 5 times and only seen the legs one time.
Not to hard

I took him out the other day. Nailed him with Tugurs, plaugue and envenomed bolt. Sent in my fully buffed puppy. He breaks root whenever I casted a dot, otherwise stayed put. (yes I use root, try it and you will see why). I did have c3 and 2 44 cleric buffs plus self buffs. used alot of mana blasting him with dd's. He can double for 125. Had to heal puppy once and recast Ebolt 1 time. Chagred in and beat him with Barbarian Spiritualists Hammer, 2 procs in that fight. Lost 2 bubbles of health. Dropped velium weapon, and shield. Fight lasted about 5 minutes

Taking Gorul down
# May 06 2002 at 4:20 PM Rating: Excellent
I was passing by the giant fort when I picked this guy up on tracking. I already had the Iceweave on my wish list to pass on to my lizzy SK so I couldn't miss the opportunity to take a swing at him. Turned out he was roaming around just south of the fort, close to where the velium miners can be found. No-one else was trying for him so I refreshed my SoW and went after him.

I am a 52 druid, with 200 Wis and my trusty ES vambraces. I pulled him clear of his chums with Ensnare then added a Ro's Fiery Sundering. Once he was out in the open, I used Ensnaring Roots, Breath of Ro and Drifting Death until I was down to just under a blue bub of mana. By this time, he was at about 60 pc health. I then resorted to my vambraces to keep nibbling away at him while I medded up enough for a new Ro's.

All told, the fight took about 20 minutes. Gorul broke root a few times, although never enough to become a concern. I think only 1 or 2 DoTs were resisted. When he finally dropped, he had Essence of Rathe, a velium weapon, a few plat ... and the Iceweave. I was one happy lil' druid. I'd say that Gorul is a fairly easy, though lengthy, fight - just make sure you keep your SoW and his snare refreshed. He hit me a few times for 130.

Good luck with him!

Ok, im a lvl 30 shadow knight. I want to get everyone's opinion please.

I have an iskar regen bp. Though i do like grouping, and the bp cuts down time soloing, im not sure if i should sell this for 6k, and get a treeweave, iceweave, and some nice arms. Though no more regen, higher ac... not sure what to do. Im just a confused shadow knight. All your comments are GREATLY appreciated =) thank you

Braveheart
# Aug 10 2001 at 5:47 AM Rating: Good
Edward the Longshanks was a British king. The grandfather of Edward III (the beginner of the Hundred Years War). He is known for invading Wales and Scotland. One of his biggest breakthroughs was incorporating the long bow into his army. His grandson would use this to help win Crecy and other such battles.
The movie Braveheart is pretty damn historically inaccurate (based on Blind Harry's tales..which were made up to impress kings). Yet, it does tell the loathing of Edward I (Longshanks..which means "long" or "tall"..because Edward was a tall *******) for William Wallace. The "betrayer" was Robert the Bruce. He didn't betray Wallace..in fact he was an alley with Wallace at first. Yet, Wallace wanted to put John (the king imprisoned by Edward and made a puppet) back on the throne. Robert wanted to be king. Robert later lead the Scotish to their freedom. FYI..Sterling Bridge had a bridge in it. Anyways...this info. can be found in any book about the Scottish wars of Independence..Robert the Bruce...William Wallace..or Edward I

Longshanks was the King (British), obviousely not a friend of Wallace. Just thought I'd fix that =)
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 17 2001 at 8:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) longshanks, i think it was edward, was a friend of william wallaces, if you've seen braveheart, he's the guy who betrays william, but the goes on to lead after wiliam is killed. i know alot of stuff, if the guy who had that easter egg site should put his in, thanks verant

A lot of monks are doing the Kromrif military leggings quest now, because the stats are so good and your weight cap is a lot higher at 51 (18 lbs). These are decent monk leggings. Str and Ac are good.
tough

I have solo'd him many times as a level 53 druid. He is VERY magic resistant. My root fails probably about 20% of the time. Root also wears off very quick on him. He can resist Winged Death also.
He is a tough fight.
